Siege Battles offer a perfect blend of both matchmaking and Territory Wars, and their experience and immersion are what have enabled us to accomplish as much as we have with Conqueror’s Blade. We've received plenty of feedback and used this to improve current maps, release new ones, and design new events and modes to keep the experience fresh.
Siege Battles have been with us for years and have stood the test of time, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still work to do. Thanks to your feedback, we know that we must make more fundamental changes to help Siege Battles remain fun in the long run, and truly tap into more of the potential the mode holds.
The Core of Siege Battles
A staple of Siege has always been that you choose your units before the battle begins. You might make an informed choice based on what map you're playing, and whether you're playing as the attacker or defender. Once made, you cannot change your choice for this match.
This integral ruleset has created a few unique setups.
Unit Setup & Strategic Stagnation
Being unable to tell which Units the enemy will be bringing to the fray means most players rely on past experience and tend to favour meta Units that are expected to perform well. Over time, this has led to stagnation in terms of Unit and strategy variety. One player may even play dozens of matches with the exact same setup, which detracts from the fun over the long run.
High Teamwork Requirements
As each player can only bring a limited number of Units, the 10–15 players of each team must quickly begin to cooperate in terms of Unit selection and strategy. How else will they ensure to have the Units required to counter the enemy's forces and win?
Little In-Match Strategising
As your Unit options are limited to what you chose before the match, it's difficult to adjust your strategy based on the situation. This has made battles inflexible and lacking in intensity. Most players go for the 'best' Unit setup ahead of time, something which largely decides the outcome of a match before the battle has already begun. Perhaps you’ve experienced the enemy suddenly charging a point of interest with a squadron of heavy cavalry in a match where you didn't bring any polearm Units to counter them. Things like that immediately put you and your team at a huge disadvantage.
How Can We Improve Variety?
For these experimental changes, we've decided to start by looking at our rules for Units. We want players to be freer in terms of Unit choices for more varied setups.
Owing to this, we've decided to launch a brand-new Siege mode: Escalation.
Escalation (Siege)
In Escalation, you can replace your Units at any time throughout a match! Within this new ruleset, the strategic choice of which Units to use will be an integral part of the battle itself. This will give you more means with which to counter your foe on the fly for more intense battles.
Escalation Unit Ruleset
You only need to choose one Unit to start with in the Pre-Deployment menu.
Whenever you draft Units in battle, you can choose among all of your unlocked Units.
Leadership
Each Unit you draft costs Leadership.
Drafting Units you've previously used in that match doesn't require any Leadership. (Note: you'll draft the number of troops left alive in the Unit and enough troops must remain within a Unit for you to draft them again.)
Leadership isn't affected by seasonal restrictions.
Escalation's First Map Pool
Harbour City, Kurak Castle, Sun City, White Elk Fort, Heilung Fjord, and Reginopolis.
The Future
Escalation is only our first step toward greater heights. We'll continue to improve and innovate the rules for Siege Battles and hopefully changes like this one will fundamentally alter how such battles are played and will lead to more fun for everyone. We'll still continue to work on the staple Siege Battle mode too!
We want Conqueror's Blade to provide new and fun gameplay experiences. Your feedback is incredibly important for us in our quest to improve the game further. Your ideas might well be what helps us set the course for where to take the game next. Share your thoughts with us via Discord!

In an effort to make Territory Wars more dynamic and competitive in future Seasons and to improve your trading experience within the Auction House, we will be merging North American servers on Tuesday, February 14 during a period of scheduled maintenance (times TBC).
Cloudwing Valley (NA2) will be merged into Eagle Range (NA3).
This means that if you have any characters on Cloudwing Valley (NA2), you will find them on Eagle Range (NA3) when it reopens on February 14.
In anticipation of any questions you may have about the transferral process, we prepared a handy FAQ for you (scroll down to read it). If you have any additional queries or concerns, the Conqueror’s Blade Community Team will be happy to address them over on Discord.
What is a server migration?
This is a process where MY.GAMES and Booming Games will transfer all characters from one server to another. During this migration, characters and data from Cloudwing Valley (NA2) will be transferred to Eagle Range (NA3).
What steps should players take in preparation for the migration?
None, we will handle everything for you! The server will go down for maintenance on February 14, after which Cloudwing Valley (NA2) will be removed from the list of available servers, and all the characters from that server will be available on Eagle Range (NA3). We will announce maintenance times closer to server migration.
Will I keep all my characters from their original server(s)?
Yes, none of your characters will be affected by this migration, and all characters from the server will appear in the same character list.
What will happen to my characters’ data?
Data bound to characters will remain unchanged. This includes, but is not limited to: Attributes, Skills, Attire, Units, Inventory, Supply Dump, Personal Storage, and Premium Account.
What will happen to my camp?
If your camp is situated in a Safe Zone or Trade Colonies, it will remain unchanged. If your camp is situated in other fiefs throughout the four regions, you will be moved to that region's Safe Zone and will receive a Cross-region Migration Token in your in-game mail.
What will happen to the Market?
The ability to list items on the Market will be disabled on February 13 at 09:00 CET across all NA servers. All items, materials, and currency transactions will be combined. The status of materials will not change during this time, including their physical location. If expired materials are de-listed, a storage list will be generated where materials will be listed for players to claim once the migration is complete.
Will my Friends List and Block List be transferred to the new server?
Yes.
Will my House, House level, and House join requests be transferred?
Yes, your House will be transferred and its membership will remain unchanged. House levels will not be reset, and House join requests will remain unchanged.
Will Alliances be transferred?
Yes, Alliance diplomacy will not be reset, and Alliance join requests will remain unchanged.
Will territory ownership be transferred?
The ownership of occupied fiefs will be reset, as is usual during the off-season period. Fief levels will be calculated according to their level on Cloudwing Valley (NA2).
How long do I have to claim my rewards for the Scorpio Campaign?
You will have from February 9 until maintenance for the server migration begins on February 14 to claim your rewards for this season's Campaign. You can do this via the Campaign window.
Will rankings in Ranked Matchmaking and other Leaderboards be reset?
House and Alliance Leaderboards will be reset. All other rankings and leaderboards will be recalculated based on the data of all players once the migration is complete.
What will happen if two characters have the same name?
If two characters have the same name, the one with the lowest level will have their name changed. If they are of the same level, the character that was created last will have its name changed. A “-1 “ suffix will be added to any changed character names, and these players will receive a New Identity Document via their in-game mail to change their character name.
What will happen if two Houses have the same name?
If two Houses have the same name, the one that was created last will have its name changed. A 1 or 2-digit suffix will be added to the name, and the House Liege will receive a House Renewal Charter via their in-game mail to change their House name.
What will happen if two Alliances have the same name?
If two Alliances have the same name, the one that was created last will have its name changed. A 1 or 2-digit suffix will be added to the name, and Alliance Rulers will be informed via their in-game mail. It is not possible to change Alliance names.
What will happen to the Imperial Restorationists Legions and Cohorts?
Legions will be closed, all players will be kicked, and Legion rankings will be reset. Players will be able to join the Legions again if they desire once the migration is complete.
What will happen to my mail, will it be deleted after migration?
No, your mail and any attachments will be unaffected. You can access them on the Eagle Range (NA3) server.
Please be aware that from 07:00 CET on January 26 (22:00 PST on January 25), the Conqueror’s Blade servers will be inaccessible. The downtime is expected to last for 4 hours.
