• 2nd Anniversary Gift (UTC 2021-04-28 After Maintenance - 2021-05-12 05:00) - During the Event Period, login for 22 minutes to receive '2nd Anniversary Gift Chest (7 Types - 12 Total)'
- The gift chests can only be opened with 2nd Anniversary Gift Chest Keys and each gift requires a different number of keys to open
- During the Event Period, you will acquire 2nd Anniversary Coins for playing PVP or PVE and you can use these coins from the NPC Talem to purchase 2nd Anniversary Gift Chest Keys or Cakes o PVP: Win or Lose, 50% Chance to Acquire 2nd Anniversary Coin x 1 o PVE: 50% chance to acquire 2nd Anniversary Coin x 1 by clearing a dungeon within your level range o AI Match, Custom Missions, Tournament, and Abyss Dungeons will not drop 2nd Anniversary Coins Purchase Limit will reset on UTC 00:00 of each day
- During the Event Period, receive 2nd Anniversary Gift Chest Key for being logged in for 22 min each week

Bug Fix
• Fixed the bug where Fallen Light's Burning Punisher's invincibility effect was not working • Fixed the bug where you would sometimes drop to the ground when using Lightning Fang's Flame Strike in the air • Fixed the bug where Blazing Fist was able to control the direction of the enemy being knocked back when using Instant Chase • Fixed the bug where Sword & Shield was being sorted to be placed above Orb when using the auto sort feature for Equipment Weapon & Costume Weapon inventory
We're here celebrating another awesome year of KurtzPel! So much has happened within the last year and we'd like to take this time to host two events to commemorate KurtzPel’s 2nd Anniversary. We’ve prepared two events that will be available for all regions! Please read the rules and instructions for the events below:
KurtzPel 2nd Anniversary Costume Contest
Rules: - You must be in the KurtzPel Official Discord (http://Discord.gg/KurtzPel). - Each Player is only allowed 1 (one) entry per Account. Players found entering multiple times will be disqualified. If you would like to re-submit your entry, delete your prior entry before submitting a new one. - All entries must abide by KurtzPel's, Steam's, and Discord’s Terms of Service. - Screenshots must be submitted in the #2nd-anniversary-submissions channel. Any entries not in the appropriate channel will be disqualified (Any unnecessary comments/chat in the channel may result in a mute/disqualification, it is strictly for submissions only). - Entries must not be edited in any way through PhotoShop or other Picture Editing Software. (Cropping is the only form of editing allowed). - Players must include their KurtzPel IGN and Server in their entries to be eligible for prizes. - All Entries must be submitted by May 1st, 2021 09:00 PM (PDT).
Scoring/Criteria: - For this contest we would like players and the Discord Moderators to determine the winners. - Players will vote for the best screenshot with a thumbs up or thumbs down reaction. - 5 Winners will be picked based on community votes and 5 winners will be picked chosen by the Moderator team.
Prizes: - Each winner will receive 2,000 KP up to 10 winners.
KurtzPel 2nd Anniversary PvP Tournament
We will be hosting a 2v2 PvP tournament to commemorate another awesome year of KurtzPel by highlighting the new maps, all the karmas, and much more! Each region will receive their own KP prize pool, officially sponsored by KoG Games!

The Official KurtzPel Discord will be used so please join it if you are participating (http://Discord.gg/KurtzPel). On the day of each tournament, participants that signed up will receive a role in the Discord for communication in a channel that will open up when the role is applied.
Any team that fails to successfully check in to the tournament an hour prior to the broadcast time will forego their team slot to the next available reserve team.

• Equipment Repair Cost - Overall repair cost for equipment has been decreased to fit the CP acquisition amount

PVP Season 8
Your Season 8 Rank will depend on your rank from Season 7. All ranks will go down by 3. The highest rank you can get from the reset is B1 and the lowest is D1. However, all E ranks will be reset to E1.
Karma Balance
• Blazing Fist - Dash Attack: Dash Attack's tracking range decreased and RMB + Dash movement speed decreased by 30%
• Soul of Magus - Dash Attack: Damage decreased by 25% and Break Damage decreased by 50%

New Awakening
• Fallen Light & Ruler of Darkness Awakening - Awakening is coming for Fallen Light & Ruler of Darkness!
- How to unlock Awakening Reach Lv.20 and Karma Lv.6 on your character, then you will be able to talk to the NPC inside Eltheca to receive the Awakening Quest. Once complete, you will receive an item that will unlock your awakening. These awakening quests can be complete by playing dungeons within your level range or can be unlocked by purchasing Awakening Tomes in the KP Shop.
- Karma Skill Tree Expansion When you unlock your awakening, you can level up your karma up to Lv.11 and you can become stronger with each level by acquiring passives or new skills.
Expanded Fallen Light Skill Tree
Fallen Light New Awakening Skill - Lightning Trap Lay a Lightning Trap that deals constant damage. Each hit will decrease the movement speed for a short duration.
Fallen Light New Awakening Rage Skill - Burning Punisher Fire a giant bullet that explodes at a designated area.
Expanded Ruler of Darkness Skill Tree
Ruler of Darkness New Awakening Skill - Death Blossom Spread the blade of the reaper to slash and pull in the attacked enemies.
Ruler of Darkness New Awakening Rage Skill - Summon Darkness The Reaper creates a zone of darkness that attacks multiple times.
With this update, all Karma's max level will be increased from 5 to 6 but only Sword Taliah, Dance of Wind, Diabolic Witch, Blazing Fist, Dual Soul, Sacred Guardian, Fallen Light, and Ruler of Darkness will be able to reach Lv.11 through Awakening.
- Awakening Gauge Once you unlock your Awakening, you will be able to use the Awakening Gauge in dungeons. Your awakening gauge will increase by dealing damage to monsters and the amount of gauge increased will depend on your damage. Once you have filled up your awakening gauge, you will be able to activate it with L-Alt key. When the Awakening Gauge is active, your movement speed, attack power, stamina recovery, and mana recovery will be increased for a set duration.
When your Awakening is active, you can perfectly dodge an enemy's attack to slow everything around you and gain additional movement speed, action speed, mana/stamina/hp recovery increase buff.
When you acquire the Awakening Rage Skill by hitting Lv.10 on your Karma, you will be able to use the Awakening Rage Skill by awakening with a full rage bar. The awakening rage skill must be used before the Awakening effect expires.
- Awakening Activation You will no longer be able to activate awakening while using rage skills
- Effect of Awakening Skills on PVP & PVE Certain awakening system and skills will only be usable in dungeons. We are still reviewing the possibility of allowing awakening skills in PVP but only after awakening for all karmas are released.
PVE Matchmaking System Revamp
• PVE (Excluding Abyss) Starting with Dungeon 4 in the 1st Region you will have the follow 2 methods of matchmaking. - Start with Current Members: You can enter a dungeon right away by yourself or with your current party members. - Queue Auto Party: After entering the queue, if there are other players, you can start the dungeon with 2 or 3 players. If there are no players found for a set duration, the minimum required player will drop to 1 and you can enter the dungeon by yourself.
PVE Growth Revamp
The difficulty of PVE dungeons (excluding Abyss) have been lowered and overall, the time required to level up your character have been shortened. You will now be able to level up a lot quicker and the rewards have also been adjusted to meet the new growth speed.

We have heard the community's feedback about the upcoming Control Revamp loud and clear. After reviewing everyone's feedback, we decided that we needed to take more time to explain it to everyone about the changes. That is why we decided to postpone the April 14th Control Revamp until further notice.
As we explained in the previous announcement, our intention was to make KurtzPel less stressful and more enjoyable for players. We are testing many things internally and we wanted to bring some changes on time with the new season but we understand that giving a short notice for such big changes could be too sudden and chaotic for everyone. From this point on, we will give you a much earlier notice when we plan to bring big changes like the Control Revamp so we have enough time to collect your feedback and make the necessary changes. We would like to apologize about the sudden announcement and we will learn from this mistake and increase our communication with you, the players.
In order to decrease the stress and the difficulty of the gameplay of KurtzPel, we are revamping the controls in time for the new season. We are still in the process of fine-tuning the details and what is written here may also change at the time of launch. We also have Karma Balance Change planned, and this will be announced with the patch notes.
1. Removal of Stamina & Mana (PVP Only) In PVP, there are many resources to manage like HP, Stamina, Mana, Skill Cooldowns, and special resources for certain Karmas. We wanted to reduce the stress of managing multiple resources in PVP and decided to remove Stamina and Mana from it.
2. Changes made due to the removal of Stamina Due to the removal of stamina in PVP, certain commands had to re-balanced to fit the new system. - Dual Soul's RMB Movement Distance Decreased - Blazing Fist's Dash RMB will now consume Dash Spheres - Soul of Magus's Aerial RMB will now consume Dash Spheres - Lightning Fang's RMB reflect will now consume Dash Spheres when you successfully reflect an attack at close range - Ruler of Darkness's Aerial Flight will now consume Dash Spheres
3. Removal of the Blow System Due to the Blow System making the combos too long and also being hard to recognize, we decided to remove the blow system.
4. Combining Dash & Dodge We decided to combine Dash & Dodge and they serve a similar purpose. When you use the new Dash, it will now move further distance when used consecutively and could also be penalized for using it all at once. However, in order to stop the confusion of suddenly changing hotkeys, we decided to keep the existing keys to perform the same action. The new Dash can be used with either double tapping W or pressing Shift - You can have maximum of 3 Dash Spheres (New Resource that is consumed with activation of Dash) - You start off with 3 Dash Spheres at the start of the game - When using Dash, you will be invincible
5. Removal of Natural Recovery In order to discourage the boring running meta, we are removing the natural recovery system. Due to this change, the limitation of heal skills only being able to heal up to the gray bar has been removed. Gray bar will no longer exist.
6. Movement Speed Decrease In order to control the overall speed of the game, we decreased the basic movement speed and the movement speed increase from Dash Sprint. Also, in order to prevent a situation where a melee Karma can be kited by ranged Karmas when having the same movement speed, melee Karmas movement speed will be 10% faster than ranged Karmas.
7. Knockdown & Breakfall Status Improvement - Knockdown When you are completely knocked down on the ground, you will no longer be invincible and will take damage when you are attacked while knocked down.
- Breakfall Breakfall was used mostly to get out of being in knocked down status for too long but you were vulnerable to being attacked while doing it. You will now be invincible while using Breakfall, meaning you will no longer be attacked while you are quickly recovering from knockdown position.
8. Improving Difficult Controls In order to improve the control difficulty during situations like Dashing while using Charge Commands, Using Certain Skills while Aiming, Recovering Special Resources, we have made the following changes.
Please note that the Supply Box (Dark Knight)'s sale will come to an end during the UTC+0 2021 April 14th (Wed) Maintenance. Supply Box (Dark Knight) that are already purchased before the sale end date can still be used after the end date but please note once the UTC+0 2021 April 14th (Wed) Maintenance ends, you will no longer be able to purchase the 'Supply Box (Dark Knight).
