After today's extended downtime, we received several reports that local chat was not functioning correctly.

After some testing and bug fixing, we have now released a client hotfix that fixes the issue with local chat.

If any pilots are still experiencing issues with local, we recommend that you restart your launcher in order to apply the client hotfix.

This will patch your client and return local to normal functionality.

After significant testing of the new chat bubble system with the objective of measuring how it improved communication between new players, we have decided to disable them with a point release tomorrow, April 5th.

We’ll be taking a look at metrics from this test, and may potentially iterate on the system based on community feedback, with a view to re-introducing it in a future release.
