The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Added new tab on main settings page - "fpsVR.net" This feature is under development. By enabling the option there(disabled by default) you will help me (developer) to bring more stats to you, the fpsVR users and to all VR enthusiast, which will allow you to compare performance in VR games and apps with different resolution settings, different GPUs, CPUs, GPU drivers, and VR headsets. A little more detailed description inside the page in the settings. If you have any questions ask them in the comments below.
"Advanced" settings tab: Added option to show "HOTSPOT" temperature (Junction Temp.) for modern AMD GPU instead of "EDGE" temperature.
History Viewer: Added display of activity (time when standby mode was not active) of the headset during a gaming session, in percent.
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Fixed: the screen brightness value was not applied (the setting only works for Index) when manually switching from Application profile to the Global profile while the VR game/application was running.
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Added temperature monitoring for AMD Zen 3 processors (If after this update the CPU temperature readings did not appear, reinstall fpsVR or just verify integrity of app files)
Added the ability to change the brightness (only if there is support in SteamVR for the used headset, so far only for the Valve Index)
Added the ability to apply color and brightness profiles. You can choose which profile will be used while the VR game/application is running - either a global one, or a profile configured by you specifically for this VR game/application. See the Advanced tab in the settings. (for Vive/VivePro/Index)
fpsVR adds a "+" symbol to the battery charge to indicate that controllers / trackers are charging.
Added "Show Low Battery Warnings for Controllers and Trackers" option on the tab "Advanced". (Warning message if battery charge is less 25%, red border of the overlay if battery charge is less 15%)
fpsVR history viewer: Added display of battery status for controllers, trackers. You can use this to find out how much battery power was in your last sessions so as not to launch SteamVR and not turn on the controllers (this will only work for new VR sessions)
fpsVR history viewer: Added reprojection and frame drop ratios to VR session stat.
"Show Vive Wireless Adapter Temperature" moved to "Advanced" tab in the settings
The polling rate has been increased for the cable tangle tracking feature.
Fixed a bug in the feature of re-centering the play area ("Recenter" button)
Fixed a rare bug where temperatures are not displayed for supported processors under certain conditions.
Added the fix_perf_counters.exe file (to the root folder of the app) that can be used to restore the operating system performance counters (to restore the CPU usage counters if it is faulty).
Steam may ask you for elevated rights to complete the installation of this update, when you launch fpsVR first time after this update (In order to update the processor temperature polling service)
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Update to OpenVR SDK 1.12.5 (was 1.11.11)
The "Desktop Utilities" overlay coordinates are now calculated by using the position of the headset at the moment the dashboard is opened (and not by position of the Valve desktop overlay). This should solve some issues, both existing and possible in the future (in case Valve makes any adjustments to its overlays).
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Added temperature display support for the main Intel processors from the Comet Lake family (i3/i5/i7/i9 10XXX/K/KF) as well as processors from other families. After this update, when fpsVR is launched for the first time, Steam may require elevated rights to complete the update, to replace files of the CPU temperature polling service.
Added button "Detect Resolution" on the tab "Basic". Which leads to a page where a detected real resolution is displayed (In the process of determining the current resolution, a lag may be observed, this is normal, unfortunately, no other way to get the current rendering resolution without lag)
Improved logic for detecting changes in batteries status of controllers and their roles.
Added experimental feature: Vive Wireless Adapter temperature (see option on tab "Overlays" in the settings)
Added Create_fpsVR_Report.exe for troubleshooting purposes, collects all the necessary logs into the fpsVR_Report.zip archive
An attempt to fix "System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException" error. Which sometimes happens to some users (an error report is generated without interrupting the application)
Added the "Recenter" button on the "Play Space" tab, which allows you to shift the center (attention: the boundaries for WMR / Oculus and others not native boundary systems to SteamVR will not be shifted).
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
Fixed a bug where cable tracking feature might not work correctly while VR headset is not used and is in a static position.
Fixed incorrect fpsVR behavior when changing running VR applications quickly, as a result of which the display name of the VR application did not change.
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
A minor issue has been fixed, which under certain conditions may lead to skipping the first overlay rendering cycle (with the generation of an error report).
Fixed: fpsVR window on the desktop did not open when double-clicking on the fpsVR icon in the Windows tray.
The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
An attempt to fix the "random" NullReferenceException and ExternalException exceptions that sometimes appear for some users (exceptions did not terminate the application, only error reports were generated).
Logging to CSV-files: feedback based corrections - the volume of the "gong" sound is reduced, the local time is removed.
The option for Desktop Utilities has been renamed (see tab "Overlays") and disabled by default for new users.
