With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, love is most definitely in the air. However, to make sure that we can all feel it this year, we want you to share your stories of how you came to be with your pact mate. It doesn’t have to be a long story, or even in the form of words - it just has to warm our hearts enough to remind us that we have one.
 
All entrants will be rewarded with a heartfelt gift, but those that thaw our hearts the most will win for themselves - and for their in-game spouses - our undying affection, plus some other other cool stuff, of course.
 
All you have to do is post some fitting text, an image or some video to our Discord channel; something that either explains or alludes to how your relationship came to blossom. It can be a short comic strip, a captioned screenshot, but if you do opt for text please submit it in English. Don’t worry about a rough translation, as the language of love always shines through - we won’t dock you points for misuse and typos. Do however make sure to post your entry on or by February 13, so you can then spend Valentine’s Day with that special someone / anyone / yourself (delete as applicable).

• The winning entrant and their pact mate will each get a Spring Love Letter Mount, either an Intricate Sunset Set (Female) or Orchid Night (Male), 1,500 Aurum and the Cutie Pie Honor Title.
• The 2nd place couple will each receive either an Intricate Sunset Set (Female) or Orchid Night (Male), 1,000 Aurum and the Cutie Pie Honor Title.

• Acclaim: When the season starts, the Imperial Society will issue Acclaim based on Valor Rankings or amount of Valor to players in the Generals game mode.
• General’s level: Acclaim can be used to increase your General’s level. There are six tiers, each with three stars
• General’s Battle Talents: Players can get three General’s Battle Talents per tier and equip one of them.
• General’s history: These background histories have been compiled by the Imperial Society. The histories describe the famous generals of Ausgyth who have achieved greatness in its various eras.
• General’s histories can be completed by reaching the required general’s levels.

End of the season:

• Acclaim, general’s level, and general’s histories will be reset
• The Imperial Society shall refer to the general’s level and ranking to issue generous rewards to them
• The top five players of each class will be immortalised in the Hall of Honor.

Revelation Online’s character creation system is one of the most extensive and exhaustive for any game, allowing you to craft features that hit all points along the beauty spectrum simultaneously. It’s perhaps something we don’t shout about enough, so for our first big competition of the year we thought we’d elevate the feature a bit, by hosting a beauty contest. Sort of.
 
Don’t worry, you want have to prance around in a bikini saying how much you love doing charity work and hoping for world peace. All you have to do is send us a snapshot of your favorite character’s face, or create a new one and screenshot its top half so our panel of leering judges can decide which character in the game has the the most striking profile.
 
As is traditional to these sorts of contests, there will be three prizes up for grabs. Sadly, we don’t have the budget to send the winner on a tour of the world’s most exclusive beaches, but we will be awarding the following to the three best entries:

• Winner: Stylish Overlord Honor Title, Harmonious Light Head Accessory, Cutie Squad (Apartment Decoration), Flourish Apparel Set.

Reinforcements are coming to Revelation Online next month in the form of Famous Generals, Revelation Online’s second content update of 2019. It’s a release that will usher in major Battle League changes, while introducing the brand new Generals Season mode.



First let’s look at Battle League, which in its current guise has caused some frustration as the League’s weekly limit has meant that players have had to repeatedly and unnecessarily engage in battlefields to maintain their league levels. To combat this, rather than League Value, War Medals will soon be used to increase Battle League level. Crucially there’ll be no limit on how many War Medals you can collect, no restrictions on when you can take part in Battle League and no level or Might limitation.
 
Consequently, the weekly War Medal rankings will no longer provide League Value. In addition, the rankings will exclude players of Dragoon League Level and below, which should make things easier on lower level PvP players, such as those of level 60-69.
 
One other point of convenience is that you’ll no longer have to make the journey to Noram Theren to accept and turn in Battle League advancement quests, as they’ll be assigned and completed automatically. This does mean however that they can no longer be abandoned.



We’ll be probing Generals in more detail in a future article, but essentially it’s an epic competitive season, in which players of Dragoon level and above fight to attain the rank of Ultimate General. There will be six tiers of competition, within each players must secure three stars to ascend to the next. Tier 1 Ultimate Generals can earn themselves unlimited stars, until the competition is reset at the end of the season.
 
To upgrade their General level, players will spend Acclaim points, which will be given out to the top 200 players in the weekly War Medal rankings. Unranked players who manage to earn 2,000, 5,000 or 8,000 War Medals each week can also expect an Acclaim boost.



The release date of Famous Generals is still to be decided, but with February just around the corner, you shouldn’t have long to wait. In the meantime, expect to receive more intel on Famous Generals very soon!

Via a login event to celebrate the new year, there’ll be a new currency put into circulation, Phoenix Marks. You’ll be able to earn them by completing daily Road to Greatness activities, that you can then exchange for all sorts of useful stuff. However, don’t bank on your Phoenix Marks as a long-term investment, because on February 15 any that are unspent will disappear for good and only what you spent them on will remain.
 
Day 1 of the event is January 23 (00:00 CET) when all are invited to start their new currency collection via their Road to Greatness activity tracker. It’s also the day that you’ll notice a lantern icon in the top-right corner of the screen, which will bring up the Login Event Celebration Shop. The shop will open at 10:00am server time. Items there will be limited to a certain number and can only be purchased either with Phoenix Marks or Bronze Shards - you won’t get to choose between the two, however, the store will be refreshing stock and asking currency every six hours (or whenever you make a purchase).
 
If you start late or miss a day, don’t worry. So long as you bear in mind that day 24 of the celebration event - February 15 (23:55 CET) - is when all unspent Phoenix Marks will cease to exist. Make sure you log in when you can, complete your assigned activities and invest wisely before that time!



There are a couple of things to be wary of during the event. One is that you could find yourself auto-pathing to an NPC called Jaga the Phantom. If so, either break free or ignore their absence. Secondly, you may see something called Flame Pearl available from the Login Event Celebration Shop, which you should avoid purchasing as it currently has no use in the game. Finally, if you experience a delay in receiving your Phoenix Marks, please wait 48 hours before contacting the support team. If the delay persists, please include a screengrab of your activity level to help with your claim.

• The Login Event Celebration Shop is incorrectly named as the New Years Shop.
  
• The "Available to purchase" is currently cut off in the UI. If you are unable to buy more of a specific item, it has most likely ran out of stock.
  
• In the Buy Settings pop-up, the shopping list area appears in Chinese.

All of the above features will be fixed in a patch soon. We will provide details once these have been resolved.

Revelation Online’s first content upgrade of 2019 is live, which means you can now start working towards securing legendary Space Time Protector status.
 
While the titular new game mode is very much a solo challenge, with 100 randomly-generated levels offering up realm mobs and elite monsters, the best of the rewards will come about from leaderboard appearances, either via weekly rankings or the epic three-month long seasons - the first of which should be kicking off now.



From Red Phologiston to Ascension Essence just for completing levels, to successfully charting in season-long leaderboards and walking away with unique titles and Spacetime Treasure Boxes, the potential rewards for Time Warp are substantial and worthwhile. We’ll be championing efforts regularly, so keep an eye on the usual channels to see who the best Space Timers are. Hopefully you’ll be among them!
