Burden of Command™ - Saber72
In Burden of Command, you won't simply be moving pieces around a map.
You're going to be leading men...Men with hopes, dreams, and fears...Men who hope to make it home alive.

So we're adding their pictures to the tactical map as reminder.

When you select a unit, now you'll look into the eyes of the men you're about to order into harm's way.

Lead them well, Captain...

Their lives depend on it.

Personally, I prefer my wargames with a little bit more magic. Real-world war is a bit rubbish, actually, with all the horrors and such. Nah, let me dunk on a dragon with a horde of goblins, that’ll do me. Still, if you’ve absolutely gotta add some “greatest generation” gravitas to your wargame, you could do much worse than a voice plucked straight from arguably the best bit of wartime telly this millennium. That’s exactly what the Burden Of Command devs have done, picking up Band Of Brothers’ Shane Taylor to voice your best mate on the battlefield.

Burden of Command™ - Saber72

We are thrilled to announce that veteran actor, Shane Taylor (who played "Doc" Roe in Band of Brothers), has joined the Burden of Command Team! He is the battlefield voice of Sgt Grant!

Grant will play a prominent role in Burden of Command. He will be your right hand man in the coming campaign.

Listen to Sergeant Grant. Learn from him. Protect him. Lead him.

Here's a sneak peek of Shane as Sgt Grant:

I hope you are as excited about this as we are!

Let us know what you think!

Hi Again!

We are VERY excited to share today's news.

Luke recently had a long-form conversation with Dr. Franklin C. Annis of The Evolving Warfighter. The wide-ranging discussion covered history, leadership, psychology, war, and all things Burden of Command.

Huge thanks to Franklin for his amazing support of Burden of Command.

While you're on his channel, please be sure to check out Dr. Annis' other outstanding videos and interviews. He really knows his stuff and is a great guy, too!

As always, we also want to thank all of you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
The Burden of Command Team

In our last post, we talked about how Henk Stoffers (BoC scenario designer & Dutch Army Reservist) recently got to live fire an MG3 (modern equivalent of the MG42).

We thought you'd like to see some video, so here ya go!

See you again soon!

Henk Stoffers is key member of our scenario design team. He also happens to be a reservist in the Dutch Army.
As such, he has access to some pretty cool equipment.

Henk recently got the chance to take a vintage MG42 to the range. While there, Henk took the opportunity to do some hands-on historical research.
Turns out, the MG42 is pretty darn lethal. It also turns out that Henk is a great shot!

That's all for now.
See you again soon!

Greetings, Captain.

Today's lesson is a quick one: Never give the enemy the upper hand. It will cost you dearly.

To paraphrase General Patton, our job is not to die for our country; it is, instead, to make the other guy die for his.

That is all, Captain.

Today we introduce the second of our two Wave 1 beta testers, Chaim Krause.

Chaim is a very impressive guy. He's been testing, writing, and debugging programs and games for years. If that weren't enough, he currently works with the U.S. Army to run combat simulations. Needless to say, he knows his stuff.

Please join us in welcoming Chaim to the BoC team!

See you again soon,
The Burden of Command Team
