Far to the east, a new dynasty has risen to power. Where there was once war, there is now peace; where there was disorder, there is calm. A new golden age was upon the people of Longting, and the Qian Empire brought prosperity.

Crucial moments paved the way for this new mighty realm to take shape, none more so than the opening of the Golden Road, which threw open the metaphorical and physical gates to all so they could discover this once-secretive region for themselves and share in its opportunities.

Legend has it that when the Qian Dynasty was founded, the emperor became troubled and sought the help of a legendary band of peaceful yet highly-trained warriors - the Cudgel Monks. This mysterious order was said to possess the spirits of brave soldiers slain in battle, and offered their services to protect the land of Longting and its new visitors from unforeseen threats.

Ranked Battles return for Season VIII and will be accessible throughout the season! Check out the Event Schedule to plan your rise through the ranks!

Unlike regular matchmaking battles, from which you primarily earn Bronze and XP, ranked battles are all about creating a persistent record of where you sit beside other heroes. Your efforts will still reward you with experience and go towards fulfilling quest objectives (although you won’t receive any Bronze), but ranked matchmaking is primarily about establishing an evolving order of dominance. 

As well as ranks to climb by earning points, there are weekly and season rewards to unlock - including a choice of unit attires to flaunt in front of your opponents.

You can always check out your current rank by pressing ‘J’ and selecting the Ranked Battle tab.

Ranked Rewards
 

• Ranked Battles are scheduled to run throughout Season VIII.
• Characters must be level 100 or above to take part in Ranked Battles.
• Player groups are limited to 3 members.
• *Above Gladiator, players within a group must all be within one rank of one another. (Eg: If one player is ranked Arena Hero, the others must either be Arena Hero or Gladiator, or Arena Hero and Imperial Hero)
• Deployable artillery per player is limited to one piece for defenders and two for attackers.
• Units do not endure permanent losses.
• In-game currency is not given out as a reward for participation.
• Rewards will be distributed weekly and after the conclusion of a season, as appropriate.
• The rules, schedule and rewards for Ranked Battles are subject to change, although we will endeavour to keep you updated prior to any changes.

They may be long in the tooth, but this Seasonal Unit will fight to the bitter end for their Warlord in Season VIII: Dynasty! The Greyhair Garrison consists of seasoned warriors, wise and capable despite their venerable age, wielding spears, swords, and shields.

The guardians of the Linwu Fortress (the new Season VIII Siege map arriving later in the season) for over 40 years, the Greyhair Garrison dedicated their lives to standing watch over the legendary stronghold.



 The Greyhair Garrison can be unlocked via Seasonal Unit Challenges, and they enjoy a Seasonal Bonus in the form of Leadership requirements decreased by 15 for the duration of Season VIII. You must unlock the Cudgel Monks before you can proceed with Challenges for this unit.

Unit Challenges have been improved and will have their stage completion requirements unified. You now only need to complete some of the challenges of each stage (e.g., 6 out of 8, or 8 out of 10 depending on how many Stars a unit has), removing the requirement of completing all challenges.

Unlocking the Greyhair Garrison will also unlock the A Heart Divided quest (which you can accept by talking to the Watchman). Completion of this quest will reward you with an exclusive Doctrine.
The Greyhair Garrison are the veterans of a doomed siege and will fight to the end for their commander's cause. When ordered to execute the Last Stand order, they receive the Hale and Hearty special effect, increasing their attack and damage at the expense of their health.

However, these hardened fighters won’t quit that easy as when their health falls below 40%, they can unleash their By The Book trait, increasing their damage and recovering HP from any attacks they land.



Formations

• Three Ranks: Soldiers form a dense three-stage formation to resist enemies ahead, and gain the Last Stand skill.
• Wedge: A wedge formation used for charging enemies. The Charge skill is even more potent while in this formation.

Unit Traits

• Grizzled Veterans: The Greyhair Garrison can use a variety of weapons in battle, each inflicting a different effect on enemies. This includes Sword & Shield (excels at defensive counterattacks and blocking), Longsword (capable of attacking multiple targets at once), and Polearm (attacks enemy weak points). Every time a skill is used, the unit will be immune to control debuffs for a short time.
• By The Book: When Health falls below 40%, damage is increased by 25%, and each attack restores 10% Max Health.
• Duty Unto Death: Unit is not subject to Headcount, meaning they can enter battle when current Headcount falls below 1/3 of the maximum number of soldiers in the unit.
• Qian Dynasty: Leadership cost reduced by 15 during Season VIII.

Unit Orders

• No Retreat: The unit immediately forms a three-line formation, and becomes immune to control effects while this is active.

• Last Stand: The unit adopts a defensive stance, becoming temporarily immune to control effects. This can only be activated while in Three Ranks formation; changing to a different formation will weaken the effect.

• Charge: The unit charges as directed, with a strengthened effect that restores the unit's health, and is even more beneficial if triggered while in the Wedge formation. The unit then becomes temporarily immune to control effects.

• Hale and Hearty (Special Effect): When using Last Stand, damage taken is reduced by 80%. This effect will disappear after receiving five attacks.

As the Silver Trial ends, it’s time to up the ante as the Heroic Trial begins! This event restricts you to Units from the Heroic Era or earlier and curbs deploying more than two Artillery pieces. Say goodbye to units from the Golden Era such as the Monastic Knights or Rattan Rangers, and prepare to field the likes of Yeomen, Imperial Archers, and Palace Guards instead as your choicest soldiers.

Season VIII: Dynasty is now available in Conqueror’s Blade, and to commemorate the launch of this new golden era and the upcoming CBL Global Tournament (taking place on July 18), we’re offering a new set of in-game rewards you can claim via Twitch Drops! 

Simply tune in to supported Twitch streams hosted by select Conqueror’s Blade content creators between July 16 at 12:00 UTC and July 25 at 12:00 UTC, watch for a certain amount of time, and claim your free loot.

You can snatch Treatises, Epic Artillery Chests, Expedition Paperwork to boost your Glory and Battle Pass level, Brazen Hero Attire, and loads more.

You can also claim one additional instant reward every day (up to a total of ten) throughout the campaign. Watch for a total of one hour and thirty minutes per day to claim a Twitch Drops Progression Bundle containing one Basic Supply Crate, five Unit Medals, and two Common Honor Medals!

Your rewards will appear in your Drop inventory when you’ve accumulated enough total viewing time from participating streams. Twitch Drops will be available in two phases:

It’s time for the battle to end all battles, as the CBL Global Tournament welcomes the regional tournament winners from around the world to the fight of their lives! Six teams representing their region, including the champions of the MY.GAMES CBL: Wolves of Ragnarok tournament, ENDGEGNER, will face off in an epic clash that is not to be missed.

A new Season means new Units, and further chances to seek Glory in battle. This weekend a boost is being awarded to your steadfast troops to boost their morale for another rewarding (yet gruelling) season with a little extra incentive. Hence, Unit XP is enhanced by 15% until July 19. Go forth and fight!

• Ends: July 19, 23:59 (Server Time)
• Boost: +15% to Unit XP

Note that this XP boost does not apply to Heroes, who must seek their own fame and fortune for the time being.
