SRC now supports Offline play!

Elimination races are here and they’re fast and brutal. Eliminator races are all about racing until your reflexes give out, each track is a full circuit with very few checkpoints. Although this time checkpoints aren’t going to help you when you fly off the track, one hard crash and it’s all over. Harder still, a ‘slow and steady’ approach won’t help as your robot is rigged to explode after a short time, only reaching checkpoints can increase your timer and keep you in the race. This is about as ‘SRC’ as it gets, Infinite momentum meets infinite laps in 4 new high velocity tracks.

The easier introduction to Eliminator races.
Avalanche features wide slow sweeping bends and plenty of potential shortcuts. Careful where you tread, the new pitfall obstacle will slowly erode any safety nets you thought you had.

A brutal narrow track weaving between the mountains.
Sidewinder features one of our favourite sections we like to call the ‘Roulette wheel’, built up of obstacles you may already be familiar with, but certainly not easy when used like this.

An evolution of the double back design, now with massive shortcuts.
Breakneck features our largest shortcut to date, but it’s not always a good idea to take the bait unless you can handle it.

A new gravity defying challenge.
Scorpion has quickly become a new favourite for our team, blending light puzzle elements with a deceptively simple design.

SRC now supports Offline play! We’ve noticed many people having issues connecting or getting stuck loading, so we’ve pushed this up as soon as we could. For the time being offline will allow you to play Trails Mode by yourself, we’re working on converting as much of SRC as we can over to the offline system. So hold tight, offline players will see a steady stream of additions with every update.

As this is a new mode we’ve decided not to include any new Championships just yet, let us know how you’re finding the new Eliminator races. With that said let us know what you think about this update so far, or if you find bugs be sure to let us know over on discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/d6MaRCb

Eliminator Races are coming in our 0.7 update at the end of this month.
4 new high velocity tracks are on the way; no safety rails, no lap counter and no speed limit. Eliminator is fast, brutal, survival style racing where one mistake could end your entire run. The clock ticks down between each checkpoint, forcing you to race faster and cut creative shortcuts to survive as long as possible.

Championships are a 4-Track series of races. Competing in this series rewards you with championship points rather than the standard leaderboard times present in Trails Mode. Every challenge you complete earns points for that track in addition to points earned from your final time. You’ll need to be slightly more flexible during each race, find a way to complete as many challenges as possible, as fast as possible.

In addition to the Official RageQuit series, you can create your own diabolical championships, involving all the toughest challenges on all the hardest tracks.

Keep in mind this new mode is still in development along with the rest of SRC, we have many quality of life enhancements we would like to add and many championships may be removed or changed before release. With that said let us know what you think about this update so far, or if you find bugs be sure to let us know over on discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/d6MaRCb

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for being patient with us while we work on our first major update, it's safe to say we under estimated our original roadmap for SRCs development, after seriously overshooting our target date for Championship mode. Rest assured it's almost here, we're doing the last few bugfixes before it will be stable enough to update Steam.

In building the Championship Mode now instead of later in development we're putting all planned modes of play on display, that way we can gather your feedback and make key changes long before release rather than on the day.

Speaking of changes, we've heard your feedback on Polarity, it wasn't fun nor was it particularly interesting. Polarity has now been completely reworked, although its key concepts remain intact, it is by all means a completely different track (With some real tight shortcuts to boot).

Keep an eye out for a large update coming to SRC soon :)
