Hello! Cat Warfare is still in active development, despite it looking dead on Steam, our Discord is quite active with new development updates and news.
Well What is new?!
The game has been built from the ground up... Again, but with that in mind, the net code and other aspects of Cat Warfare have improved drastically.
The net-code will be using Fish-Net and Steam relays, in layman's terms... No port forwarding, no CCU limit and you can technically have 32 players in one match, though this is not needed.
Most of the changes...
New Cat model.
New net-code.
Weapons rework.
Weapon impact decals.
128 tick-rate servers.
New movement mechanics.
Key-Binds.
New audio engine [FMOD]
DLC Changes
And much more to come in the future.
When Can We Have it?
All of this will be available for open testing sometime this year, if everything goes according to plan. Now this does mean it will be an open development, things will change and some things won't work at launch.

Weapon decals now get placed all over the map when firing the weapon and hitting something.
Hello! Gonna keep this short, Cat Warfare has been in the works and is due for an update. There is planned to be an open development build sometime in 2023 and will be announced to everyone here and in our Discord.
Q: Will Cat Warfare ever have bots? A: Cat Warfare does not include bots at this time, The Not-So Classic Games team is quite small with only one being the programmer.
Q: Can we change our controls? A: Currently, no. This might be looked at in the future.
Q: Why does no one play Cat Warfare? A: Short answer: The game is not well known by a lot of people. Long answer: Since not many people know about the game and there is no "offline" mode with bots the game tends to drop off players. This can be helped by sharing the game and joining the Discord.
Q: Is this game still in development and or get updates? A: Yes this game still gets updates from time to time, just not as often as we are working on other projects.
Q: This is just an arena shooter with cats? A: Yes, granted I know most people hate the idea of weapons being used against cats, but you can't satisfy them all. ( They don't really die, they just respawn :P )
Q: Why did Cat Warfare go Free-To-Play? A: This was done to allow more players to jump in and play the game. Users that owned the game before the change should have got the Upgrade DLC for free.
Q: Is the multiplayer cross platform? A: Yes. Pc, Mac and Linux can all play together, worldwide!
Cat Warfare v0.14.x.x will change the future of Cat Warfare. Changes will take effect after v0.14.x.x has been released.
Cat Warfare will change to a free-to-play model with a paid DLC to update to the full game. Users who have paid for the game already will receive the DLC upon this change.
Why the change to a free-to-play model?
Cat Warfare has always had good reviews and even has an amazing community. With that being said, it is time to expand the player base and let other experience Cat Warfare with no additional cost* [expand type=details]*Free to Full DLC upgrade will unlock cool features and more, but will not restrict the user from playing the game with others[/expand]
