MindSeize has been patched with a quick-fix patch that fixes the problem with the weapon selection in Boss Mode, when challenging a single boss. You can now choose from all the weapons found in the main game, as intended.
The patch also makes sure the background graphics don't break when the player tries to run the game in a non-16:9 aspect ratio. (that's done by letterboxing the screen to keep the aspect ratio 16:9).
A small but quite important balance change to some early enemies is thrown in the patch as well, as it didn't quite make it to the last bigger patch in time.
MindSeize has just been updated to version 1.2.0, bringing the promised Boss Mode to the game, along with a couple of other improvements. The game now has all the planned features in, no major bugs left and can be considered as ready and final. There will of course still be smaller updates and bug fixes, no worries.
Patch notes:
Added Boss Mode, which allows you to have a rematch against the bosses you beat in the story
The Boss Mode also contains a boss rush mode that unlocks after beating the game
Added achievement for beating the Boss Rush
Added option to change the controller button icons on UI (Xbox, Nintendo, PS, Keyboard)
A couple of balance changes to the prices of mods
You now get to keep all the purchased drone skins, no need to pay every time when you want to change
Shroom Lizard attack speed slightly decreased
Small changes to the geometry of some rooms on the first planet
Getting the U1-M4 Gear changes your MAG color on conversations as well
Various bug fixes
MindSeize will be on 25% sale for a week to celebrate. Big thank you to everyone, we will continue working on MindSeize and keep being active on the community. Until next time! -Kamina Dimension Crew-
We have just patched MindSeize with a new set of bugfixes and improvements, bringing the game to v. 1.1.8. With this update, MindSeize now has all the planned features included, not counting the Boss Mode that will arrive soon as well. Bug fixes will continue as normal, of course.
Patch notes:
Planet sectors are now marked by different colors on the map
Hidden items can now be marked on the map after certain event in the story. If you've already reached the last planet on your save, visit Orbei to activate map markers.
Your crew will now acknowledge Orbei better, a couple of missing lines of dialogue added

The attacks of all the Warlock variants now go through walls (this was in the latest quickfix as well)
Improvements to Mimir fight and the attack patterns of the final boss
The Stranger fight will be slightly hidden on Verdant Gamma, to emphasize the fact it's not a mandatory
Added Wasp Control achievement that can be achieved pretty early in the game
It's now possible to melee attack when clinging to a wall (triggers the jump attack directly from the wall)
Pausing the game no longer stops the play time clock
Other minor bugfixes
And that's all for now. Have a great weekend and stay home!:) Cheers, Kamina Dimension Crew

MindSeize was just updated with a patch that should finally fix one of the most stubborn bugs that's haunted some players since the release. Here's patch notes.
Shadow Dash should now work without editing Steam controller settings (at least on Xbox pads)
Fixed the cases where taking damage after firing single shot weapons could cause the player to slide with the shoot animation playing
The camera no longer continues to shake in pause screen when paused during a shake
Healing now stops while the game is paused
Added VSync and weather effects toggle to the Options menu.
Fixed several graphics and input issues caused by the last patch
Frederik now correctly has a couple of extra lines of dialogue after beating the planet.
Blocked the player from entering to the deeper areas of Takomo 7 before a certain point
Fixed a trap room on Takomo not working correctly if visited in certain order
Opening one visor door no longer opens all of them from the game...
We will continue with the bugfixes, but they will be tiny bit less regular while we focus on the upcoming Boss Rush mode.
We just added an easy-mode to the game, it's available in the options menu and makes the game bit easier, in case you are struggling or just would like a smoother experience.
The patch also fixes a few wrong map tiles and a load of bugs, including two big ones that could grant the player invulnerability.
We've just updated MindSeize with a patch that brings some new content and fixes a plethora of bugs. Here's a list of new features:
Added the Steam Achievements to the game. It's possible to unlock most of them retroactively, even if you've played the game already.
Added a planetary log window that allows you to read more about the planets and enemies you encounter. This will be further updated a bit with an upcoming patch.
Added the possibility to change the appearance of your drone companion at the workshop.
Added a new optional boss fight that was originally removed from the game
A couple of changes to the dialogue, there's still a few unreleased chats with your crew that will be added in a future update.
Updates to the map system, these will still continue in the next patch.
Balanced the damage numbers of several weapons and enemy attacks
Bugfixes and a couple of visual fixes.
The great soundtrack of MindSeize is now also available on Steam, as well as an artbook that was originally a reward on our Kickstarter campaign.
Thank you for your patience, more updates to come!
MindSeize has just been patched with a set of bugfixes. We originally wanted to roll these out with an upcoming quality of life and features update, but decided it's better to just get them online as fast as possible. The second half of the patch will be arriving in the coming days.
Here's the patch notes:
Fixed several tiles on the map not updating. If you find still more, please write in the community bug thread
It's no longer possible to use invincibility frames to get through the "insta kill spikes"
Updated the map visuals. There will be still fixes and improvements coming to the map.
Dashkick boots no longer destroy the ground below you. Also fixed several bugs with the mod and balanced its power when used together with the calibrated thrusters.
The weapon icon will immediately change when you get a new weapon
Gave tooltips to the collectable energy cells
Balanced the prices of several purchasable mods
Balanced some boss fights
Loads of small bug fixes
There are still a couple of bigger, no so easy to fix issues we are working on. We try to get them fixed as soon as possible. We have also several new sound effects yet to implement for some enemies. Thank you for patience, that's all for now.
We have just updated MindSeize, brining it to version 1.01. This patch continues the series of bugfixes we've already made since the release, fixing a couple of important things.
Here's a list, probably missing some fixes that were already patched as hotfixes earlier:
The game now remembers what weapons you were using in your save
The game now saves also when exiting a save point
You can now shoot diagonally by pressing diagonally when shooting. Currently works only with controller, keyboard support in next patch.
You can now turn off camera shake from the options
Fixed the freezes that sometimes occurred when using the plasma avenger weapon
The elevators will now appear on the map on the second planet
Made the bomber drones on second planet hackable (if you have the correct mod)
Improvements to the fast travel map
Fixed several tooltips of powerups appearing partially off screen
The spongy mushrooms on the first planet should not disappear forever anymore
Fixed some uneven walls causing problems with the wallclinging in the caves of the first planet
Fixed some special attacks causing problems occasionally
Fixed rare problems with the teleporters on one of the later planets
Fixed several small issues with the background graphics in various places
Fixed jumping on some of the moving platforms on the second planet being bugged
Loads of small bugfixes and fixes to couple of possible softlocks
For people experiencing issues with the shadow dash powerup We are working on a fix to the issue where a small number of players is having problems with performing the shadow dash. This seems to be caused by the Steam controller configurations interfering with the game. You can try to fix the issue by going to the Steam settings and choosing the general controller settings on the controller tab. Make sure the configuration settings box for your controller type is unticked. You can tick the box for generic controller support. If that doesn't help, try going to the option in the game and switch the buttons for diagonal aim and special trigger with each other. We will roll a better fix to the issue as soon as we can.
That would be all for now. We know there is still some issues to fix and improve with the game, but we are working on them. Thank you for the patience.
