Schroeder and Hart entered the tavern, shaking the snow from their cloaks. They were immediately greeted with a rush of warmth, the somewhat comforting smell of spilt ale, and raucous laughter. A merry ballad filled the room. The townsfolk sought solace from the cold, sharing tales and jokes to warm their spirits. Hart took the lead, passed through the crowd and headed straight for the bar.
"Two ales," said Hart as he slid two silver pieces across the bartop. The bartender filled their flagons, and the two men settled in a quiet corner, away from the hustle and bustle. Schroeder gulped his ale and shivered, winter’s chill still clinging to his weathered face.
“What news from your brother?” Hart asked, studying him with quiet concern.
“Nothing from Ostaria since the harvest,” sighed Schroeder. “In all my years, I’ve never seen a winter like this. They’re not ready for it. If it goes on much longer, they’re going to starve.”
A shadow passed over Hart’s face. “That may not be the least of their concerns,” he whispered. “There’s been talk of something moving through the North. Shadows among the trees, a dark legion moving under cover of the freezing darkness. An army.”
“An army? In winter?” Schroeder exclaimed incredulously while finding no trace of amusement in his friend’s face.
“Keep your voice down,” Hart hissed. “It’s probably nothing to worry about. I know it sounds strange, but I think I remember a story just like this.” He paused for thought and looked to his friend. Schroeder’s disbelief had begun to turn to a palpable dread, for he knew of what Hart spoke. “When I was just a child.”
Schroeder and Hart noticed a group of strangers watching them from across the bar. In silent agreement, they supped their ales and made their way back into the bitter cold of Turul Város.

We’ve recently been investigating ways to improve the Conqueror’s Blade experience for warlords over in North America, and we’re very happy to announce the launch of two brand-new, dedicated US servers on December 16!
The new Cloudwing Valley (West) and Eagle Range (East) servers will give players in North America the freedom to choose the best server based on their location (the West server is based in Sunnyvale, California, and the East server is based in Washington DC).
Players across North America will be able to enjoy smoother and more stable gameplay, especially during critical in-game events like Territory Wars. We expect to welcome even more warlords to both servers over the holiday season and beyond, so you can look forward to healthy competition and full battlefields when both servers are active!
The current American server, Asterion (NA), will be permanently closed following maintenance on December 16. All player accounts on this server will be migrated to Cloudwing Valley (West), where they can choose to either remain or move to Eagle Range (East).
IMPORTANT: Before you move to a different server, check in with your friends to make sure you can keep playing on the same server together. Communicate with your Houses and make preparations in advance!
FAQ
How many North American servers will there be on December 16?
There will be two new servers. Cloudwing Valley (West) is the new NA West server, and Eagle Range (East) is the new NA East server.
Where are the servers physically located?
Cloudwing Valley (West) is in Sunnyvale, California and Eagle Range (East) is in Washington DC. We recommend you choose the server that’s closest to your home.
What will happen when the server migration occurs on December 16?
After a period of maintenance, Asterion (NA) will be permanently closed. All data from this server will be migrated to Cloudwing Valley (West), including all characters. Data bound to characters will remain unchanged.
If you choose to migrate your character to Eagle Range (East) data bound to characters will remain unchanged. This includes, but is not limited to: Attributes, Skills, Attire, Units, Inventory, Supply Dump, Personal Storage, and Premium Account. The following will not be migrated to the new server: Friend List, Block List, House, House Level, House Join Requests, and Alliances.
Can I move my House to the Eagle Range (East) server?
For a House to move servers, the House Leader must leave the House on its current server and then transfer their character to the new server (in this case, Eagle Range). House Experience, House Name, House announcements, House Declaration Board, and House Default Language will be then transferred to a House on the new server.
House Funds and House Founder’s Pack content will not be transferred to the new server.
Can I choose which new server to move to?
Yes! By default, all accounts from Asterion (NA) will be moved to Cloudwing Valley (West), but you will be presented with an on-screen choice to choose your new server when you first log in after the server migration. If you choose to move from Cloudwing Valley (West) to Eagle Range (East), we will perform maintenance in the near future to migrate your account to its new home - more details will be announced on December 16.
Make sure you have communicated with your friends, House, and House Leader prior to the migration so you are aware of which server your fellow players and House will choose.
If I choose a new server, will I be able to change my mind at a later date?
There is currently no way to choose another server after making your selection. We are planning to introduce functionality that allows you to transfer characters between servers, but this feature is still in development and does not yet have a release date.
Are you opening one new server while keeping the existing one?
No. Asterion (NA) will be permanently discontinued after the maintenance. Both servers are brand-new and based in new locations.
Are the NA servers running on new hardware?
Yes! We’re confident the new hardware and geographic locations will provide better service for players across North America. We will be closely monitoring server performance across the board and will keep making changes and adjustments as necessary to bring you the best experience possible.
Will both servers have cross-server matchmaking enabled?
Cross-server matchmaking will be enabled at launch with a priority for NA-based servers and players. After a specific timeframe (for instance, if you are unable to find a match), the game will start matchmaking with players on EU-based servers.
Can I have characters on both servers?
Yes, you can create characters on any server. However, you cannot use the same character on different servers. When choosing your server when you first log in after the launch of Cloudwing Valley and Eagle Range, make sure you absolutely want your character to remain on that server.
Can the same House name exist on both new servers?
Yes.
What happens if my House leader chooses a server that I don't want to be on?
You do not have to follow your House leader, you can choose the server that best suits you. If you choose to move to Eagle Range (East) while your House remains on Cloudwing Valley (West), you will no longer be a part of that House. If your House leader chooses to move to Eagle Range (East), then the House Experience, House Name, House announcements, House Declaration Board, and House Default Language will be transferred along with the leader. A version of the House will remain on the Cloudwing Valley (West) server along with all members who choose not to move, and will be led by a new House leader designated by the previous House leader.
Will the Market still be available before the server migration?
The ability to list items on the Market will be disabled on Friday, December 11 at 12:00 CET for the Asterion (NA) server.
There's not a lot of time left to build up your Nobility Rank and amass the Hero Tokens you need to exchange for all the great items in the Seasonal Store. To that end, until midnight server time on December 7, you can earn 15% more Glory from all matchmaking battles.
Should you choose to fight, it could be a glorious weekend!
Please be aware that from 7:00 CET on December 3 (10:00 pm PST 12/2), the Conqueror’s Blade servers will be inaccessible. The downtime is expected to last for 5 hours.
Please refer to the Patch Notes for documented changes. Meanwhile, stay tuned to our Discord channel in case of any immediate server updates.
Update 02/12/2020: Be aware that you will no longer be able to take part in Rank Battles from December 7. We will announce the start of a new season of Ranked Battles in due course.
Update 25/11/2020: As an additional reward, if you amass 2,100 points and are among the top 25 players on your server for Ranked Battles, your hero will receive the special Mount Banner. The banner will remain available until the end of Season VI.
20/10/2020: Ranked Battles are making a comeback for Season V! Thanks to your feedback, the Tercio Arquebusier Attire is among the top tier rewards and cross-server matching will be enabled across all four EU realms. Check out the updated Event Schedule to plan your ascent through the ranks!
Unlike regular matchmaking battles, from which you primarily earn Bronze and XP, ranked battles are all about creating a persistent record of where you sit alongside other heros. Your efforts will still reward you with experience and go towards fulfilling quest objectives (although you won’t receive any Bronze), but ranked matchmaking is primarily about establishing an evolving order of dominance.
It’s not just about bragging rights, of course. As well as ranks to ascend by earning points, there are weekly and season rewards to unlock - including a choice of units attires, so that your opponents will soon know who they are up against!
You can always check out your current rank by pressing J and selecting the Ranked Battle tab.
Rank above 1500 points during a season to receive:
1x Permanent Title (TBA) 1x Ranked Battle Unit Attire Selection (choose from Fortebraccio Pikemen’s Landsknechte Attire, Tercio Arquebusier Attire, Pavise Crossbowmen’s Ducal Garrison Attire, Falconetti Gunner’s Bombardier Attire or a Serf Attire)
Ranked Battle Rules
Characters must be level 100 or above to take part in Ranked Battles.
Player groups are limited to 3 members.
*Above Gladiator, players within a group must all be within one rank of one another. (Eg: If one player is ranked Arena Hero, the others must either be Arena Hero or Gladiator, or Arena Hero and Imperial Hero)
Deployable artillery per player is limited to one piece for defenders and two for attackers.
Units do not endure permanent losses.
In-game currency is not given out as a reward for participation.
Rewards will be distributed weekly and after the conclusion of a season, as appropriate.
The rules, schedule and rewards for Ranked Battles are subject to change, although we will endeavour to keep you updated prior to any happening.

It’s the part of the season when the rewards for successfully taking part in the biggest and timeliest battles are being prepared for distribution!
New to Season V have been the battles to control Daicheng and Turul Város, with Anadolou’s capital Reginopolis standing in for the Conqueror’s City as the season’s ultimate prize. Here’s what you can hope to gain by seeking to control them when the season comes to an end:
IMPORTANT: Eligible players should not change house until rewards have been received, else they will be forfeited.
Ungverija and Liangyun Regional Capital Rewards
The leader of a ruling house whose alliance is in control of a regional capital (Daicheng or Turul Város) at the end of campaign stage 4 (“A Storm from the Sea”) will receive an attire when Season V ends.
In addition, if the alliance has a Regional Influence of at least 5,000 in that region, the leader of the ruling house will be eligible for the title of Monarch and a crown.
Leaders of other houses in the same alliance as the Monarch will be awarded the title of Chief Justiciar.
Crowns will be given to members of Houses if they have a title within that House at the end of the Season.
All members of an alliance in control of Daicheng or Turul Város at the close of campaign stage 4 will receive the permanent title Kingmaker.
Triumphs will be awarded to players based on the number and size of fiefs owned at the end of the season. We’ll have more details on this in a future article.
Reginopolis Rewards
The leader of a ruling house whose alliance is in control of Reginopolis at the end of campaign stage 5 (“The Honour of Thieves”) will be eligible for the Monarch Nobility Rank - if the alliance has a Regional Influence from Anadolou of at least 5,000.
If the alliance has a Total Influence of at least 8,000 (excluding Influence from the control of Regional Capitals), the leader of the ruling house will instead be given the Nobility Rank Hegemon, as well as its related attire.
Leaders of other houses in the same alliance as a Monarch will be awarded the Nobility Rank of Chief Justiciar. Those in the same alliance as Hegemon will be awarded the Nobility Rank of Chamberlain.
All members of an alliance in control of Reginopolis at the close of campaign stage 5 will receive the permanent title “Warrior of Fire".
Crowns will be given to members of Houses if they have a title within that House at the end of the Season.
Triumphs will be awarded to players based on the number and size of fiefs owned at the end of the season. We’ll have more details on this in a future article.
Imperial Restorationists Seasonal Rewards
Imperial Restorationists with a rank of at least Decanos or Patrol Leader will receive a title appropriate to their rank, as well as any rewards earned due to the successful defence of a regional capital:
For successfully defending Reginopolis:
A permanent title “Defender of the Flame”
Mercenary Attire Chest x5
Treatise x5
Random Epic Artillery Chest x3
For successfully defending a regional capital:
A permanent title “Guardian of the Throne”
Treatise x5
In addition to all the above, Imperial Restorationists and members of Free Houses will receive additional rewards in line with how many fiefs they occupy at the end the season. We will be announcing more details about these rewards at a later date!
