  This is a balancing effort, it will need some testing to check if it's consistent with gameplay and might change again in future updates depending on feedback.

0.0.24 update, nicknamed "No ordinary family" will feature the full story arc with Claudia, the doctor's relative and fan-favourite character, as I already stated in earlier.

After deciding what to do with your relationship, players will be asked to face a number of events involving her and her family as well, each with three different paths to take and all leading to the romance climax at the end of the game.

You can either:

• Openly date her
  
• Engage in a normal family relationship with her
  
• Displease her and cut your bond with her

Depending on this first choice you will play different situations. You might be able to ask her to move with you if she hasn't already, you can choose to hire her in your clinic or even do anything you can to make her life miserable by doing exactly the opposite of what she asks you in those situations.



In the following days you will be introduced to all playable events with some screenshots as well to whet your appetite. Those events will play after the "Christmas' eve's dinner" and will play on January, February, March and April, when the games will finally end (I'm talking about in-game time of course).

"No Ordinary Family" update will feature:

• Dozens of new "Interactions" with Claudia, whether she's living with the Doctor or not
  
• New sex scenes with Claudia
  
• Jealousy of Claudia against Rita, Christina, Vanessa and Aaron

It's been a while since I posted news about the game's development (well, not so much but I'm usually faster in releasing news), and that's because I underwent a big deal to deliver as much updates in-game as possible.

While work on 0.0.23 is undergoing as planned, we're also working to contents for 0.0.24 ("No Ordinary Family") as well, and those of you who read the roadmap to the final release will already know this means... "Claudia content!"

0.0.24 will feature a full romance playthrough with her, from the start of your relationship until its ending(s), based on your choices along the way. This also means that the game will end on April 30th, which is the last in-game day for the full release coming up on December. Of course activities from January to April will only be based on Claudia right now, but with each upcoming update this will change and all the other characters will be included as well!



Many gameplay features will be revealed in the upcoming weeks, but today I can introduce you to three different mechanics: jealousy, poligamy and household activities!

Jealousy is conceptually linked to poligamy: many players asked to be able to date more than one character at once. That will be possible, even though for gameplay reasons you will be able to live with one person at a time, while also dating others though.

Each character will then have a chance to "catch you red-handed" and behave accordingly. For example, if you are dating Rita and bring Christina to a date to the Icecream shop Rita's working in... well, you are not very smart!

However, even walking on the beach might trigger a random encounter with your (other) significant one, possibly leading to an argument thereafter.
Each character will react to this in his/her own different way. Erika might be understanding of you having a coffee with your relative, while Vanessa might understand your bond with Erika (after all you're working together), but Claudia might not like Rita at all and argue with you about her.



It's up to you to explore the different combinations, while also keeping an eye about your relationship with your significant other. If relationships falls too much you might be dumped and find yourself masturbating alone in your bed in no time!



Yes, because among other "household activities" you'll also be able to masturbate to get sexperience and more! The old "Relax" button will be replaced with a "Stay at home" button which will open up a new series of activities to perform at home:

• Relax to regain energy
  
• Play a musical instrument to increase your charm
  
• Spend some time with your romance (if living together)
  
• Study Medicine to increase knowledge
  
• Masturbate
  
• Have a shower
  
• Watch TV
  
• Watch a porn movie (choosing the genre from six different ones to meet your romance's taste which you have to guess)
  
• Play a videogame

These activities will be performed either alone or with your roommate, depending on the activity itself and your relationship level with them.



Some players argued that having a shower takes a whole morning/afternoon/evening which is not realistic. This is a gameplay choice since the main option is "Stay at home" while the chosen activity is but a slice of what you did while staying at home. Since General Practitioner has 365 days of gameplay, thus about 1090 different daily choices throughout the game, having the player micromanage his time at home would have meant a big "grind-fest" we're not going to deliver, so that's why you can only choose one activity at a time.

• Fixed a very rare issue with Rita's path, causing the romance to stop progressing if you played Elisa's chapter before Rita's while Rita was already your girlfriend but before her "Spa" date took place. Savegames affected by the issue are automatically fixed, you can call Rita by phone to progress her romance path (provided all other prerequisites are met)
  
• Fixed Robyn's Codex entry to show her correct ID (7905440929)
  
• Mark's exam is now accessible from the Exam Mode and by choosing his ID on the computer
  
• Exam room's computer will now check if you hired the prerequisite Doctor to perform examinations where that staff member is needed
  
• A lot of consistency / grammar fixes throughout the game
  
• Erika won't take days off anymore. She simply doesn't want to be anywhere but at the clinic.
  
• Selma's examination of legs is now correctly featured as "Not Available" and won't subtract points when not performed
  
• An alarmingly high number of statements had the "'" symbol replaced by three question marks (???). This was caused by a faulty string-replacement software we used recently, which wasn't able to recognize UTF-8 coding. That's been fixed now. Sorry for any discomfort this might have caused.

• Fanny's and Chloe's examination are again available in Exam Mode
  
• Random Child Patient #5 has been redesigned from scratch and now doesn't suffer from irsutism anymore
  
• Random patient's parent won't be always male anymore. There's now a 50/50 chance to choose the parent's gender.
  
• The stats screen now shows monthly Clinic's Equipment Bills just below monthly wages
  
• Claudia's wage has been reintroduced in the game. Beware that she takes $15000 each month. While you cannot fire her and she won't quit her job, your relationship with her might suffer if you're not able to pay her wage.
  
• Claudia's work is now accounted for every day if you hired her. You cannot fire her and she won't quit the job after you chose to accept her in the clinic after meeting Bob in the story.
  Claudia's stats are as follows:
  - Energy = 7
  - Medical Knowledge = 6
  - Skill = 6
  - Attitude = 7
  - Experience = 6
  - Loyalty = 8 (she won't quit the job regardless of monthly payment)
  
• Added a "Next page" icon to the Medical Personnel's roster screen
  
• Added Claudia's infos on the Medical Personnel's roster
