Ian Hitman will be get a summer job robbing a bank, in autumn stop by a prison for a spot of sniping, then put his feet up with a visit to a holiday resort, developers IO Interactive revealed today. They’ve laid out their rough plans for the next few seasons of Hitman 2, see, both those paid expansions and the freebies coming for everyone. A holiday resort sounds such a rich opportunity for manhitting, a classic murder mystery location where everyone can pretend to be someone else but only the elite have the guts to choke out a stranger then squeeze into their Speedo.

Hitman 2 has already seen some fantastic additions since release - take hunting down Sean Bean and that snow festival, for example - but the upcoming content looks particularly exciting, as IO Interactive has announced new bank, resort and prison locations. I wonder if you visit them in that order.
In a post on IO Interactive's website, the developer detailed the game's content plans for the upcoming year. This includes new sniper maps, the new locations, special assignment missions and unlockable items such as a flamingo costume. Each of the new locations will add "new targets, challenges and mastery unlocks that can be used in all locations".
Silver players get access to sniper map Hantu Port and The Bank, but you'll need gold to try out The Prison or The Resort.
Bank levels are always a good idea. Just ask GTA 4, 5 or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Today, as IO Interactive revealed the roadmap for its Hitman 2 content coming later this year, it revealed the two new locations coming to the game as part of the more expensive editions of the game: The Bank and The Resort. Gold edition players get both, while Silver edition owners get The Bank. Nothing more is said about them, but a bank level has to have an option to stage a heist, right?
The Bank is scheduled to arrive this summer, while The Resort is arriving during the Fall. Also coming are freebies for all Hitman 2 players, including new themes for an existing in-game location.
In the fall, meanwhile, a new prison-themed sniper map will be added to the game for Gold players. Free players get a new outfit, an antique knife, Ghost Mode for Mumbai, and a couple of new themes.
For most players, I imagine the two new locations will be the centrepiece of all of this—I can't wait to see what IO has been up to since Hitman 2 launched last year. We named it our best stealth game of last year, and I think it's the game I played and enjoyed most last year, other than maybe Into the Breach.
To end, then, here's a crisp image that details everything coming to Hitman 2 this year, which a notice cautions is subject to change:

Ian Hitman is at it again, this time doing a scenic bit of sunset sniping in Singapore. While not a full map, today’s Hitman 2 Hantu Port Sniper Assassin mission (part of the Expansion Pass) feels like a nice warmup for the new maps to come, presenting a fresh challenge. Unlike the previous Himmelstein sniper mission, your targets won’t immediately scurry for safety when threatened, but instead are liable to try to execute the hostages you’re meant to be liberating. Perhaps an easy way to lure your targets out, but an interesting new failure state. Below, the mission briefing.

HDR on PC continues to be a bit of a mess these days, but provided you haven’t been put off by the astronomical prices of the [cms-block]s for HDR or, indeed, the ongoing debacle surrounding Windows 10 support for it, then the next step on your path to high dynamic range glory is to get an HDR compatible graphics card.
Below, you’ll find a complete list of all the Nvidia and AMD graphics cards that have built-in support for HDR, as well as everything you need to know about getting one that also supports Nvidia and AMD’s own HDR standards, G-Sync HDR and FreeSync 2. I’ve also put together a list of all the PC games that support HDR as well. There aren’t many of them, all told, but I’ll be updating this list with more titles as and when they come out so it’s always up to date.
Agent 47 is heading to Singapore in Hitman 2's Hantu Port sniper assassin map, due out next week. This is one of part of the DLC in the first expansion pack, which seems to be appearing piecemeal, and you'll receive it if you purchased the expansion pass.
A couple have been kidnapped by a criminal organisation known as the Heavenly Guard, so you'll need to find a good sniper perch and wait for them to bring their victims to a cargo ship and then take out three targets.
Along with the new map and sniper mission, you'll get access to a new sniper rifle, new discoveries and the return of the co-op sniper mode.
Hitman 2 was our best stealth game of 2018, so hopefully all the expansion missions will impress just as much as the base game. Expansion pass owners will be able to see for themselves when Hantu Port launches on March 26.

From March 8 to March 18 an elusive target will be available in Hitman 2's Hawke's Bay level—that's the New Zealand beach house from the tutorial. Dame Barbra Elizabeth Keating is a corrupt politician who has dodged a scandal and is about to embark on a PR tour with a body double for safety. If you manage to complete the contract without killing the double, you'll get a higher rating. Which is nice.
It's the first part of Hitman 2's March update schedule, which also includes a challenge pack called The Butler Did It that unlocks a feather duster, some featured contracts sourced from the community, a Sniper Assassin map for owners of Expansion 1 and the Expansion Pass, and Escalation Contract in Colombia, and finally a Legacy Exclusive Target. Coming on March 29, it'll be the return of the Black Hat from the previous Hitman game, and eliminating him will unlock a tuxedo with gloves.
Have a look at the roadmap for more information.

The good news is that you won’t have to travel far to find The Politician, the latest elusive target in Hitman 2, as she’s holed up in the compact little tutorial (and demo) map of Hawke’s Bay. Those shooting for a Silent Assassin rank will have to do a little sleuthing to figure out which is the real target, however, as she’s there with a body double, and killing both wouldn’t be classy. This new one-off challenge mission (being an elusive target, you’ve only got one shot) is just the start of a busy month of updates for Ian Hitman in Io’s excellent murder sim.
