The DLC contains two new departments and brings more life to the hospitals with visitors coming to see your patients and a lot more activities for your staff. Let us name a few new features: pharmacy, staff training, cafeteria, janitor management, visitor's lounge and gift shop for your lobbies. On the other end of the spectrum, there's Pathology as an individual department where you can perform autopsies and find out more about what went wrong.

Hi all, while we keep working on and teasing new content on social media, here's an update with all the requested features and fixes we managed to implement in the meantime. We hope you find some useful tools these and it should be now easier to make your hospitals as efficient as possible. Hi everybody,

With the holidays right behind the corner, let us take this opportunity to have a quick look back at 2019 - what a year for Oxymoron Games and Project Hospital!

After the successful release in October 2018 which mostly ensured our survival as an indie studio, we continued working full time on numerous patches and content updates addressing both our own ideas and suggestions from you, leading to the free Doctor Mode DLC released in November. We're very happy to see our efforts have paid off, judging by discussions on the forums or by Steam reviews.
The game is now pretty close to our original vision and we still have some more ideas in the bag for early 2020.

So, we'd like to thank you all for the continuous support, wish everybody great holidays and all the best in the New Year! The team will be heading to a long awaited vacation, so we'll be only able to reply on the different channels occasionally.

Btw - the Ho- Ho- Ho-spital will be discounted at 40% for the duration of the Winter Sale, in case any of you consider - for example - gifting the game to a friend! ;)

Hi all, here's a quick patch that should fix most of the problems we've discovered after the Doctor Mode DLC release, including (surprisingly) some very old bugs.
Thanks to everybody who took their time to report the issues and helped us quickly track these down!

- Fixed a hidden error that was causing weird behavior or stuck characters in a few different cases
- Fixed missing examinations that uncover surgery complications in the unfiltered list of examinations (when playing with hidden diagnostic hints)
- Fixed patients not automatically taken over after reception triage when the department is set to assign patients to the player automatically
- Fixed patients sometimes not automatically taken over after being brought in in an ambulance when emergency is set to assign patients to the player automatically
- Fixed a few treatments that would get stuck when performed at emergency with an ICU-qualified doctor
- Fixed active department switching when typing age in character editor (when not using numpad to enter the age)
- Fixed wrong tooltip for employee occupations in character editor

While we're finishing last features for Doctor Mode, we're still working on improvements and fixes based on feedback from the community - here's the latest batch with a few spooky surprises. :)

- Fixed a problem with parking areas that were created using prefabs sometimes breaking parking area detection
- Fixed collapse in bed requiring diagnostics and patient care roles (and not starting at trauma center when staff look idle)
- Fixed nurses getting books to hospitalized lying patients chosen from random departments
- Fixed surgeries easily broken by sending a patient to ICU while being operated on
- Fixed an error in elevator lookup in case elevators got deleted while an employee with a stretcher was already on their way

- added a specific rule for setting automatic UI scale in 1440 x 900 resolution
- optimized GC memory access in a few game systems (should improve occassional micro-stuttering)
- fixed positions of elevators not saved correctly for different camera directions so elevators on new floors could appear in wrong positions
- fixed newly created prefabs starting with different orientation than expected when playing with a rotated camera
- fixed collapsed patients on the floor not positioned correctly when playing with a rotated camera
- fixed doctor's reservation incorrectly reset when a doctor from a clinic resuscitates a collapsed hospitalized patient

- fixed a popup about janitor workspaces incorrectly popping up at radiology
