With new challenges and benefits, catering to Spa Guests requires a delicate touch. We've brought in a range of spa-centric furniture, including mud baths, saunas, sensory deprivation tanks, nail salons, tanning booths, and more! But here's the catch - Spa Guests generally prefer a quieter and tidier environment, so you'll need to strike the perfect balance to keep them happy. Let the soothing vibes flow, and watch your spa empire thrive!



For those Magnates who love the rush of adrenaline and the clank of weights, we're introducing Gym Guests to your hotel! These fitness enthusiasts come with their unique set of challenges and perks. To cater to their active lifestyle, we've added an array of gym-focused furniture, featuring chin-up bars, punching bags, cycling machines, rowing machines, a cutting-edge VR workout machine, and more! But beware, Gym Guests might not be the best companions for the cleaner and quieter guests in your hotel. So, create the ultimate fitness haven and let your Gym Guests break a sweat in style!

Hey there, fellow Magnates! It's that time again for a jam-packed update on the latest happenings in Hotel Magnate. We've been buzzing with excitement as we continue to work on bringing you some fantastic new features and improvements. Let's dive right in and see what's cooking!

We're thrilled to share that the testing phase for our next update, featuring spa guests, gym guests, and elevators, is well underway. It is just those final polish touches and ensuring that all animations sync seamlessly with the new furniture. Elevators are nearly ready for action, and we're hoping you'll love how they've been implemented. Elevator implementation has been more straightforward than expected, we have been able to repurpose a lot of work from doors and stairs to make it function. If you're eager to get your hands on this update early, join us on Discord and lend a hand with testing!



Our work on guest groups is making excellent progress, with the backend mostly complete. We're currently ironing out some edge cases and adding animations for couples, ensuring that every guest experience is as immersive as possible. Guest groups come in two exciting varieties: groups of friends and couples, adding a new layer of dynamism to your hotel management adventures.

Following the release of the spa, gym, and elevators, we'll be turning our attention to day guests. These new additions will complement guest groups beautifully, injecting even more life and vibrancy into your hotel. Keep an eye out, as it's likely that day guests and group guests will make their debut together in a future update.

We've heard feedback from a few fans and it looks like it might be time for another building competition! We're gauging interest, so be sure to let us know in the comments or drop us a message if you're keen to flex your architectural prowess. Get ready for something new and exciting! Every two weeks, we're dropping by to give you a friendly update on what's going on behind the scenes at Hotel Magnate. Think of it as our way of having a casual chat over a cup of virtual coffee. We'll spill the beans on our progress, the bugs we're squashing, and the cool plans in the pipeline. Kicking off at Update #38, this series picks up where our pre-Early Access reports left off quite a while ago. These posts might be short and sweet or a bit more detailed, but the aim is the same – to keep you in the loop about the state of Hotel Magnate. Release/Update posts will go into more detail about what is included in the update.

Following all the voting and support on the voting platform we have been working on Elevators! We have added a fairly simple implementation of elevators that allows for elevators to be placed off-center to the ones above or below, which should help allow for more complex builds and for any issues where the player places the elevators incorrectly. We are currently doing internal testing and tweaking and hope to enter public testing (alongside new guest types) very soon.



We have also been working on Spa and Gym guests and Facilities. Spa guests is nearly ready for public testing and should be published alongside Elevators in our next update. Gym guests is quite far along as well and will be introduced in the update following Spa Guests/Elevators. Spa guests will bring new furniture like a sauna, sensory deprivation tank, nail salon and more! Below is a teaser screenshot of some of these furniture objects.



Following strong demand from our voters and fans, we decided to increase the priority of and start work on adding in Guest Groups, which is essentially allowing multiple guests to use the same bedroom and arrive as a group. At this point in time, we are adding two types of groups, groups of friends and couples. This should bring a lot more life and challenge to your hotels. We aim to have this feature added alongside Gym Guests. We will talk more about this feature soon!

Happy New Year fellow Magnates! Here is a hotfix for a few issues that were identified by some fans over the holidays.

• Fixed an issue where bonuses to guest moods were not being saved/load properly
  
• Fixed an issue where the guest checklist for casino guests was not being completed when it should have been
  
• Fixed an issue where characters could become stuck when loading a hotel

Some players have experienced guests not attending any of their main activities or going to facilities. If you encounter this issue please report it to us using the in-game bug reporting page or through our Discord.

Greetings, Magnates! We've cooked up a little treat for you just in time for the December holidays. While it's not a blockbuster update, we wanted to sprinkle some flair into your hotel management experience before taking a short holiday break.

To jazz up your hotel spaces, we've added a dash of variety! Unwrap 7 stylish blinds/shutters, 4 vibrant bushes, a chic frangipani planter box, 4 sleek towel racks, a new mini stereo, a snazzy toilet paper holder, and 3 new mirrors. These new additions are your secret weapons for a hotel that's both stylish and functional.





While we couldn't slide the next big update down the chimney before the holidays (blame pesky bugs!), it's peeking around the corner. Brace yourselves for the arrival of Spa Guests! Get ready to pamper them with a slew of new spa furniture and activities, including saunas, sensory deprivation tanks, mud baths, and more. And that's just the beginning – following Spa Guests we will be adding either Gym Guests with swanky gym gear or, as many have asked for, the long-awaited Elevators!

• Added a tooltip when selecting a roof to better explain how to make it accessible
  
• Fixed an issue where staff would randomly walk around the staffroom after reloading a save
  
• Fixed an issue where staff could get stuck doing a certain task after loading (like being stuck at a vending machine)
  
• Fixed an issue where guests would wait too long at a restaurant for service and wouldn't leave (even when the staff had left). We also added a negative experience when guests had to leave after waiting too long
  
• Fixed an issue where guests would try to go to another activity in the hotel that doesn't yet exist
  
• Improved how a cleaner behaves when looking for bedrooms to clean
  
• Fixed an issue where the towels on the basic lounger weren't placed correctly
  
• Made guests wash their hands at sinks instead of drinking from them
  
• Fixed an issue where the energy bar on the Guest Detail View wasn't updated immediately when opening the menu
  
• Added a warning to Stairs if they are placed incorrectly and do not lead to an accessible room
  
• Fixes to some loading screen hints and general translation fixes
