NemesisTurk is the current leader of GOKTURK, a member of the RiseOfWolves alliance and one of the largest Turkish houses in the game. With a membership of 90 warlords that includes German and English-speaking members, the house is currently established in the northeast of Ostaria
How did you first find out about Conqueror’s Blade and what attracted you to the game?
I love war games and so it was not difficult to find. I searched for war games on Steam and then found Conquerors Blade.
How did you come to lead GOKTURK?
In the beginning, i was a diplomat at GOKTURK. Our former leader then decided to quit the game and the house members asked me to take the lead.
And I really enjoy doing it. I’m aware that I’m leading a big house here, but it works very well with my management team.
What makes GOKTURK different from other houses?
We welcome all players and support them their development. The most important thing is we’re against insulting behaviour and that makes us appreciated by our members. We have well-considered diplomatic relationships and always keep our promises. GOKTURK was founded by a team that had been active in other games for a long time.
What does the house hope to achieve - what will be its legacy in years to come?
As players, we definitely want to keep ourselves at a high level. And as GOKTURK, our goals are always to attain all that can be achieved. In Season III our goal is the Conqueror’s City and a to hold a stable number of fiefs.
What’s your favourite class to play and why?
Glaive. But, of course, that can change over time.
What activities does the house regularly engage in and enjoy?
We take part in all activities. Territory Wars are the main goals for our house. There are always a couple of Matchmaking teams and an internal duel tournament for our members.
Who are your most trusted warlords and what roles do they command within the organization?
I trust all the warlords on the team. There are different roles. One officer has an overview of the house with me and others lead the groups.
If someone wanted to join your house or start a dialogue towards trade or establishing a pact, what should they do?
The best way is via our Discord. They can also reach me through our in-game members. Our names are also written in the house description.
Are there other houses that you admire or that you consider to be natural allies?
Since what were difficult times in pre-season the alliances RiseOfWolveS (GondoR, HUNgarianBlood) and DeutschesBanner (Lannister, Lannishort, PCUP) have always been on our side and we have a high level of trust in them. In addition, since the end of Season II, DacianLegacy and FalcataPrime have joined under the alliance RiseOfWolves. And the alliance Lechistan is also good friend. And, of course, everyone who fights for the Conquerors City for a long time deserves our respect.
Conversely, are there any houses that you'd consider mortal enemies?
There is always one and that's a good thing because we always need wars. Enemies can always change.
Finally, a message to our enemies: GOKTURK and RiseOfWolves never give up.
Many thanks to NemesisTurk for answering our questions. If you know of a house that is deserving of similar recognition that we should profile in the future article, please make your nomination via our Discord channel.
Soon battle will be joined by the finest units of the Anadolou Empire, an enlightened realm that guards the gateway between two feuding hemispheres. When its soldiers aren’t fighting, they are in training, and for every trading caravan that leaves with exotic textiles and spices, another returns with the knowledge to forge units that forever characterise Anadolou’s veiled traditions and ambitions.
While each of the new units coming to Conqueror’s Blade in the Blood of the Empire update fulfils very different roles, they share many characteristics: They are loyal and steadfast, heavily-armoured, well-equipped and can each be unlocked via Season IV’s Unit Challenges - which we’ll be detailing in a future article!
Janissaries (3-star unit)
Centuries ago, the Janissaries were a regiment of conscripted slave warriors, but as the Anadolou Empire has prospered and reformed, they are now an elite professional corps and a power bloc within the empire. Being well aware of their value to the empire, the Janissaries have secured for themselves rich rewards for their service and have occasionally overthrown one ruler to install a rival more sympathetic to their demands. Each soldier is armed with a large-calibre musket requiring a wooden rest to support it before firing.
Traits:
Able to increase ranged attack accuracy thanks to the use of a resting fork, which in turn reduces the unit’s ability to move and turn.
Janissary musketeers can utilise a large lead bullet to stun opponents.
Azaps (4-star unit)
Azaps are the melee infantry of the Anadolou Empire, armed with a kilij-type sword and a small buckler. Once they were merely short-term feudal levies, now the Azaps are a standing force seen throughout Anadolou operating as town and border guards. They have a respectful if rather intense professional rivalry with the janissaries, although in battle the two work together well, usually with the azaps blocking enemy charges for their comrades to then fire upon.
Traits:
Azaps are able to maintain continuous attacks and a counterattacking posture.
When under pressure, units can deliver a devastating charge attack that gives them space to regroup.
Sipahis (4.5-star unit)
Sipahis are heavy cavalry, armed with steel maces and clad in plate armour. Every soldier of this corps is fighting to be rewarded a minor fief (known as a timar) for his service in battle. Unlike other empires, this fief is never inherited ( so as to prevent the formation of a landed aristocracy) and thus the competition among the sipahi is intense and reflected in their high motivation and combat. Sipahis are effective against heavy infantry formations, or for driving lighter opponents into range of friendly janissaries.
Traits:
The sheer weight and momentum of a planned Sipahis charge is a sight to behold.
Deliver a breakthrough attack and send the opposing forces flying.
Silahdars (5-star unit)
These halberdiers take their name from the office of the sultan’s first servant, a role which eventually expanded to include guarding the royal personage himself. As the Sultan’s armies have expanded, so too has the numerical strength of the Silahdars to the point where they now form the main heavy infantry corps. Silahdars swear an oath to preserve the life of their commander and will accompany them into the fiercest fight without a moment’s hesitation.
Traits:
Spread out your troops to extend the reach of their attacks, maximising damage to the opposing unit.
Call out to your Silahdars and they will fight harder to defend your hero’s position.
As noblemen, nomads and sellswords fight tooth and nail for dominion of this coveted land, a new shadow is cast. Prepare to do battle with the ascendant Anadolou Empire when their armies are unleashed in Season IV: Blood of the Empire, launching as a free update on July 21!
This season is packed with suitably epic content, including two new maps (for Field and Siege Battles), four unlockable units, exclusive attire and items from the Battle Pass, ornate weapons from the Anadolou Empire’s armouries, and new deployable items to help level or block the battlefield.
Ready to up the ante in Season IV’s Territory Wars? Warlords will be able to create their own large-scale structures in the open world, adding a rich tactical layer to this twice-weekly event. We’re also introducing a new type of reward to the Season IV Battle Pass in the form of Emotes! These fun animations offer creative ways to express yourself in victory, defeat, and everything in between.
Having previously looked at changes to the Conqueror’s City map and the updated rules that govern its capture, it’s time to finish up with a breakdown of how the rewards system is evolving and what the rewards for Season III’s Campaign combatants will be:

Rewards for Conqueror’s City:

Be aware that In order to secure the Hegemon title and crown, a house/alliance must have at least 25,000 Influence, including control of the Conqueror’s City (worth 20,000 Influence).
The Alliance Members will receive:
Conqueror's City: Level 1 - 15
Treatise x5
Random Epic Artillery Chest x10
Box of Rare Artillery x20
In addition to the above, the alliance members will also receive a permanent title. This will be distributed at a later date.
Crowns:
All houses that take part in Territory War will receive crowns. These crowns will be distributed to players based on their Nobility Title within their house. The crowns are temporary and will last until the Season IV Conqueror’s City stage.
Players should make sure that they have assigned the Nobility Titles correctly to members within their House before the final Season III Territory War on July 7th. Thereafter they should remain unchanged until all Seasonal rewards are distributed.

Xixteur is the sixth and current leader of Saint Empire, a long-standing French house that recently celebrated its first year of existence. As well as a success in its own right, the house is at the heart of the Francs Alliance, in service to which Xixteur long ago hung up his poleaxe in order to more effectively lead the alliance and its houses forward.
How did you come to lead Saint Empire?
I didn't create Saint Empire, I inherited it. I was familiar with managing teams and although I was happy to remain a simple player, far from the responsibilities and obligations that come with leadership, I became attached to the house and its members. I invested my time in it and worked my way up the ranks to become what I am today.
How would you describe yourself as a leader?
I simply try my best for my players. I don't play to be liked, respected by my peers, known by all the server or to get my name on top of some scoreboard. I play to evolve my house and our alliance; to help them grow without losing sight of what made us.
I’m planning to do my best as "Holy Emperor" and when I’ve done all I can I’ll pass on the crown, like all my predecessors have before me, to someone else who’s worthy of it. That person will need to make further progress. The mission of every "Holy Emperor" is to prevent the house from standing still; that's why we resign as soon as we realise that we can’t move it forward. Like our motto says: Audaces Fortuna Juvat (Fortune favours the bold)!
What do you think makes Saint Empire different?
Without hesitation it is our community, which was established when EUW2 started. We still have players that joined in the first hours and now also our brothers in arms from "l'OrdreDuTemplier" and "La Gaule”. Right now Saint Empire and Francs are like one body and mind - one that consists of 450 players; old, new, casual players, veterans, active players and also retirees that meet and play together in Conqueror's Blade, or just simply talk and want to have a good time.
It's because of our community cohesion and our management that we can keep a family feel in our house without imposing any obligations on our players. So we can still have a foot in the competitive side of the game - we’ve been a top 10 alliance since the start of Season II.
What will be its legacy be in the years to come?
Like the "Francs" Alliance, we want to federate the French community so that everybody can meet and play together in a good atmosphere without all the trash talk in the Global Chat.
To be first on the leaderboard is not our main goal. We are obviously happy when that happens, but that's not what we aim for. This is only a game for us and not a competition. Being the first while not taking any pleasure from playing is not our way of thinking.
What activities does the House engage in?
First thing is to help and train new players, using facultative training with diverse subjects and goal organised by our veterans. We also have fun with "convoy raids", where veteran players organise a convoy filled with resources and valuables for new players, so they can train themselves by attacking the convoy to receive some rewards at the end.
We also organise other events (not just for the alliance), such as “Qouïdby” and a 2v2 Tournament that we invite players to enter. It's going to be something big that’s organised by the community - a first for Conqueror's Blade.
Who are your most trusted warlords and what roles do they have?
My three counsellors are Huntertuer, ZhAoYuN and SinYi. They invest a lot of their time in the community but they aren't alone in their efforts. All our officers are working without respite so that Saint Empire and the Francs Alliance thrive and progress.
I would like to stress that my predecessor Bersekito was an extraordinary Liege who still plays with us to this day. It was under his reign that the Alliance with "l'OrdreduTemplier" and "La Gaule" was forged and he remains a key member of the house. It's an honour to be able to continue his good work.
If someone wanted to join Saint Empire what should they do?
You can simply come on the Francs discord, or feel free to contact us in-game. All players are considered and new recruits will be helped to learn the mechanics of the game.
Are there other houses that you admire or consider as natural allies?
"L'OrdreDuTemplier" and "la Gaule" with which we have built and placed the "Francs" at the top during months of close friendship. We have been working with them since last September and they really are awesome people to work with. We are strong and united and despite some hard knocks in the past (and the ones to come - there'll be plenty I’m sure of it) no one will divide us and make us kneel. Strength and Honour are our foundation!
Conversely, are there any Houses that you consider deadly enemies?
All the houses that trash-talk in the main channel of discussion in-game and that act in an unsporting way. We don’t play the game to insult other players and we don't want to be a part of that kind of behaviour.
Many thanks to Xixteur for answering our questions. If you know of a house that is deserving of similar recognition that we should profile in the future article, please make your nomination via our Discord channel.
The Conqueror’s City is the ultimate prize for those hoping to be celebrated as Conqueror’s Blade legends. By being among those that control the city at the end of a season, you will be eligible to receive titles and other rewards, and can lay claim to being the best of the best!
Access to attack the city (and the gates that guard it) is limited depending on the stage of the current season’s Campaign and the status of the houses and alliance challenging for it. Influence and the number and location of fiefs under an alliance’s control are all factors that decide eligibility. The full “rules of engagement” are detailed below:
Players must belong to a house or alliance.
The Conqueror’s City and its gates can only be attacked during the fourth stage of a Campaign. You can check out the current Season III schedule here.
To challenge for the city or its gate, war must be declared against it.
Houses and alliances must have at least 6000 Influence and be in possession of at least one fief in the Borderlands region to be eligible to compete for a gate fief.
In addition, houses and alliances must first be in control of at least one of the Conqueror’s City surrounding gates in order to be able to subsequently challenge for the city itself.
The ruling house in a battle for the city will be decided on a first-come, first-serve basis and will then pass along to the next house in line after the battle.
Members of Cohorts and Legions (ranked Decanos / Patrol Leader and above) will be able to take part in battles for the Conqueror’s City and its gates, but only to defend them - not to attack.
Once war is declared on the Conqueror’s City, alliance membership is locked until the current Territory War is concluded.
Note that the rules and rewards for taking part and controlling the Conqueror’s City are subject to change between and during each Season. This article will be maintained to address changes and to provide further clarification where necessary.
Due to Independence Day falling on a weekend, we have decided to make Saturday’s July 4 Territory War a drill event. This will only apply to the NA server. Territory Wars across the European servers will progress as normal.
Since those fighting for the Conqueror’s City on the NA server will effectively be losing a day, we urge players to make suitable plans ahead of tomorrow’s event, given that it will be the penultimate Territory War before the final battle of the season on July 7.
Drill mode is essentially a consequence-free training mode, usually deployed when we are testing new features or when Territory Wars clashes directly with a major public holiday. On this occasion it’s the latter; as we expect a significant proportion of our US players will be enjoying a rare weekend with friends and family.
Whatever your plans for July 4, have fun and please stay safe!
You can read more about Drill Mode on the Conqueror’s Blade events page.
