First of all thank you for continuing to report bugs and giving us feedback and suggestions. You really help to make that new typing adventure exciting! Talking about bugs, today I thought that I really should do a top 5 of the most unbelievable/fascinating bugs found by players ːepiwinkː
Here are some new element of lore based on the concept art we showed you last week.
We also worked on some nice spots like a few oasis and camp. Below the concept art followed by a screenshot in the game.
THANK YOU
Recently we received a lot of tweets and positive reviews for both Epistory and Nanotale, so we wanted to thank you! Positive reviews really help to get noticed on Steam. ːepiloveː
EMOTICONS
We are also currently working on the achievements, badges, steamcards etc... And we were wondering if you had ideas for the emoticons of the game. We wanted them to be different from what we had for Epistory. So, we'd like to avoid having just the fox with different emotions. It could be elements or creatures from the game. Any ideas?
This is what we has for Epistory ːepiangelː ːepicoolː ːepifearː ːepifoxː ːepihappyː ːepiloveː ːepipartyː ːepisweatː ːepiwinkː ːepiwtfː
Last week we worked on a very specific element from the desert which is the fulgurite. the fulgurite is not only decorative but is also used in game design. The fulgurite can be made by combining electricity and sand. I let you imagine how fun it will be to use it in the game.
That new concept art teases you a bit what we are working on this week. You'll see more in the next weekly update.
We also, continued to decorate the desert. Here with some cracks on the ground.
Here are some ideas for the lore you'll collect in the desert. I hope you will like that new biome as much as the previous ones.
We need your help
Steam reviews are really important for indie games, so, it would be really awesome if you could take to time to help us by writing a review of Nanotale if you enjoyed the game so far. Thanks in advance.
Last week we were really busy focusing on Bit Summit Gaiden, which was really great: the best online event so far. I can't wait to attend the physical edition next year.
During BitSummit Gaiden you can try games for free but also talk to the devs using Discord. They did their best to keep it as friendly as the IRL version, so don't be shy and come to say hi.
Just a quick update to keep you informed about the development of Nanotale.
In the desert you will find small camps with tents where you will find people to talk to. Here's one of them from the concept art to the 3D almost final version.
And then we reworked the texture of the sand a little bit. What do you think?
I hope I havn't been too long to post that new update about the game. We just finished the last battle of the Sunken Caves, that should be available in a couple of day. We are currently testing it to make sure that everything works fine.
In parallel, we are also working on the next and final biome of the game. I have to warm you that you will see less and less content of that final biome because we really don't want to spoil you too much. But, here's a little something.
Join us during online events!
As you know, all game events has been cancelled due to Covid-19, but our team is joining as many online events as we can to continue to reach players all around the world. Don't hésitate to join them to discover more incredible indie games.
The Escapist Showcase - June 10-14
Bit Summit Gaiden - June 27-28
Bit Summit Gaiden also have a Discord channel to join if you want to talk to the developers. It will also be possible to try all the games online.
Thanks to all of you who have already played the sunken caves, we hope you are enjoying it!
We are grateful to those who reached out on steam, discord, and github to send us detailed reports of things that were a bit buggy in the game. We prioritized the most annoying and urgent ones and just released a patch on Steam. Your game should update automatically.
