Everyone at the studio is prepping for an exciting 2024 and we can't wait to share our roadmap (A.K.A. plan) with all of you, but we have a few updates to bring you first. We can't just vent to the new goodies like an Impostor or something...

We hope you've been enjoying the Indie Cosmicube! If you haven't picked it up yet be sure to do so and come up with an outfit that screams I REALLY LOVE INDIE GAMES!!1!!1!!

Our winter holiday is coming up and plans are forming to spend time roasting marshmallows in The Fungle. Before we go, let's look back on some highlights of 2023:

We had a bunch of collabs with our friends at Bungie, Pusheen, and Paramount. And of course our friends Behemoth, Untitled Goose Game, A Hat in Time, Celeste, Undertale, and Crypt of the Necrodancer as part of the Indie Cosmicube.


Are you being a task master in your favorite collab outfit? We can't spill the beans about next year but we're not ending our collaborations here so keep your visors peeled. 👀

It wasn't all fancy new outfits this year (I do love a good fashion game though). Among Us grew in many new ways - like turning 5 years old and celebrating with a birthday stream!


We also said farewell to the main menu which has been the gateway to many betrayals and clip-able moments for all of you. To replace it, we said hello to our brand new menu along with improvements to Quick Chat, reporting features, and continually squishing bugs.



This year wouldn't have been complete without the addition of our latest map - The Fungle! You've been ziplining, fishing, pumping iron, roasting marshmallows (and Crewmates) on the fifth Among Us map. What's been your favorite part of The Fungle?



Woah, woah! Don’t forget about us beans in the VR world!


Among Us VR has had a great year of highlights: the addition of Polus Point, sweet sweet LoFi jams, improvements to matchmaking and moderation, Fidget Features, and ALL 🎉 OF 🎉 THE 🎉 HATS. 🎉

But we aren’t stopping there. We’ve got numerous surprises in our backpacks getting ready to share next year… which you can get a sneak peek of in our 2024 Roadmap!

Big thank you to our players for making this year a great one of growth, learnings, and adorable bean death! Err… teamwork. Yeah, teamwork! 👀

I hope you're not too funky from The Fungle which was released last month (you could always use the water at the beach). This month we have some new updates and a special drop as a part of v2023.11.28.

🚨 Important: As of this update, we will be deprecating (removing) 2021 versions of Among Us. 🚨 We've been supporting a lot of older versions of the game, and as it continues to grow and get new features, it gets harder to keep up. We have to remove older versions so we can focus on improving our system for everyone. Make sure you update your game and thanks for understanding!






We've built our biggest Cosmicube yet featuring: Untitled Goose Game, Undertale, Crypt of the NecroDancer, Celeste, Behemoth (Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid), and A Hat in Time! That is a whole lot of delightful indies right there and so many new ways to dress your Crewmates and impress as the Impost - HONK - hey!

And if you think this couldn't get more awesome, you're wrong. We hope you've been saving up because this Cosmicube only costs 7000 beans!!! Stop by the in-game shop now as the cube will only be available until February 28, 2024!

The team has been swatting mosquitos and other in-game bugs that may have been impacting your time in The Fungle or Among Us experience in general. Here are a few items that have been fixed:

• [The Fungle] - Mushroom Mixup sabotage now randomizes skins
  
• [The Fungle] - Some layering and animations have been fixed
  
• [The Fungle] - You can now kill the Dummy that spawns in the kitchen. Their immortal reign is over
  
• [The Fungle] - The Zipline SFX no longer plays continuously if a Crewmate is on it when a meeting is called
  
• [The Fungle] - Campire SFX no longer plays during the intro sequence. Save the fire for the Impostors 🔥
  
• [The Fungle] - The label for the Dock shows up on the map now. No more pretending you don't know where it is...
  
• [The Fungle] - The orange fish catch rate is now in line with the other fish
  
• [The Fungle and Mira HQ] - Aim crosshair is back for the 'Water Plants' task when using a controller
  
• [All Maps] - Quick Chat phrases that were listed incorrectly as Sabotages have been corrected
  
• Shapeshifters won't lose functionality when double tapping the 'Use' button when they start to shapeshift
  
• Improvements for the black screen lobby bug - some users should no longer experience this error
  
  • A new error message will pop up if it does occur! Please write us a ticket if you see it
• Various smaller fixes

That's a lot of fixes! Remember to submit a ticket to our help desk if you see a new bug or want to let us know about anything impacting your ability to commit crimes do tasks!

That's right. Our team has been so hard at work, they've already gone ahead and squashed a bunch of lil' bugs that you, our precious Crewmates, didn't even get a chance to see in action! As of right now, there are zero new known bugs to let you all know about with this update. Of course, that doesn't mean there won't be new ones that pop up (and we'd love to hear from you all if and when you find something out of place, so be sure to send in those support tickets!), but for right now, we can all focus on what really matters - releasing a goose in Dors' office unlocking those sweet new outfits!

Hang onto your seats, Crewmates!!

We've crash landed with a brand new update, v2023.10.24, featuring THE FUNGLE! Gather your crew and explore the mysterious depths of this fungal jungle together.

🚨 NOTE: You MUST update your game to play. 🚨 This update is not backwards compatible, so make sure you are on v2023.10.24 to get the new map and fixes.





Work with your fellow Crewmates to repair the communication channels after crashing into a deserted island! But it's never that easy is it? Crewmate life is full of dread and chaos.

Deal with an all new sabotage, fix the old ones, and figure out who the Impostors are before you become one of their victims! I wouldn't stand so close to that vent if I were you...

There's a boatload of new tasks for you to try too like:

• 🥏 Playing frisbee
  
• 🎣 Fishing
  
• 🍢 Roasting marshmallows
  
• 🏋️‍♂️ Lifting weights
  
• 🔪 Many more!

What would a brand new map be without some brand new cosmetics? There's a ton of fresh and Fungle combinations in the shop for those of you saving up beans and a Fungle Cosmicube for 70 Stars.


Because they were in such a pinch, the Crewmates opted for a crustacean layout for the new Cosmicube! There's plenty to get hooked on. I'm a big fan of the bucket hat personally, but I've seen how feral you've been for the crab! 👀



Bzzzt Comms may have been destroyed when we crashed on The Fungle, but you pulled through on completing a secret task! Last week, many Crewmates noticed we posted slices of.. something??

Scattered across our Reddit, Discord, Twitter (X?), Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram, you scavenger hunted your way to victory and discovered that a zipline would be on the map! Put together, this is what it looked like:



Feel free to download and use it as your new Fungle wallpaper - just mind the crab! They're a tad pinchy.



We've been squashing a bunch of bugs in preparation for The Fungle! (Can someone please take care of these mosquitos though?) Here's a list of the biggest fixes:

• Chat box will be selected when opening it in Free Chat - no more needing to click and then type!
  
• Tweaks to audio files which should reduce load times on lower end devices
  
• The Airship and The Fungle will take an extra 5 seconds to load so lower end devices can get all needed assets
  
• Pets of dead players will no longer sit idle - they'll go back to being heartbroken that you're dead
  
• Guardian Angels can no longer protect Crewmates during Comms Sabotage
  
• When creating or finding a game, Impostor count no longer defaults to 3

That's quite a few updates! As always, be sure to let us know if you find a bug or glitch that impacts how you play by submitting a ticket to our helpdesk. The info you give us helps make Among Us better for everybean.




Hey y'all! What an amazing time for the crew. Enjoying the relaxing sands of an oceanside retreat, picking mushrooms as you stroll through a shady jungle, running for your life from bloodthirsty Impostors... The Fungle really has it all!

Of course, having it all means having some unexpected bugs, too. We're already hard at work on smashing the latest bunch, but Crewmates out there in The Fungle may experience the ones listed below:

• [Fungle] - The sound effects for the zipline may play continuously if a meeting is called while a player is on the zipline.
  
• [Fungle] - The campfire sound effect may play during a game's intro sequence.
  
• [Fungle] - Invisible collision may block player movement around the Labs.
  
• [Fungle] - The map label for the dock may not be correctly displayed at times.
  
• [Fungle] - The orange fish may be caught at a much higher rate than the others during the fishing task.
  
• [Fungle] - Hats may float behind the player while using the zipline under certain conditions.
  
• [Fungle] - A Crewmate may hang too far below the zipline during the travel animation.
  
• [Fungle] - Using the zipline during a Mushroom Mixup may display the wrong hand color.
  
• [Fungle] - An incorrect task explanation may be displayed while completing the Roast Marshmallow task.
  
• [Practice Mode] - A dummy in the kitchen may spawn that cannot be killed.
  
• [All Maps] - Quick Chat may incorrectly list certain terms as sabotages.
  
• [All Maps] - Shapeshifters may lose functionality if the shapeshift time runs out while completing the Reactor Handprint Reader and Door sabotages.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

We've talked to a lot of Crewmates about our reporting system lately, and it seems like a lot of you are unaware that we have a whole team of beans whose job it is to read and review the in-game reports you all send. It takes time to go through them, yeah, but it's an important part of keeping the game healthy. So we thought we'd add a little reminder in-game for how our review process works (as well as a thank you for caring enough to help us keep the game fun for everyone).

After sending an in-game report, players will now see the message below to help everyone know:

YES, we do read reports.
YES, they do help (even though you can't see it right away).
And NO, you can't get banned for false "mass reports" (since we actually read and evaluate what's sent).

Well, Crewmates checks calendar the seasons are changing! We celebrated the coming of the Autumn Equinox by holding a Community Art Event in our Discord.

It was delightful to see your interpretations of how the Crewmates, Impostors, Sloths, and even Henry would be in different stages of autumn.

The event into 3 categories: Early Autumn, Mid Autumn, and Late Autumn. The most popular art pieces, as voted by our Discord, will be on display as our Discord banner until the winter arrives for us in the northern hemisphere. Time for another update Crewmates!

While you were getting all comfy with the Pusheen Cosmicube and giving some well deserved pets to the new fluffly members of the crew, we were busy with our newest update: 2023.7.11




Last update, we brought you a brand new hub in the form of our new main menu! The changes to our look and UI continue with our brand new Quick Chat!

The old radial wheel is gone and now we have a Quick Chat Builder which slides out from the right side of your screen! See phrases you use regularly? Want easy access to 'yeet' ? That's where the new favorite option comes in.


Other features of the new Quick Chat include:

• Refined categories
  
• More remarks and phrases
  
• Color coded Crewmate names
  
• A nice little visual bounce when the Quick Chat Builder opens

Our UI expert, Lucy worked really hard to redesign Quick Chat to be more user friendly and make accusing your friends a breeze. Before you start chatting away, let's take a look at what else is going on!




They're baaaaaaaaack. Ghostface has made a reappearance in Among Us. Check out the details here!

I want everyone to know that when Dors asked me to do a Bug Zone write up, he labeled on his draft as "Mike's cool section"

Some players have noticed an issue recently where the kill button wasn't working under certain conditions. The bug has been squished (yay), but anyone who still has an issue should please submit a bug ticket along with screenshots and video if you can get one. That's how we know what to squash, y'all!

Known Bugs

• [Crossplatform] An issue where some players do not receive an achievement despite having met the requirements.
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue where some players receive a message "Sure is taking a while to sign in" and cannot complete log in process.
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue during start up where some players receive a "Unity Error" message that force-closes the game
  
• *Some players have reported that uninstalling mods and reinstalling the game has solved this error.
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue where some players see a black screen upon joining a game lobby
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue where some players disconnect from a game and receive a message saying "Sent 6 pings that remote has not responded to"
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue where the rewards screen after a match is either too large or too small
  
• [Crossplatform] An issue where hovering over certain icons causes the click sound effect to play on a continuous loop.
