Update: The cause of this exploit has been resolved as of 2 March 2021.
Greetings,
It has come to our attention that a small number of Capsuleers have been exploiting a bug allowing capital Dreadnought ships to cloak when using Abyssal Siege Module.
Effective immediately, using this method to cloak Dreadnoughts with Abyssal Siege Module active is considered an exploit. We kindly ask players to refrain from abusing it while we are working on resolving the problem.
If you have witnessed this bug being abused or are a victim, please contact our customer support by sending in a ticket in the ‘Rules & Policies – Exploits’ category. Players who used this exploit in-game are encouraged to reach out to us in the same fashion to soften the applicable bug abuse penalty.
The new Bastions of War update is now live in EVE Online! As part of the Reign Quadrant, you can now bring the heavy damage to the battlefield in your Marauders as a result of changes to their specialty Bastion module.
Bastions of War Update
Marauders, which are Tech II versions of New Eden’s Battleship class vessels, have gotten a boost to their damage dealing might through changes to their unique Bastion module. This mod now doubles the rate of fire for all large weapons while active, making them an even more formidable element on the battlefield.
There are further changes too that have been shaped with input from the EVE community! As part of this update, the Vargur sees its 5% bonus to large projectile rate of fire changed to a 7.5% bonus to large projectile damage. In addition, the Kronos gets its capacitor capacity increased to 8000 GJ and its capacitor recharge time reduced to 17 mins 30 secs. Also as part of this update going live, the Paladin will have its 5% Amarr Battleship skill bonus to capacitor capacity replaced with a 10% reduction in capacitor need for Large Energy Turret activation per Amarr Battleship skill level.
Bastion duration has also decreased to 30 seconds, reducing Marauders’ commitment to a single position alongside their newfound power!
Bastions of War also brings updates for Heavy Assault Cruisers, with Assault Damage Control duration reduced by 25%, passive hull resist bonus reductions, and removal of the bonus reduction to MicrowarpDrive signature penalty.
Check out all of these changes in full – as well as those to Interdictors and Stasis Webification Probes - in the patch notes.

Coming in fast as part of EVE Online’s new Reign Quadrant, Fleet Formations will give Capsuleers a powerful tactical weapon to wield on the battlefield!
Soon, fleets will be able to arrive at a location from warp in a variety of formations. Not only will these formations look amazing, but they can be used to influence fleet behavior.
Fleets can warp in pre-determined Point, Sphere, Arrow, Wall, and Plane formations. The shape, size, and spacing between ships can also be adjusted. There will be an additional Relative (custom) formation option which will snapshot the relative position of all ships within a given range of the Fleet Commander and warp them all to the same relative positions at the warp destination.
Be sure to watch the live discussion with CCP Rise and CCP Signal on Pando's FC Chat on Twitch at 21:00 UTC on Friday 19 February for more info!
Fleet Formations will allow you to attack with intent, with agility, and with majesty. Will you turn the tide of battle wielding this advantage?

Earlier this week the first quadrant of 2021 – Reign – got underway. It brought with it a long-requested feature in the form of an enhanced fleet finder which you can read about in the Fleet Discovery news item.
The new fleet finder tool is great for NPSI (Not Purple, Shoot It) communities and so this weekend CCP will be teaming up with Spectre Fleet to run a public NPSI fleet specifically aimed at new players or just players new to PvP! If you’ve been curious about trying out PvP in EVE this is a great low stress, low cost way to get started. You’ll have dozens of fleet mates to learn the ropes with and some excellent leadership from Spectre Fleet’s seasoned fleet commanders. And you won’t need a lot of skill points or a lot of ISK to get involved.
CCP will be joining players in the fleet and streaming the event from our point of view on CCPTV, so if you can’t take part you can stlll tune in.
The fleet is currently scheduled to depart from Jita on Saturday, February 13 at 20:00 EVE time. If you would like to participate in the fleet you should check out this thread on the EVE Online forums for updates and information about any preparations you’ll need to make before setting off. Fleet communications will be in English.
Spectre Fleet is one of EVE Online’s longest running NPSI communities who run regular public fleets and welcome capsuleers from all over New Eden to X up and get their shoot on.
The Abyssal Proving Grounds return with a new twist! Until 11:00 UTC on 16 February, you can engage in 2v2 Tech I Cruiser matches. As a special inclusion this time around, and in the spirit of the Guardian's Gala event, there is an allusion to the Guardian Angels and the Serpentis Corporation with a 50% bonus to the web strength of all Stasis Webifiers for this round of matches.
Permitted hulls for this round are: Arbitrator, Blackbird, Bellicose, Caracal, Celestis, Maller, Moa, Omen, Rupture, Stabber, Thorax, and Vexor.
Limitations for this round are:
Modules limited to meta level 5 and below
No pirate implants
Make sure you have your Proving Filaments ready, either from Abyssal Deadspace loot drops or from the in-game market. This will be a dramatic series of fights so don’t forget to track your favorite Capsuleer’s performance using the leaderboards!
