It's been a little while since our last Open Beta ended, and we're coming at you today with an update on how development's coming along!ย ๐ As you probably saw, we received a ton of helpful and thoughtful feedback from all of you during the past Beta, and we can't thank you enough for that.
Though, in order to polish the new features we're adding, we've made the decision to move Open Beta 3 to early December.ย โ๏ธ
We hope you can understand why we're pushing the date back- it means more time to work on those featuresย that were suggested, and to make the game as stable as possible for you all, some of our top priorities.ย We know how excited you are to play, and are grateful to have you by our side.
This will also be our LAST Open Beta before the game heads into Early Access. So, we're working our hardest to make it a memorable one!
And an update on some new features:
Next week, we'll start sharing all the new features we're working on for Open Beta 3! Most of them were suggested by you on our Discord, while streaming, and through theย Steam forums here.

Back at it again with another weekly update! As we add more content, we also take time to fix all potential problems occurring from those changes and are doing some planning. We've also been doing plenty of play testing!

Hey! Our first Dev-Updates on Steam have begun! We're going to be using Steam Community more often, and that includes having our development updates here.
To get you up to speed - we had our most recent Open Beta from September 5 to 10th, and we've been working on the next big update ever since then.
The focus last week was mostly on Creatures, as we want more variation in not only how they look, but how they counter you, including casting new spells and critical hit abilities.

So we have some news to share! With the help of our translation team on Discord, we've begun the process of localizing the game. We're really excited and proud of what the team's been able to accomplish so far.

Prepare to enter Midgard once again. This time... with some new additions.
A few notes before you dive in:
HP Display: Current known visual glitch where names do not show above avatar (but still display on Mini Map and World Map) when activating the Display Names option in the Settings
Creatures: May become stuck on Camps and spawn on each other
Controller Support: Menus are NOT well-supported with Controllers (in the Blessings Menu, you need to switch buttons to spend points, from acquire to cancel to cancel to acquire). Inventory Management also has known issues with Controllers. including that equipping an item may close the tab (we recommend having a mouse nearby just in case)
Name Display: Current known visual glitch where names do not show above avatar (but still display on Mini Map and World Map)
Weโre sorry there wonโt be a Community Chest for this Beta, as weโre still working hard at it, but want to keep you in the loop. Hereโs a work-in-progress pic:

September 5th at 4am ET to September 9th at 11:59pm ET!
You can pre-download the game on the Tribes of Midgard BETA Steam page, then at 4am ET Sep 5th, hit play and the game will be ready!
