Conqueror's Blade - Sapozhnik

The Sea Raiders have retreated from White Elk Fort and are poised to re-enter Fuecheng in the third and final special quest battle. You and your allies are as outnumbered as ever, soon to face the enemy’s most battle-hardened troops, but all is not yet lost: Reinforcements are on their way, and the city’s engineers are on hand to issue siege weapons to those that prove their worth!

HISTORY
Two weeks ago The Sea Raiders attacked the city of Fuecheng and almost succeeded in burning it to the ground before its forces beat a dawn retreat. Subsequently joining up with rebel units to assault White Elk Fort, many had assumed the follow-up attack on the fortress city to be the real target for the Raiders’ ambitions. However, it seems that local leaders have been outmanoeuvred once again as the Sea Raiders have returned to terrorise the streets of Fuecheng, this time with all their troops in play.

SCOUTING REPORT
While the city smoulders from the first attack, rearguard troops and equipment are this time close at hand (more due to luck than forethought). If the defenders can hold out until the proverbial cavalry arrives, the Sea Raiders and their allies will finally be driven back.
Once again you find yourself guarding the eastern entrance into the city; once more tasked with protecting the garrison and its commanders. Raiders and rebels have renewed their attacks from the main gates and from the south. However, with the city’s engineers able to reward your efforts with heavy arms and reinforcements inbound, the defenders might not have to hold out for long.

WAVE 1
The first attack will come from the direction of the bridge, with a handful of enemy units eager to engage your NPC ally, Commander Wang. You should move forward to protect him, as more enemy units will approach from the narrow walkways to the east side of the crossing. Beware: Towards the end of the first wave, heavily-shielded units with supporting archers will attack from the south and, if ignored, will endanger Commander Zhen and your archers.

WAVE 2
Enemy troops will again attack from the west, tempting you to engage them before they reach the bridge to give some advantage to more troops that will attack from the north. Try not to be drawn out from any advantageous defensive line as the enemy will be assaulting your position in significant numbers. At the end of the wave you will have to advance to assist some stricken villagers, but you won’t have to worry about any surprise attacks.

WAVE 3
Hopefully, by this point, you will have earned enough Siege Tokens to be able to assemble a line of artillery along the east wall - which you should fall back to - to help against an attack that will otherwise come from all directions. Enemy archers will also appear from the tops of one or two buildings, against which some heavy weapons will prove useful. When you eventually get the upper hand and before you’ve eliminated the last of the enemy wave, resupply your defensive line - ideally with pikes and spears.

WAVE 4
The penultimate enemy attack consists of cavalry charges, supported by waves of troops. The attack is fairly relentless and, should your defensive line fail, you can be sure that the garrison commanders, Wang and Zhen, will be swarmed by enemy troops. You can afford to lose one of them, but if they both fall the city will be lost. Don’t be afraid to prioritise your defence around Commander Zhen, who seems less prone to making reckless advances.

FINAL WAVE
Leading the final enemy charge are the Sea Raiders’ finest infantry units, as well as the remainder of its boss warlords. Thankfully, breaking through the east gate in the nick of time will come thundering a number of NPC reinforcements, which should give you the opportunity to take stock of the situation By this point in the battle, unless Commander Zhen is in dire health, the battle should be won and you will have defeated the Sea Raiders for the final time. The citizens of Fuecheng will forever be in your debt… until the next time.

Earlier this year we announced MY.GAMES, the new international gaming brand dedicated to developing, publishing, and supporting the games you love to play. We are now ready to move all My.com games over to their new home: the MY.GAMES Store! We will be rolling out our plans in several stages before we finally complete the transition to MY.GAMES and a new gaming platform on December 4th.

We have scheduled planned maintenance across all supported My.com games which will be moved to the new platform. All services for these games, including access to servers, online play, and purchases, will be unavailable between December 4th at 03:00 CET and December 4th at 11:00 CET (times and dates may be subject to change). Note that an estimated downtime of up to 48 hours will be required to transition between myLoot and the MY.GAMES Market, therefore myLoot will not be accessible from December 2nd at 22:00 CET.

IMPORTANT: The new gaming platform, the MY.GAMES Store, and related new services and functionalities are being introduced in an early beta state. We will be monitoring performance and player feedback in order to implement improvements in the coming weeks and months.

Upon completion of the maintenance, all users will have access to the platform’s new functionality through the MY.GAMES Store, including:

  • Support for friends and messaging
  • Gameplay streaming supportacross multiple popular streaming platforms
  • Sending gifts to other players
  • Achievements
  • A mobile application for the MY.GAMES Store
From December 4th after maintenance is completed, myLoot will become the MY.GAMES Market, your new one-stop shop to get awesome bundles and in-game content for MY.GAMES titles. Featuring a brand-new interface, this service will be accessible from a new URL: market.my.games (we recommend updating your bookmarks). Your myCoins balance and any items or chests left in your myLoot inventories will be safe in the MY.GAMES Market, and will be accessible here when the service launches.

As mentioned above, an estimated downtime of up to 48 hours will be required to transition between myLoot and the MY.GAMES Market. After this planned maintenance is completed, all services will be accessible from the MY.GAMES Market. If there are any purchases or item transfers you would like to carry out during this timeframe, please ensure that you do so before maintenance begins.

Through the MY.GAMES Store platform, we will also publish and host games from new partners, expanding the available portfolio of games to create a rich library of amazing experiences. We are currently accepting submissions from developers and publishers through our developer portal. Developers releasing their games through the MY.GAMES Store can enjoy additional features, including marketing support for their game projects, access to anti-cheat system integration, and the ability to stream on the project page.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all to MY.GAMES and our brand-new gaming platform. We hope you enjoy and take full advantage of all the new functionality and features!

Given how much of a focus Territory Wars and other events have become, it makes sense that we give everyone a say as to when they should be held. To that end we’ve created a short survey where you can suggest more convenient times for each event than those we have currently.

It’s important to note that the times listed in the survey are directly tied to your chosen server, not to what timezone you happen to reside. If you play on one of the Europe West servers that’s CET (UTC +1), while the North American server is locked to PST (UTC -8).

The survey will remain open until December 5th, after which we’ll tally the results and let you know what the new event times will be based on what the majority have selected.

If Frontier Camp seems familiar, that’s because it was where you conducted one of your very first sieges. Now the once-intimidating outpost stands before you as the first Seige map across which AI warlords can be conscripted to fight. Under the rules of this new encounter, the matchmaking system will always select waiting players, but if there aren’t enough - during off-peak hours - bots will be drafted in to ensure that neither army is lacking.

HISTORY
Built on the site of an ancient hillfort, Frontier Camp has expanded from being a few tents surrounded by palisades into a veritable fortress. Its defences have grown in direct proportion to how much the local forests have receded, as local woodsmen have been pressganged into felling trees to reinforce the battlements. Despite taking pride in their work, however, the unwilling locals have developed no loyalty towards their taskmasters and have built battering rams for attacking armies to use - often leaving one outside the main gate on the morning of a siege.

SCOUTING REPORT
Frontier Camp is situated atop a hill with commanding views across a busy valley, a perfect location from which to police hostile territory. The settlement itself is encircled by wooden battlements, with two gates allowing access to two control points which converge on a third. Despite the perimeter being protected by wooden staves, the outer wall is low and easily breached by ladders. Thankfully for the defenders, there are no siege towers to protect an assault and only a single ram with which to bring down the main gate.

PLAN OF ATTACK
  • Unless you’re a warlord with devastating ranged abilities, don’t bother with the towers that circle the camp: Ranged troops are not able to utilise them and you’ll be wasting your time trying to station troops at the top of them.
  • Time is short and you need to take a control point quickly, so while you are ordering your troops to break through the main gate, make sure you are assaulting the camp via siege ladders along as wide a front as possible. The defenders will likely congregate around point A, so focus some of your team’s effort on point B - the ladders either side of the secondary gate are rarely well defended.
  • You need to take A or B (not both) to be allowed to take point C, but if the timer is against you you’ll need to secure both control zones to buy yourself more time. Taking A and B in quick succession will certainly send a message to the enemy and tell them you mean business. Don’t remain static - there’s no time to lose and everything to gain!
  • The path from A to C is straight and open, which makes it tempting to try and bludgeon your way through to victory. However, the defenders have two advantages - height and a perfectly placed reinforcement point to put more troops in your way. Instead, try to attack from the left or right - preferably both. Surprising and surrounding the defenders will surely win you the battle

DEFENSIVE MEASURES
  • The closeness of the enemy and ease with which they can breach the walls make stationing ranged units on the battlements risky. Instead, have them ranged to attack any enemy that scales the walls. The layout of the camp means that one unit can cover a wide arc, if placed correctly.
  • It’s inevitable that point A or B will fall quickly, which can force a hasty retreat to defend point C. However, the wide pathways and high ground allow you to perform devastating counter-attacks, especially with fast-moving cavalry if you can manoeuvre them to attack the enemy’s rear.
  • Frontier Camp is a simple map, but it’s easy to become drawn into a simple battle of numbers as two massed armies slog it out on the slopes leading to Point C. While you should have the advantage where numbers are even, be wary of being outflanked. Similarly, if the enemy seems entirely focused on moving the front line from behind, be sure to remind them that it can easily be tilted from the side.

Conqueror's Blade - Sapozhnik
When it comes to matchmaking, the more players waiting for a battle, the fairer that battle will be as there’s less chance for high-level players to be ranged against newcomers. It’s for this reason that we’re very excited to announce the activation of cross-server matchmaking for Conqueror’s Blade.

Effectively what this means is that you could find yourself fighting against or alongside players from any of the four current Conqueror’s Blade servers (EU West 1, EU West 2, NA and EU East). This will ensure reduced waiting as well as fairer battles, which should translate into more fun and less frustration.

Of course, there is a caveat - that pairing up players from one side of the world to fight those on the other could be adversely affected by increased server latency, but as we all know lag is just as discriminating against where you are in your own country as against any other.

Needless to say, we’ll be watching things very, very closely, to ensure that cross-server matchmaking works as intended. In addition, we stand ready to receive any and all feedback you might care to provide so that all players enjoy battles that are numerous, equitable and entertaining. Should we need to make any adjustments to the system in the days and weeks ahead, we will let you know first and foremost via our Discord channel.

(Note: Cross-server matchmaking is only to be applied to Siege, Field, PvE and other one-off battles - not for open-world engagements or weekly events such as Territory Wars.)
