Hope you've been having fun with Hide n Seek! We released a small patch v2022.12.14 today to address a few things which have come up since release:

🔪 STRMISS filter should now be fixed and you can select the proper filters again to find lobbies

🔪 Missing lesbian pride flag nameplate is now in the store

🔪 We added some error checking and logging to try to understand the asdfasdf impostor issue that has been reported, but it has not necessarily been fixed yet sorry!!

🔪 We're still working server side to address disconnects that may occur while you play

Hey there, Crewmates and Impostors! 
 
Super excited to share our brand new game mode as part of v2022.12.8: Hide n Seek! The team has been hard at work building this new mode which brings some heart-racing action alongside our classic social deduction form of Among Us. 



I wont spoil all of the surprises but here’s a few pointers for Hide n Seek:

• If you’re a Crewmate, your goal is to complete tasks to run down the timer and survive until the time is up to win. If you’re the Impostor, your goal is to eliminate all the Crewmates!
  
  
• Do tasks – they make the timer go down faster 
  
  
• Watch your danger meter! If the Impostor is far away, the danger meter will be empty. The closer an Impostor is, the more the bar will fill up (red means they’re REALLY close) and the louder the music gets! Crewmates get a limited number of vents in this mode, so use them wisely to escape. 
  
  
• FINAL HIDE! These are the last few moments of the game where the Impostor gets a power boost, special Seek map, and a directional ping to where any surviving Crewmates are. CRYING. SCREAMING. TERRIFIED.
  

And that’s Hide n Seek! It’s been a blast getting to see the team take this from the concept born from our community into a full-fledged mode. If you’re looking for a full rundown on how the mode works check out our How to Play guide or our in-game tutorial.

Some more quick notes for Hide n Seek:

• [PC] All keybinds will be reset to default keybindings when the update is live. If you had them changed prior to the update remember to go in into the keybindings menu and change them.

• New game filter options 
  
  • When looking for public lobbies or creating one, you are now required to designate what kind of lobby it is. Currently, there are four options:
    
    • Beginner: Best for new players.
      
    • Casual: Best for players just looking to have fun and not take the game too seriously.
      
    • Serious: Best for players looking to win and play more deliberately.
      
    • Expert: Best for players who know Among Us well.
  
  
  
  
  
• Note: Filters will display with the exact options chosen. E.g. "Beginner" and "Serious" will find you lobbies tagged as BOTH those items. It will NOT list lobbies listed as only "Beginner" or "Serious".
  
• Pet your pets! You can now pet your lovable companions in-game and in lobbies. Stand near your pet and hold down the button to pet them.
  
  
  
• New Haunt button. Died? Wish you could track your friends or enemies easier to watch the end of the game? Our handy new Haunt button for ghosts allows you to do just that. Track any alive Crewmate, Impostor, or haunt your fellow ghosts!
  
  

No update would be complete without some fun cosmetics to add to your roster, and this one has a ton. First off - we heard you! More cosmetics you can buy with beans! Well get ready because the store now hosts a ton of new skins, nameplates, visors and even pets(!!!) that you can only get by having enough beans.



And speaking of pets... I just wanted to highlight my new favorite one to you which is a literal nugget. NUGGET PET. NUGGET PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!



Ahem, anyway.

Of course, we can't close out the year without some winter holiday themed goodies for all you good Crewmates and naughty Impostors! The two Snowflake and Snowbean Cosmicubes are back in the store, alongside a new Gift Cube Cosmicube.



The Snowbean and Snowflake Cosmicubes will be in stores until Jan 1, 2023 and the Gift Cube Cosmicube will be in stores until Feb 1, 2023! Be sure to grab yours when you can for some festive outings with your Crewmates.

Remember to check back in around New Years Eve too - there might be a fun little surprise waiting for you then in the game.

Whoooo – that was a lot of stuff, huh? This has been a long time coming and we can’t wait to hear and see what you think. Remember to tag us so we can totally find your sneaky hiding spots see all your shenanigans! 

Oh, and we have another super fun announcement: On Monday, December 13th a special cosmetic of Benoit Blanc from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is dropping! Just hop onto Among Us before January 10th and your sleuthing cosmetic is yours.

Hello Bean Lovers Anonymous!! 

Hmm. Bean lovers. Coffee beans? Do you think Crewmates would make a good cup of coffee if you (gently, lovingly) ground them up?  

….Anyway. Dors did a far better job of containing his excitement about our new mode than I ever could. Deep breaths...not going to run around screaming about how cool and fun Hide n Seek is... 

AHEM. I do have some official, technical (adjusts glasses) things to share with you all in the form of a list of known bugs for our Hide n Seek release, as well as an announcement. Never fear: the list of bugs is rather short and you should all still have smooth sailings into the new mode!  

• [Hide n Seek] Players may get killed while in the middle of venting
  
• [Hide n Seek] Players may get stuck in lobby after selecting "Play Again"
  
• [Classic] The first ejected Shapeshifter is incorrectly considered a Crewmate Ghost in a 2+ Impostor match and will be given tasks to complete.
  
• [All modes] Colorblind text does not show up in Quick Chat messages from other players

Some of you may have noticed Steam Community Items have dropped. That is because we've finally made them! WOOHOO. You get a Trading Card! YOU get a Trading Card! EVERYONE GETS TRADING CARDS (provided you play the game and whatnot.)

Hiya Crewmates!

The team has just released an update for Among Us, featuring some quality of life improvements and fixes. Here’s what you’ll see in version 2022.10.18, out now on all platforms!

• Upcoming free VR Visor cosmetic drop! We’ve all been super excited about the new Among Us VR news: The game will be available on Meta Quest and Steam VR November 10, 2022! To commemorate the occasion, we’ll be dropping a free VR Visor cosmetic from November 1 – 30, 2022 so make sure you claim it before it disappears! Careful you don’t run into an Impostor while you wear one...
  
  
  
  
• Halloween Cosmicubes have returned to the store- is it a trick? Maybe a treat? Be sure to get yours by October 31, 2022!
  
• The Skeld and MIRA HQ are now decorated to celebrate the spook month – have fun!

• The map now shows your last location when an Emergency Meeting is called instead of where the emergency meeting is.
  
• Lobby names are now randomized in an effort to combat reports of toxicity using custom ones – we are actively working on creating game filters and further our reporting efforts in order to make sure you’re able to play the games you want! Please be patient with us as we improve the game.

We’re getting closer and closer to the Hide n Seek release and let me tell you- I'm really excited for this game mode. The feelings through the studio are electric during playtests and we can’t wait to have you get your hands on it. It’s a bit spooky, chaotic and leads to some good laughs.

Speaking of spooky- now's a great time to check out our new Halloween merch, available in our store now. Featuring a very metal t-shirt, a stylish Impostor shirt, DUM hat, a cozy beanie, bag, and even Halloween themed stickers. Be sure to get yourself a treat while supplies last!

• Fixed a bug where the Friends List - Request Permission button couldn't be interacted with in the Blocked Players tab
  
• Players can now see the percentage completed within a Cosmicube

• Fixed a bug where the Kill cooldown wasn't ticking down when the Settings menu is open

Time to get spooky in Among Us with some Halloween fun! The Skeld and MIRA HQ are decorated and ready for all your tricks and treats from October 18 through November 1st.

Hi Crewmates!


We just released the latest update to Among Us, featuring some more fixes and quality of life updates. Here’s what you can expect in version 2022.8.23, out now on all platforms!

Edit: Thank you for your patience today as we push through some new bugs. We're currently working on a fix to address the lag issues we're seeing when players leave a game in the middle of a match. It seems to be affecting Impostors and Guardian Angels.

Hoping to have a resolution soon!

Edit 8/25/2022: Thank you for your patience! The hotfix to address the lag issue is live and under v2022.8.24. Please be sure to update!

• Food Cosmicubes! Spend your beans (and stars) on all new food themed cosmetics. You will look like an absolute snack. You may in fact look a little too delicious and be murdered by an Impostor but at least... uh.... hm.... Anyways it’s available now!

• Change the map from the lobby without restarting. I’ve seen you all be like “wow that took you long enough” and yeah! It sure has! What are you gonna do fight me???? (Please do not fight me, I am weak and cry easily.)
  
• New featured page on the store. A new way to display new or interesting Cosmicubes and cosmetics. These will have their own section at the top of the store!
  
• Star purchasing also have an updated tab with a shiny new look

• Beans and Pods multiplier SFX now tied to the SFX volume slider. Now you can control how loud you want your gains to be!

• Can now close Announcements with the ESC key on PC
  
• Door logs now display player icon cosmetics
  
• Store and inventory changes:
  
• New store sorting: the store is now sorted from newest to oldest
  
• Visual indicator to show which cosmetics and Cosmicubes you’ve already purchased
  
• Added a limited time banner for future cosmetics & Cosmicubes that it applies to
  
• Sanctions and censoring changes:
  
• Sanctions now display correctly instead of a general error when trying to enter matchmaking

• Links are now properly censored in chat
  
• Warnings are now issued for censored links
  
• Friends List and accounts:
  
• Friends List now displays in alphabetical order
  
• Win 10 - Players are now moved into their friend’s lobby when accepting invites from the game bar
  
• Users are properly signed into account if they are given account linking permissions

Bug fixes were definitely a thing this time around, and we’re super happy we got to smash a bunch of outstanding bugs that were giving you grief.

But first, let me reach out to YOU and thank you for being such outstanding members of our community. Whenever there are instances of bad behavior in our game, you are quick to act and help our team address these issues and enact any appropriate actions. In case you need a refresher, here’s how you report someone in-game:

In the Lobby or during meetings, open the Chat.



Click on the Kick icon.



Select the player you want to report.



Click on Report.



Select the reason for the report.



Click on Confirm.

If someone is engaging in illegal activity, please use the in-game report function and send us an email at support@innersloth.com with what you reported and your Among Us Account ID. We appreciate you!

Alrighty. On to the crunchy bugs. Let’s take a closer look at what we've addressed:

• Some hat cosmetics needed minor tweaks to display correctly
  
• Updated names on a few Airship Cosmetics
  
• Fixed cosmetics overrunning chat window when scrolling through messages
  
• Implement Login flow on iOS and Google Play (users 13 and younger) – users will be able to login with a Temporary Account
  
• Mira HQ – Vitals for Scientist now shows ‘Comms Sabotaged’ message when Impostor initiates Sabotage action
  
• Mira HQ – Fixed issue where colorblind text displayed in Door Log even if setting was inactive
  
• Friends List – Requests are now received correctly after adjusting the “Friend & Lobby Invites” option multiple times
  
• Fixed SFX audio on Empty Garbage task
  
• Fixed SFX track playing on music track during decontaminate task in The Airship
  
• Fixed missing animation frame of Twitch Glitch pet during idle animation
  
• Fixed character icon highlighting during Emergency Meetings
  
• Fixed issue where Colorblind Text and Streamer Mode settings were skipped when attempting to select with a controller while in active gameplay
  
• In-game bug reporting – This helps us Sloths and isn’t really anything you have to worry about, but the game is now able to better log any errors, so we have more insight on bugs
  
• Egypt Server Issues – Fix for network and connectivity for players in Egypt on all platforms

PHEW, speaking of cold beverages earlier, I could really go for some boba. Do you think Crewmates all hang out and drink boba in the Cafeteria? Is boba deadly in the hands of an Impostor? I could really go for some Impostor boba fanart...

Hi Crewmates!

The next thing we’re working on are some general updates and improvements that didn’t make it in the last update. Will get you a full list upon release, but here are some things to look forward to:

• New Cosmicube! 👀 You’ve been wanting more cosmetics and ways to spend your Stars and Beans, and don’t worry, something is coming. It’s a secret for now but let’s just say it’ll be delicious.
  
• Automatic game error reporting. This is more of a backend fix that you won’t see, but it’s cool enough to note! Essentially we’re implementing a system that alerts us if certain platforms or devices are experiencing weird crashes or other errors, which helps us pinpoint bugs to fix more easily. One step closer to getting an in-game bug reporting feature, wooOOOoOOo.
  
• The ability to change the map in the lobby settings without having to leave and start a new game.
  
• Small store and inventory redesigns, bug fixes, and more improvements. Keep an eye out!

This will come out soon/at some point/in the future/eventually/one day. In the meantime, we have put out a hotfix in v2022.7.12 aimed at the networking issues for players in Egypt. If it goes well, it'll be pushed to other platforms.

After the next update, Hide n Seek is still the big update we’re working on getting out this year and let’s just say we have a lot planned for it heheheh.

In the meantime, have fun, play nice, sabotage those Crewmates!

Hello dear Crewmates! I hope you’re looking forward to all the interstellar content we’ve got cookin’.

We had a few hiccups since our last log, whether it be server interruptions or some login issues, but things were wrangled quickly—in no small part because all of YOU were quick to let us know and give us all the information we needed to eject those bugs right into space. Thank you for being so patient and kind when it comes to that kinda stuff!

We are currently working hard to wrap up some weirdness involving Star purchasing and DLC, so please continue to let us know if you experience any problems related to these new things.

And for some awesome news: we now have a ✨shiny✨ new Help Center!! You can troubleshoot common issues here, learn more about our game, and use our super helpful Support Ticket feature. This ensures that if you have an issue, we get as much problem-solving info from you as possible from the get-go—which means we can help you much faster!!
