We have now released version 1.254.

New Features:
  • Enabled to specify "Effective Targets" for "Steal" skill and "Again" skill.
  • Added "Global Switches" tab to "Data Conditions".
  • Tabs selected in "Unit Events" are now displayed in color.
  • Added other-goodweapon.js and other-durabilityrecovery.js to the official plugins.
  • The "Change Unit Info" command and "Change Map Info" command are now localized.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug in localization when a constant (such as SelectionRangeType.ALL) was set to a custom parameter of data.
  • Fixed the bug that null is not returned when getCurrentMapInfo is called in SetupControl.

Just today, SRPG Studio has been updated to version 1.253!
A new drop-down called "Localization" has been added in the application's top menu.
You can use this feature to output your project data as text in JSON format.
By changing the text (English, etc.) in the JSON file to, say, Japanese, you'll have localized your game to Japanese.

With this feature, it is our sincerest wish that the games you develop are shared with the world in multiple languages!
Localizing will surely lead to a larger audience and playerbase.

With the winter sale underway, the year's drawing to a close. We added a castle town background in the DLC for SRPG Studio Snow Background.

As you might have seen in this news' screenshot, we are already preparing motions to be added for next year's big update. Like this year, it'd be great if we could get 12 new motions out to you next year.

Not only that, but we've also released a new trailer for SRPG Studio! You can view it any time from the store page.

New Features:
  • Added "Display Format" to the "Change Background" event command.
    Large size background images can now be scaled down and displayed on the game screen.
  • Added the root.appendBacklogCommand method to register text to the backlog.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug in the "Change Switches" of the base event that the local switch operation may be lost.
  • Fixed a bug that the variable "Current Map Id" was wrongly set to "Active Unit Id".
  • Fixed a bug in which name resolution sometimes failed in text export of unit events.

With the Fall Sale here, it feels like winter is just around the corner. On an unrelated note, we made a winter version of the SRPG Studio package illustration XD

In this update, we fixed a bug where videos would fail to play on games packaged and released on Windows 7. We also confirmed that the editor and games work properly on Windows 11.

By the way, we released a DLC called "SRPG Studio Magic Effects Collection Vol2" the other day. This DLC is useful if you're looking to spice up your game's entire screen with advanced magic effects.
