Chisa’s little sister, an elementary school student with somewhat of an aversion to the outdoors.
A frail girl who spends most of her time online, she has light, white skin, unbecoming of a child of the islands.
Although she’s nine years old, she looks much younger.
She has a cool demeanor and sometimes acts rather mischievous, but at the end of the day she’s still a child.

Today we will be meeting the main character, Hiroki!




Full Name: Hiroki Mizuno
Age: 16

"I'm a sucker for adventure. Runs in the family.”

Deciding to spend his summer vacation at his grandmother’s house, Hiroki comes to Ogasawara for the first time in years.
He used to come every year as a child, but since entering junior high, he’s been unable to make the trip due to his parents’ work and other circumstances.
So this year, he came to the island on his own.
Having come to the island partially for a bit of self-discovery, he encounters a girl in even more need of self-discovery than himself.

Hiroki has a bright and big-hearted personality, but has some strong feelings and ideas when it comes to food.
He even plans to acquire his cook’s license and become a chef after graduating high school.

Thanks to his participation in various school sports clubs, he’s very athletic and is an excellent swimmer.
In the past, he was once scuba diving buddies with Chisa.

A deeply-tanned local girl.
The same age as her childhood friend, Hiroki, Chisa’s parents run the island diving shop.
To help her family out, she helps tourists to swim with dolphins and works a part-time job collecting mail from the underwater postbox.

She’s a bright, energetic, and healthy girl with a great figure.
She shows absolutely no signs of shyness and is able to get along with just about anyone, but at the same time she’s also able to maintain a comfortable distance.
While she tends to whine and complain, she’s also a warm-hearted person who simply can’t ignore someone in trouble.



An extremely skilled swimmer, she can hold her breath underwater for an amazingly long time and feels most at home when in the water.
She often wears her swimsuit around town just to be able to get into the water anytime.
She can often be seen swimming together with Phin, the stray dolphin.

Something apparently happened with Hiroki way back when, and to this day she harbors feelings for him that she just can’t seem to put into words.

A young girl in a high school uniform, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
This half-Japanese, half-American girl Hiroki meets on the ferry heading to the island says she’s on her way to Ogasawara, which has a special place in her parents’ hearts.

Possibly due to the fact that she basically ran away from home to make the journey, at first she seems extremely suspicious of those around her, and she has quite the attitude.
Every once in awhile, she shows signs of something troubling her, deep down inside.
However, while her personality is actually somewhat shy, she also has a bit of naiveté about her and forges ahead full of baseless confidence.
Coming from a wealthy family and fortunate enough to be aesthetically stunning, she sometimes also shows flashes of a “less fortunate” side as well.



Emily ends up working a part-time job at Hiroki’s grandmother’s cafe, Machiko’s Cafe.

She’s also a total beginner at diving.
Due to her fear of sharks, she’s also afraid of the sea in general, and is completely unable to swim.
But thanks to the support of her friends and a stray dolphin, she manages to overcome her fears.

An all-new yet nostalgic tale of youth and the sea...
Set against a backdrop 1000km south of Tokyo in the Ogasawara Islands, a city boy, a half-Japanese, half-American runaway girl, and a girl from the neighborhood―all from vastly different worlds―come together in this nostalgic summer tale of teenage love, friendship, and growth.



Emily, the runaway, has her heart set on retrieving a treasure lost at sea. The city boy, Hiroki, and the local girl, Chisa, find Emily engaging in some pretty dangerous behavior and decide that they can’t just let her have all the fun. The three join forces and set off to find the treasure, said to be left behind in a shipwreck.
