Mount up and ride out, the first content update for Conqueror’s Blade is now available to download for free from the Game Center and Steam! The Knights & Squires update introduces a host of important changes to the game, including gameplay improvements and balancing, five new units, an endgame progression system, and lots more new content!
Reinforce your armies with the new Crusade unit line! This expansion makes five new units available to recruit: Demesne Spearmen (Tier 2), Squires (Tier 3), Spear Sergeants (Tier 4), Men-at-Arms (Tier 4), and Monastic Knights (Tier 5). Inspired by the chivalric orders that fronted a number of European militaries for centuries, these soldiers can provide reliable heavy support to your forces, with their considerable staying power making them a worthy addition to any army.
If you’re looking for more ways to show off your progression after hitting the level cap, we’ve got you covered. Military Ranks are part of a new progression system that will show other players an overview of your in-game military expertise and achievements! The system will activate when you reach level 60, with the Military Ranks displaying as a special frame around the class icon.
The Knights & Squires update also contains a number of crucial gameplay and quality of life improvements. Several balancing changes have been made to certain units. Notably, cavalry units have received a boost to their health and base attacks, while the clout of their charge has been reduced by 10%. Additionally, the Dual Blades and Nodachi warlords now have new or altered skills, and join the Longbow and Glaive warlords in receiving stat adjustments in service of a more balanced combat experience for all players.
In the multiplayer arena, we’ve analyzed player behaviour and win rates to optimize certain maps, which will provide a better balance between attacking and defending teams during siege battles. Some additional changes have also been made to Territory Wars and the open world map.
If you feel like you’ve exhausted all your usual warlord tasks, don’t hang around your empire twiddling your thumbs – there are new quests at hand! New tutorial quests will provide more help to warlords still in training, with stellar rewards and equipment available upon completion. If you’re a seasoned warlord, a new set of daily, weekly, and fief quests are also available, with some tweaks made to the criteria for existing quests. You’ll now also have the ability to select a Skill Page for any class from the chests earned from weekly quests and drops!
Download the Knights & Squires update to experience all the changes and new content for yourself, and if you want a full breakdown of this update’s contents with all the juicy details, check out thepatch notes!

When using Personal Histories, a sentence now clarifies that using such items will reset attribute points that result from the questions asked during character creation.
Now when players choose to leave their House, and the base in the castle town of the House will be forcibly relocated to a safe fief, no further unit losses shall be incurred.

When the battering ram is destroyed, it will be replaced after a specified period. If the current gate is already destroyed, whether battered by a ram or via other means, the battering ram will not be replaced.
It’s been a pretty good week for Conqueror’s Blade in the wake of the new European server being fired up last week. Full-blooded Territory Wars are back on the menu and there’s a tasty release being lined up for next week. You can sample all these stories and more besides in this week’s Weekly News Summary video.
We’re very proud to announce the Knights & Squires Update, the first content upgrade for Conqueror’s Blade, which will be adding new units to the game when it arrives next week. Of course, there will be a whole host of tweaks and changes, too...
At the vanguard of Knights & Squires are five new units making up the new Crusader line: these are predominantly heavy troops that hit harder and stay in the battle long after weaker units have turned and fled.
We’re also adding Military Ranks, a progression system that kicks in when players hit level 60. These new ranks will show others at-a-glance just how advanced you are in the art of war!
Matchmaking is being improved, so that players shouldn’t have to face players that are too far in advance of them, but might have to during moments when the population for one-off Field and Siege battles is small.
Some tweaks to Territory Wars include changes to the pursuit rules, and to the prestige cost of waging a war depending on when it is declared - surprise attacks soon to be rather more expensive than telegraphed ones
Changes to open world treasure and weekly quest reward chests mean less randomness: you’ll be able to choose what skill pages you want rather than always having to accept what you’re given.
Also worth mentioning are a whole slew of class and unit changes to help level the playing field, with a general boost to cavalry units being the most prominent.
Keep an eye out for next week’s planned maintenance period, during which the Knights & Squires Update will be deployed and more changes and insight shared.
With smouldering towers forlorn against the grey sky and stocky battlements in a permanent state of reconstruction, Harbour City feels like the kind of place where war doesn’t just visit, but regularly outstays its welcome. Its barricaded streets and deserted houses betray what was once a thriving regional market, one that now seems barely able to regain its composure before another brace of warring factions passes through.
All the same, it’s a city worth fighting over, and, as with all Siege maps, its walls are the key to victory:
The attackers might seem to have the tactical advantage, with plenty of room to manoeuvre and places to shield its intentions before a breach is attempted. Meanwhile, the defenders have a broad and open front to defend. All it would take for the attackers to enter the city is for a cunning warlord to climb the wall and slip below to unlatch one of the two hidden side entrances.
But, the attackers have to take point A before it can move to take B and both capture zones - indeed, all areas within the walls - are easy for the defenders to focus on once the outer defence is lost, especially if it can retain the ability to reinforce and re-arm from both flanks simultaneously. Although there are no obvious areas in which the enemy can be boxed into a desperate standstill, to be able to outmanoeuvre the foe can be just as effective.
All Siege maps offer up a game of two halves - breaching the walls and then moving to take the urban centre - but in the case of Harbour City, with its broad battlements and short, closed-off lanes, those two halves have the potential to play out more distinctly than across some of the more established cities in Conqueror’s Blade. Let battle commence!
The Conqueror’s Blade dressing-up up box recently got a little fuller with the addition of three new warlord skins, allowing those of you who like to stand out on the battlefield - or confuse their enemies by looking like one class but being another - a few more options to do so.
The Empyrean Order, Eagle Knight and Solar Order attire sets are available in male and female variations and can be equipped by any class. As with all warlord attires, they don’t change the effectiveness of a character or their equipment; instead only seeking to make you look even more badass than you already are.
Be aware that when bought in-game, the sets will be automatically issued to your currently-active character and cannot later be transferred to another.
It’s all very well having the shiniest armour and a well-groomed horse on which to strut around the battlefield, but if your weapon looks like it’s been pulled out of a bog then it’s going to bring the whole look down. No, if you want to appear all regal and indomitable, as all the best warlords do, you should consider buffing up your weapon of choice with a new skin.
Weapon skins are brand new to the game and are applied to equipped weapons much like cosmetic warlord and horse armour items. They don’t change the base items in any way, nor do they add or subtract from its attributes, but they do look awesome, which is pretty important in any medieval setting.
Honour Guard's Ceremonial Set (Short-sword & Shield)
Crescent Blood Moon Blade (Glaive)
Knight-Banneret's Heraldry (Longsword & Shield)
The King's Justice (Poleaxe)
Snow Leopard Spear
Thousand Souls Nodachi
Brass Dragon Firelock
Sanguine Scorpion (Bow)
Amethystine Shortbow
Fiery Wrath Daggers (Dual Blades)
For this first release, there are ten weapon skins to choose from; one each for the ten current weapon specialisations. All of them are available for purchase as separate items in-game (F6) and cannot be transferred once bought - so be sure you’re logged in with your spear dude, for example, if you want to poke your enemies with your niftier-looking spear.
Weekly News Summary has been off-air for a couple of weeks and will be returning to its usual format next week. In the meantime, here’s a recap on what you might have missed:
Finally, some breaking news that's straight from our producers, who have just announced the completion of the following, just in time for the weekend!
We've given out compensation packages to all eligible players across all three 3 servers (7 days Premium Account time + 2500 silver). Players should see it in their Mailboxes.
We’ve fixed the City upgrade issue and given out compensation to those affected, with the cost difference transferred to players automatically.
Auction House issues are fixed and the feature is now fully functional.
Guild leaders affected by camp transfer issues have been compensated with 5 Migration Tokens.
Last but not least, the Mountain Struggle DUEL Mode will be enabled today at 20:00 CEST (11:00 PDT), allowing players to earn some extra skill pages. The mode will be enabled at the same time as IRONMAN and will last for 3 hours rather than 2.
That’s it for now, Warlords. Rest assured that we’ll be back next week with more Conqueror’s Blade news - in video form this time! Until then, see you on the battlements!
We are pleased to announce that, in addition to our continuing efforts to increase server efficiency across our established servers, we will soon be launching a new European server.
“Europe West 2” will be accessible from the main screen after a scheduled maintenance period on Saturday 22nd June, and will offer a fresh start for those that venture forth to explore unclaimed lands. Of course, we don’t expect them to remain unclaimed for long!
New server FAQ:
Why are you creating a new server? To provide a fresh start for those that wish to experience it, and to ease some of the pressure on “Europe West”, which is the most populated of our three current servers.
Can I transfer my existing/current character to the new server? There are no plans to offer character transfers at this moment in time. You will need to create a new character to play on the new server.
Can I create a new character on the new server and also keep my character on the old server? You can have up to 10 characters on each server, so with a new server, you can create 10 more characters than you could before!
Can I send my pre-order pack and Collector’s Pack items to the new Europe West 2 server? If you have items in your Account Inventory that have yet to be issued to one of your characters, then you can create a new character on EU West 2 and transfer those items to it.
Can I transfer any of my Storage items from the website to the new server? Though you must select a server, Account Inventory (aka Storage) items are issued directly to characters. If you have items in your Storage area and a character on the new server, you can make a transfer.
Can I transfer items I have already sent in-game from my current character to the new server? No. There are no character-to-character transfers. If you have already transferred an item to a character on another server, it is permanently bound to that character and cannot be retransferred to another.
Will there be other new servers for other regions? New servers will be considered if it becomes necessary.
