Re:Legend - Newt

Throughout Ethia, shooting stars are seen as a sign of good luck and prosperity, however uniquely on Vokka Island, shooting stars are seen as a sign of a new Seacolt’s birth. Looking at the star-firing powers of the Seacolt, it wouldn’t be a stretch to put two and two together. Though the Library seriously doubts the veracity of the local folklore, certainly stranger things have happened throughout Ethia’s history to outright disregard the claim.

Thorough research has been done to determine what the star-like projectiles shot from the Seacolts are consists of, however no conclusive results can be determined by the members of the Library. From what we can gather, the stars are simply light magics that are manipulated to look like star shape. Why the Seacolt would do such a thing is another mystery that seems to elude all of us here in the Library.

Library records of archeological finds of ancient structures depicts strange imagery of creatures that look very similar to Seagasus’ being ridden into war. Many Librarians suspect that these findings depict the Old War before the destruction of the World Tree. If that were to be true, then Seacolts could be the descendants of these ancient creatures, which would fundamentally alter our understanding of the origins of the Magnus.

Re:Legend - Newt
Greetings Tamers, today we are pleased to roll out our beta branch for Multiplayer Testing! The purpose of this test is to allow us to further sharpen the progress we have been working on and also to allow our tamers to try it out first hand before the big patch.

The main focus currently is to ensure that the multiplayer is much more stable than the release of early access and most of the work will be focused upon it.

We like to thank you all for the support and feedback you provided as well during this period.

Back to the beta branch, if you are keen on trying out the beta build please know that it is a work in progress and we will continue to work on it as you play. If you prefer for a more stable and polished experience it is suggested to wait for the official release which is around Christmas time.

Steps to join into the beta branch :
  1. Ensure you are logged in to your STEAM account ( You will need to have Re:Legend in your library)
  2. Look for Re:Legend in your library and right click to open the “Properties” tab.
  3. A window should pop up, look and select “betas”.
  4. In the betas tab, enter “ MULTIPLAYERTESTING ” into the code section and click “Check Code”.
  5. It should appear that the code is correct and the testing branch should be unlocked.
  6. Above the code checker, open the drop down menu and select “MP_Rework”.
  7. Once it is selected, your Re:Legend game should be downloading the beta branch.
  8. When it is done, just hit play and you should go into the beta’s game version.
  9. To go back to the original just repeat Step 6 and choose “opt out of all beta branches”.

We will be releasing information about the new multiplayer features soon to help out people in need, in the meantime progressing the quest as normal will be required to play in multiplayer.

PSA : It is recommended that you start a new save file when entering the beta branch. As there are a lot of work done within the system to fix major bugs that was happening throughout the game, save files of old might cause the previous bugs to remain. We advise all tamers to start fresh and if there are any bugs still, it will be much much easier to tackle in the future.

Good luck and happy taming everyone!
Re:Legend - Newt

Foraging is an integral part of the Zan’s way of life, having lived in communion with the other denizens of the Wilkwoods, they refrain from cultivating and destroying the forest’s land for farming. Ask any denizen about foraging and the first piece of advice would be to spot and avoid Shroomies at all cost. Not only will the Shroomies attack you if you pick them up, they also have highly poisonous spores that can debilitate a grown goblin without issue.

Shroomies play an important role as decomposers of the Forest, eating fallen branches, rotting wood and other loose plant matter. They keep the forest clean while sustaining themselves and growing to enormous sizes. One strange observation was the collection of mushrooms by some Shroomus, they don’t seem to consume the mushrooms which begs the question of why collect them in the first place.

Fully mature Shroomies diverge into two unique lines, one being the large green Shroomas that sport multiple fungi on its cap, and the other being the red and spiky Shroomo. Local foragers would normally track Shroomas to collect mushrooms from their cap, the magnus does not seem to mind and the collected mushrooms would normally have excellent healing properties due to feeding from the Shrooma. Avoid the Shroomo at all costs, it wouldn’t be difficult to spot their bright red cap, and the spikes should be warning enough.

Heyyo Peeps!! How are all of you doing? The holiday season draws closer as the air gets cooler, ushering in the winter months. Though we don’t experience winter here where Magnus Games Studio is at, we share in the excitement for the flurry of upcoming holidays that will be arriving soon. We have some special news for you regarding the progress of development, and we hope you will be excited for the upcoming major update.

The air is cool and dry, the land is covered in a layer of white and a chill slowly settles into your skin. This is not the time to snuggle under warm blankets, it’s time for adventure and exploration. We are introducing a brand new event island to explore this coming winter season. This Island will be one of the many that you will be able to visit once more biome is released in the future.

This island will feature brand new environments and layouts that were never seen before in Re:Legend. You will even be able to meet new Magnus and maybe different variations of existing one. Explore through the frozen landscape to discover new surroundings and make new friends. In the spirit of the Christmas season, we will be releasing this piece of content with the appropriate seasonal decoration too!

We here at Magnus Games studio are gearing up for something we hope is very interesting for all of you out there. We have been working on a significant major update to the game that will be coming out very, very soon. Today we would like to share with you some information about the major content that you can expect for this update.

We present you The Everdust Desert, a totally brand new biome to explore! Yes, it’s a whole proper biome with tons of new quests, NPC, and Magnus for you to fight and tame. As you can see from the image above, the new environment is something that you haven’t seen in Re:Legend before and we are excited to release this experience for all of you out there. This is one more step towards the completion of the full Re:Legend experience and out goal to reach 1.0 as soon as possible while releasing interesting content for all of you.

The new biome is littered with new and interesting Magnus, which will be a challenge for all of you to try to tame. Upgrade your barn in order to be able to keep all the new friends that you make here!

This new biome will also feature many new locations to explore, some of which will have their own unique NPC’s and maybe some familiar names. Traverse the new lands and play through the new Story Quest to learn more about this exotic location and Ethia in general.

We are proud to announce that among the new magnus that will be released, we are including designs from the backers on Kickstarter. We are sincerely grateful for all the contributions that you guys have given to us since the start of the campaign, up until the early access of Re:Legend. We hope that we can get your continued support and this new update will be able to provide a new experience for all of you until the next major patch. Can you spot which Magnus is created by our talented backers?

Onto the technical part of the update, Multiplayer has been a major focus of the team since releasing the game in Early Access. There will be an overhaul to how the Multiplayer system works in the upcoming Major patch, and we hope that the players will be able to have a great multiplayer experience when the update is rolled out. We understand that Multiplayer is very important to a lot of you out there, and we sincerely thank you for all the patience that you’ve had so far with the multiplayer. The fixes will come in stages, for December we are focusing on content synchronization which means we want to have a stable connection while questing, leveling, hunting, etc. The team is working hard on it and it is finally time to reveal it!

To make sure that the multiplayer is stable upon releasing the patch, we will be rolling out a “Beta Branch” starting from the 6th of December on steam for players who want to help us out on bug exterminations. You can opt to launch the game in the beta branch in Steam’s game setting and gain access to new content early on but bear in mind that the usage of this branch is to look for bugs instead of having a bug free experience. With that being said, feel free to break the game as much as you could in the beta branch and report them to us so that we can fix them as soon as possible.

As a final piece of news, we have here a new NPC that will be introduced during the new update. What do you think? Can you guess what kind of character this is? We will be talking more about this character in the next update and feel free to leave your speculations in the comments below!

That’s all we have now ! To all the November babies out there, Happy Birthday! (there are quite a few here in the studio) We hope to hear from all of you about the update that will be dropping very, VERY soon. Do let us know what you think about the upcoming major patch in the comments below. We will go through all of them and are keeping all your suggestions in mind. Thank you for everything, we wish you a happy month! See you in game soon!

( Although we are a relatively small studio, but we've got some emails and messages about our community voting for us at the steam's year end nomination foe games. We wold really really love to take this chance to express how grateful and happy we are to have such caring community! This really brighten up our day in the studio! Time to work harder for the upcoming patch! <3 <3 <3 )
Re:Legend - Newt

Vokka Island is home to many natural cave systems and subterranean tunnels, from which a bounty of minerals and metals may be mined and extracted. Any interested parties however should be beware of the local magnus populations that call these habitats as home. One of these are the Prunis, a crustacean like magnus that has the ability to release shocking electrical waves against its unfortunate foes.

In the Southwestern corner of Vokka Island, you would find a cave that has the Pruni as its namesake. Home of the illustrious Prunperor, the Prunis guard it with aggresive ferocity, flinging bolts of electric at any unsuspecting intruder. Any brave souls that are foolhardy enough to attack a Prunperor would need to look out for its large area electrical attacks. I would personally recommend all to avoid approaching the Pruni Cave area, unless you like to get shocked.

According to ancient naturalist, Hallum Arcturcus Novus, he proposes that the Prunis and Blips come from a common ancestor but diverged due to the environmental conditions of each’s preferred habitat. Though the Library is unable to prove (or disprove) the claim, it is certainly uncanny how similar both the Blips and Prunis looks in terms of body shape and social structure.

Re:Legend - Newt

Under the dense canopy of the Wilkwoods, the constant pitter-patter of tiny hooves on the ground vegetation are the tell tale signs of the presence of a group of Brattus. When one first looks upon the creature, it would not be surprising to find them incredibly cute, but behind those googly eyes hides one of the most ferocious carnivores in Ethia. The Brattus will generally hunt in packs, chasing down prey that are often many times bigger than themselves.

A newborn Brattus is born with a sizable horn compared to its body, this makes it difficult for their young legs to support and move with much stability. This fosters a need for older Brattus to be caring and protective of their younger brethren, which would explain their extremely defensive nature when it comes to any threats towards the pack. The single horn in front of the Brattus’s face constantly grows throughout its life, there have been eyewitness accounts of a Brattorg with a horn twice the size of its body, but no such specimen has ever been found.

It is speculated that the Brattus were once omnivores or even herbivores, but were pushed into the circumstance where it has to consume the flesh. When venturing deep into the Wilkwoods, it is advised that one refrains from cooking meat, due not only to how its smell attracts the Brattus but also how it sends them into a frenzy.

Re:Legend - Newt

The Puffs of Vokka Island live in a herd-like structure, with each stage of a Puff’s maturity lending a different role that it plays for the herd. The puff starts out its life without much of the protective outer keratin layers of its older brethren, but unknown to most is the growing layer of keratin under their fur coat. Even at a young age the Puff boasts strong defensive capabilities and can withstand most attacks from the other local magnus. Despite this, the puff is extremely shy and runs away from other magnus, most likely due to them lacking outer armor.

The Kerapuff act as the defenders of the herd, running Puffs will generally seek out a Kerapuff for protection and it wouldn’t hesitate to run into danger to safeguard those of its herd. The Warpuff on the other hand are the hunters and spearhead of the Puff herd, often charging into enemies without provocation. If a Warpuff is not chasing about enemies, then it would be chasing fish and bringing them back to the herd.

Although the Puff are not seen to be magically gifted, the curious case of their battle shout has raised much debate among the scholars of the Library. Anyone in listening range will experience a temporary madness, often citing anger and irritation for the puff that let out the shout. It is suspected that the Puff has an innate magical aptitude that is released during these shouts. One should be wary of this, since the puffs can take a lot of punishment from us but not the other way.

Re:Legend - Newt

The Shadow Isle, they called it. Rumors said that this island only appears on certain time of the year, and many brave adventurers who venture forth..never returned...and no one knows whats going on and whats on that island… or how long will it stay there. The first time it emerged was 150 years ago, but then it vanished after a short time. I wonder what is going on now...

I still remember when I was a child, The Great Librarian, Astheon once told me that fishermen have reported seeing shadows lurking around the shore, but due to the misty environment, it is hard to determine what are those. But it seems to be a clash between two dimensions that created such a distorted island. So, there might be treasures beyond our imagination.

I’ve warned you adventurer, don’t get close to the Shadow Isle unprepared. Great reward comes great sacrifices...
