The age of heroes is over – it’s time for rebels. Take up arms and rally against evil in Season IX: Tyranny. Raise your rebellion, forge alliances, and seek glory on the battlefield as you embark on this new Seasonal Campaign!

To participate in the Campaign, you must belong to an NPC or player-controlled House/Cohort or Alliance and fight alongside your fellow warlords via the ‘Battle’ interface or in the open world to gain control of settlements. Season IX’s Territory Wars began on September 28 and will occur every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the season. For more information about Territory Wars, check out our top tips here.

Territory Wars have improved in Season IX, and you can read up on those changes here.

The Season IX Campaign is divided into five stages. The Borderlands is the core region, with the main objective being its Capital: Conqueror’s City (in Stage 5). As stages progress, access is granted to neighbouring regions, which then become conquerable. The Borderlands’ fiefs will grant Influence to their captors’ Alliance, and whoever controls Conqueror’s City will be the victor. The winning House’s liege will receive the Hegemon title, and all members will receive additional rewards.

Armed with throwing spears and a score to settle, the Outriders are the first Seasonal Unit available in Season IX: Tyranny. Available to unlock now via Unit Challenges, the Outriders speed into battle on horseback and throw incendiary javelins at their foes, then shift to melee attacks when the conflict gets too close for comfort.

Unlocking
The Outriders are unlocked via Seasonal Unit Challenges, and they enjoy a Seasonal Bonus in the form of Leadership requirements decreased by 10 and resupply costs reduced by 50% during Season IX.
Gameplay
With the Borderlands’ agricultural industries depleted, the Outriders must fight back for the sake of their precious mounts, and their land.

When fighting in the resource-poor wastelands, Outriders can plunder their enemies for their ammunition, then soak those stolen spears in naptha, causing explosive damage to whomever they hit.

Just the facts: Outriders (3-Star)
Formations
  • Dispersed: The Outriders spread to lessen damage from ranged attacks.
  • Crane: A two-winged formation, good for attacking enemies to the front.
Unit Traits
  • Scavengers: In an environment scarce in resources, Outriders can plunder the enemy's supplies in battle to replenish their own ammunition.
  • Reckless: Outriders are not afraid of taking the battle to the enemy and will use melee attacks when close. Every 5 seconds, they unleash explosive attacks (while also becoming energised for 3 seconds), greatly increasing their speed.
  • Borderlanders: Leadership costs are reduced by 10 during Season IX: Tyranny.
  • Unreliable Weapons: Where there’s a pro, there's a con. The incendiary javelins Outriders use do not always work correctly, and have a chance of not exploding on impact.
Unit Orders
  • Ride Like the Wind: Upon hearing their commander’s order, Outriders charge to the current target and throw a round of explosive javelins at the enemy, then plunder their ammo.
  • Burning Plains: Outriders can be ordered to ignite an explosive javelin and hurl it at an enemy, soaking them in naptha. After a few seconds, an explosion will inflict damage and reduce the opponents Block.
The Outriders are available to unlock via Unit Challenges now!

The above information is correct as of the time of publication. Please check in-game for the most up-to-date Unit information.

Conqueror's Blade - Kaeden
The arid wastelands of Season IX: Tyranny call for a new kind of warfare - desert.

Historically, desert warfare has given warring factions unique challenges to overcome, and surmounting those difficulties is literally the difference between life and death.

The elements can be more hazardous than the enemy, even when that foe is the diabolical Tyrant. Here are five tips on how to survive desert warfare.
  • Stay Hydrated
Barren regions with no water sources make combat especially tough for soldiers with animal companions (whether that be horses or dogs). In Season IX: Tyranny, the cavalry Unit of the Outriders must keep their equine pals alive to survive themselves, even in the depleted pastures, hence the lack of readily available water sources in the desert makes their plight that much harder.
  • Stay Cool
The high temperatures of the desert increase the likelihood of dehydration by a considerable measure, so make sure to stay covered and cool with suitable clothing, and find shade where you can.
  • Ride ‘em Cowboy
Militaries of the real world use horses to traverse large desert expanses to lower exhaustion rates of the soldiers, as should you. A Warlord on horseback can travel far greater distances (and faster) than one on foot, and cavalry Units can take the fight to their opponent quicker too.

  • Camouflage is Key
Any good soldier knows that camouflage is important in battle, and will give you the element of surprise (or allow you to hide). Choose Attires that compliment your surroundings, and you can slip into the sandy dunes unseen.
  • Be Prepared
Wars waged in deserts often prove difficult for visibility reasons, the lack of identifiable landmarks across endless sand make navigating them trying, and finding cover is next to impossible. Traversing sand can reduce mobility in a big way. With a lack of stable footing, the chance of slipping and even being buried by the dunes is a concern. Prepare for your journeys in Conqueror’s Blade through the Open World by outlining a course through the wastelands beforehand.

Chibs has been with Conqueror’s Blade from the beginning, but now it’s time to get to know him a little better! This Community Manager supports German Conqueror’s Blade players, comes up with fun events, and more. You’ve likely seen him streaming on our Twitch channel and active in our Discord over the last few years!

We sat down with Chibs and grilled him about fashion over function, working on Conqueror’s Blade from the beginning and his favourite community moments.

You’ve been with MY.GAMES for several years now. What is it about the games and the community that you like the most?

It is my sixth year now at MY.GAMES. I just like to be part of the changes and developments that MY.GAMES has had in those six years, every day has its new challenges, and it is really fun to see Conqueror's Blade grow, as it is the first game I have been a part of from the very beginning. Another big part is the team. You get to work with so many different people from around the world, which is a lot of fun.

What made you want to join Conqueror’s Blade and its community?

I liked the mix between MMO and RTS as I am a fan of both genres, and I liked the challenge of working on a game from the very beginning, as I mentioned before. I like the vision Conqueror's Blade has, and I want to see what the future brings for it. It was really fun to help build the community around it, and it is great to see that we have a lot of passionate players who are really invested in Conqueror's Blade and want to see it succeed as much as we do.

Tell us about some of your favourite or funniest moments as a Community Manager.

The live streams are always a ton of fun. It is a great dynamic, and the amount of epic fails we can cram into 1.5 hours of live streaming is hilarious.

What was your favourite event that the community team created that you were a part of?

I really loved our time at conventions and meeting the community, but those are, of course, not only created by the community team. I think the best so far was the first "The Clash” event. It was painful but fun, and we will definitely have our revenge!

Pick three words to describe how you think the community views you!

Derpy, Bombard (master), Cheerful (for a German).

What other MY.GAMES projects have you worked on?

Skyforge, Armored Warfare, Cloud Pirates, Revelation Online. Basically, I was more or less involved in every title before completely focusing on Conqueror’s Blade.

Let’s go back in time to the first game you ever played - what was it?

That is a hard question. I think it was Sonic The Hedgehog on my cousin’s Sega Mega Drive.

Would you rather have the coolest Attire or the most powerful Units?

Definitely the coolest Attire (which is definitely the Minotaur Hero Attire!). You have to be stylish on the battlefield, come on!

You can only choose one weapon to wield in Conqueror’s Blade for life - which is it?

I played with the Spear for a long time, since the Conqueror’s Blade Alpha, to be honest... but I’ve really come to like the Dual Blades recently, so I think I'd go with that one for eternity!

You can get in touch with Chibs via Discord, and catch him on the Conqueror’s Blade Twitch channel along with the full team, and watch his German (DE) streamsevery two weeks (on Thursdays) at 17:00 CEST!

Raise a rebellion in the ravaged Borderlands to fight back against a tyrannical new threat. Stand against chaos in Season IX: Tyranny, now available as a free update in Conqueror’s Blade!

Seasonal Campaign: Tyranny
The new Seasonal Campaign invites you to rise up against an evil Tyrant with your rebel armies, take back the devastated Borderlands, and claim epic rewards from the Battle Pass.

Where there was once peace, chaos now reigns. Choose to start your quest in the Longting region, Maoyang, or Ostaria before taking the fight to the stage for the main conflict of Season IX: the Borderlands. Taking back control of the legendary Conqueror’s City from the ruthless Tyrant is your end goal, with skirmishes waged in twice-weekly Territory Wars before the final showdown.

Raise a Rebellion with New Units
Three new Seasonal Units are available to unlock via Unit Challenges throughout Season IX: Tyranny, each with its own unique set of talents and abilities:
  • Outriders (3-Star) - Available now: These cavalrymen have a score to settle with the Tyrant. Wielding throwing spears, they excel at destroying formations with the power and speed of attacks launched from horseback.
  • Axe Raiders (4-Star) - Coming October 4: Once humble farmers and woodcutters, these civilians are rising up against the diabolical Tyrant. They utilise axes, the tools of their trade, as even deadlier weapons capable of piercing armour and boasting impeccable self-defence.
  • Shenji Grenadiers (5-Star) - Coming October 25: Hailing from the East, this explosive unit is armed with musket-firing and bomb-throwing skills that can cause blast injuries to any foes in their fiery wake.
Battle Pass & Exclusive Rewards
The Tyrant storms regions like a plague, and has accumulated a vast collection of stolen treasures and trophies from conquered states. Over 100 levels of Premium rewards await Warlords who complete Seasonal Challenges, accumulate Glory, and level up during Season IX. Pilfer the Borderlands for the Tyrant’s hoarded spoils of war, including the Tattered Henchmen Unit Attire, Tyrant’s Banner, Tyrannical Mount Set, Sneak (Emote), and so much more.

The Undefeated Hero Attire is available as an instant reward when you purchase the Battle Pass today from MY.GAMES Market, Steam, or in-game for 1,000 Sovereigns! The Tyrant Commander’s Hero Attire is the ultimate reward, waiting to be claimed at Tier 100. As Conqueror’s Blade is a free-to-play game, there are still many treasures to be claimed on the Free Pass too.

You can also unlock Blades from the Battle Pass to exchange in the Seasonal Store for rebel-themed weapon skins and reborn cosmetics not seen since Season V: Legacy of Fire!

Season IX’s Territory Wars begin on September 28, and will occur every Tuesday and Saturday throughout Season IX! Heed the call to action by participating in server-wide PvP battles that form the lion’s share of endgame content in Conqueror’s Blade. Territory Wars will change for the better in Season IX, and you can read all about the changes to Prestige, Cohorts, and more here.

Take part in Territory Wars by joining a player-controlled Free House or Alliance, or a Cohort (NPC-controlled House) and expand your empire by fighting alongside your fellow warlords via the ‘Battle’ interface or in the Open World to gain control of fiefs. For more information about Territory Wars, check out our top tips here.

IMPORTANT: Territory Wars will be in Drill Mode on September 28 to ease players into the new season. The event will retain the usual functionality, but with none of the consequences. You can still attack and defend settlements, but any change in ownership will revert back to how it was before the event started. Learn more about Drill Mode here.
Quality of Life Changes
Season IX: Tyranny brings with it a myriad of improvements to Conqueror’s Blade. Changes to Hero Skills, Honour, Crafting, Unit Balancing and other features are coming, and you can read up about every change here before you enter the Borderlands to begin your fight against the Tyrant.

One such change is a new consumable item: the Scroll of Renewal, replacing both the Personal History and Unit Training Plans (available for the same price) and able to reset a Unit’s training or a Hero’s attributes.
Go Wild with Runes
The Rune system is back, allowing you to augment your loadout with sacred artefacts earned by raising your Seasonal Level!

Season IX: Tyranny’s Runes are inspired by the animal kingdom, with each one imbuing your loadout with a special attribute from a wild animal. Attach Runes to your Warlord’s weapon, helmet, armour, boots, and bracers via the Seasonal Runes tab (by pressing ‘F5’) to grant tactical improvements and special bonuses to your equipment.
The age of heroes is over - it's time for rebels!
