Hello Everyone, I apologize for the delayed update. I recently took a week off and used that time to identify and address issues that arose after migrating the project to UE5.3. During this process, I discovered a problem with the landscape shader that I haven't resolved yet. The issue occurs when you set Global Illumination Quality to medium or low; the Zone0 landscape shader becomes invisible (though the mesh is still present, the shader isn't visible). i will provide a fix in the next patch.
For a workaround, you can follow these settings:
Global Illumination Quality: High
Anti-Aliasing Method: TSR
Feel free to adjust the Resolution Scale as needed (With TSR, you can reduce the resolution scale to approximately 60~70 without significant loss in visual quality).
And for the new playable zone, mutants, and new buildings, these will be implemented in #4 Patch. Subsequently, #5 Patch will primarily focus on bug fixes and performance.

Added: A new Buff System. You can now view active buffs through the icon located in the bottom left corner. The first addition to this system is the 'Endurance Infusion' buff, which is obtained by consuming an Energy drink.
Vehicle Tuning Rework: To customize your vehicle, visit the survival camp near Kimiko Camp. In the garage, you will find two Placeholder NPCs: the Part Vendor and the Vehicle Upgrade Mechanic.
Before upgrading or tuning your car, you must first unlock vehicle parts from the Part Vendor. Additionally, you can enhance your trailer by towing it to your car before parking in the designated yellow marker area.
Other tuning parts will be implemented in the future, which will include a turret system refactor.

Add Capture Mission (Experiment) : When you arrive at the small bandit camp, a flag will appear. The mission is to eliminate all bandits in this camp. Completing the mission by raising the flag will prevent bandits from spawning in this camp.
** Please note that this action will not be saved; the mission will reset when you load the game.
Add horde spawn system button in dev UI. (You can try it. while in rainy or mist event. Theye will spawn on the road between bandit camp and whitehouse) **Please remember, this is a test system. It is recommended to save before testing.

For this version, it's still pretty rough, and there's not much polish yet. There are still many unfinished areas. Additionally, the NPC doesn't fully utilize all functions yet, such as the infected and Bandit's sound sensing function. (For now, the flamethrower only affects infected, fuel tanks, and propane tanks)

I've added a function in the Debug UI that allows you to spawn a car or trailer and teleport between Z0 and Z1. If you need to gather some resources in Z1, you can use the teleport option to farm them quickly. However, please note that Z1 still uses the old system, and some of the new systems will not be accessible in that zone.
To activate the debug UI, press the '+' button three times quickly. To deactivate it, press the 'i' key twice.
There may be some FPS drops in certain areas, which probably related to item spawns in the jungle. I will address and fix this issue, and the update will be available within a week.
"For recommended in-game FPS, if you require features like 'Lumen' or 'GI,' i recommend selecting the Anti-Alias method 'TSR' and adjusting the resolution scale (around 60-70 should work fine).
To further boost FPS, you can disable 'Lumen'/'GI' by setting them to 'Low'."
** In the current version, you may experience gun animation jitter or shaking due to a limitation with world rebasing. However, I have found a workaround for this issue, and it will be fixed in the next patch ** After fixing some things, I will compile a list of features to be tested in the next patch.
The 0.6.0 TestBranch is scheduled to go live on July 30th (Which is call a.0.6.0). And I think it takes at least another two months to prepare before updating the default branch.
*** In the first version of the TestBranch, there are still two zones pending inclusion: Zone 9 and Zone 11. They will be added later.

Log, Large Item Carrying System
Large items can no longer be stored in the inventory. To craft certain items using large items, you can either directly craft from them or destroy them to spawn new items, such as firewood from logs.
About Gas Mechanics there will be new item called the Propane Bottle. The Propane Bottle serves as a means to collect gas from various sources, including gas canisters and other gas-emitting entities such as The Bloat (an alpha mutant in the game). When you defeat The Bloat, it releases green gas, and you can extract the gas generator gland from it. By placing this gland into a DIY gas cylinder, you can utilize the Propane Bottle to split the gas for various purposes."
In the game, you will find a variety of portable items that can be stored in your inventory. And you can take them out and interact with them as interactive objects.
In the beginner state, the Tank wields a powerful rocket launcher. To acquire this formidable weapon, you must defeat the Tank, and upon its defeat, the rocket launcher will be dropped as loot.
You can sometimes accept missions from the survivor camp. They may ask you to help build a building. or destroy something, kill some one and when you complete the mission, the environment in that area will change.

I have reworked the new object moving system. You will be able to move things into very narrow place, spaces. This new system will have 2 stages, you can switch between 'Carrying mode' and 'Placing mode (edit mode)' by press 'F'. Left Mouse Btn will also throw objects away. https://youtu.be/FVYvNKQJAtg?t=2
I decided to connect the old map to the current one. And new player will start the game at old map area (Call it Zone 0). Which the current map V.0.5.0 (Lets call it Zone 1) will be more difficult. You'll need to defeat 'Tank' before you can cross from Zone 0 to Zone 1.
The Old map will be re-visual, But every place or landmark will remain the same. (There will be additional new locations for Zone0 as well)
For the January task, I mostly focused on moving the project to Unreal Engine 5. From the first test, There are some legacy systems that don't work. Such as Car physic (which I intend to rework anyway).
And "World Partiton" (UE5 New feature) can greatly reduce stutter during level streaming. But there are still many parts that need to be optimized.

This version will be the last version that will use UE4. The next main patch will be 0.6.0 which will be changed to UE5. (There are still bug fixes/ hotfixes in 0.5.x) All new content that hasn't been added yet, will be added in this version.
