For this Developer Notes, I'd like to share some information about cooperation mode and Nvidia GeForce NOW.
COOP MODE!
Our work on Cooperative mode continues at a steady pace. Our in game Cooperative Jake testers are playing daily, updating the development team about balance, bugs, crashes and (of course) the fun factor.
Green Hell cooperative mode will have no in game voice capabilities but will employ in game text chat. The Official Green Hell discord will implement an array of voice lobbies for gamers to utilize when cooperative mode is live, so keep an eye out for Sifner to bring up those channels (and the associated rules) in the future.
Cooperative mode will be handled in both 'public' and 'private' game lobbies.
GEFORCE NOW
GeForce NOW is a streaming service from NVIDIA, which is a similar service to Google Stadia, Microsoft xCloud or PlayStation Now.
Last week GeForce Now ended their beta phase, making it available to all interested parties (including here in Poland!)
Using GeForce Now players can launch selected games from their Steam collection on any PC, Mac, TV or Android phone. You won't have to worry about performance as the image is streamed directly from the NVIDIA cloud. You don't even have to re-buy a game you already own - GeForce NOW connects to the Valve platform and will utilize that library directly.
Because it's still in it's early days, GeForce Now does not work with all Steam games currently.
However.
NVIDIA has chosen an array of interesting games to be amongst the first cloud based offerings and we are pleased to announce that Green Hell has been chosen to be amongst this list of starting titles, making it one of the first Polish games to be offered on the service.
Green Hell within GeForce Now will allow you to survive the dangerous Amazon jungle even on a non-gaming laptop. Details of the free GeForce Now package, as well as information about the optional subscription, are available here : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/
We are working hard to polish the mechanics within our Coop work. The current issue involves spawn rates of items for all players in a session.
Keep those bug reports coming!
Reminder for those reporting bugs: Before you write a new thread/Discord post, please check if there wasnβt something similar posted recently! Keeping the same issues or similar issues in the same thread will help us establish the severity/scope of the issue.
When new issues appear out of the blue, remember to verify steam files and reload the game to ensure it isn't a temporary glitch. If the issue persists report it in already existing or new thread in bug reports on Steam, Bug Channel on Discord. How to write a bug report: - write how to reproduce the issue - include as much relevant information as possible: Is it survival or story mode? Which difficulty? How old is the save? Add screenshots!
If the issue occurs only on one of your saves and no one had the same problem, send us an email with your saved game.
What issues we are aware of: -Bamboo Bridge is already built on some saves -Rain inside shelters (only visual issue) -Mud mixer resets after walking away -Issue adding items to Stack over Stack limit, creating secondary issue in Storage. -When Player places a ghost on top of a Mud Roof it gets properly cut off under it. -Once Player inserts items into the ghost those parts of the ghost are visible and have collision. -Coal stays in the air after destroying the Frame under the Mud Charcoal Furnace. -Player cannot shoot through Stands, Smokers, Racks and Walls. -Sometimes Sanity tribesmen are spawned in T pose. -Weird camera position return after vomiting. -Camera looks up when Player goes to sleep. -No Fever or Poison reduction info in the Info Log and Effects of Consumption. -Cannot sort Storage Box. -Maggots become huge when their decay timer runs out. -Igniting a torch with low stamina ignites it after stamina regenerates.
We hope you had a great time with your New Year festivities and are now properly rested! π
We are revved up and moving ahead on Co-op at full speed.
Here is the screenshot of our QA Team in Co-op Mode:
Lately we've been seeing many questions about the upcoming cooperative mode: mainly about sleeping and co-op story mode.
Sleeping: When a player sleeps time will not speed up- energy will rise but much slower. Only when all Players lay down at the same time, the time will speed up to the timing you're familiar with from singleplayer.
Sandbox Survival mode is the only mode that will have cooperative gameplay. The overall balance to that mode will be adjusted so that the game is sufficiently challenging to engage all players.

This weekend the team attended SGC 2019 in Ljubljana and we won the award for Best Indie Game of 2019.
Our next Update is almost ready and it includes controller support. We just have to make sure there are no controller related bugs and add proper hints translations. Turkish Language is currently being worked on and we hope it will be ready and added with the Expanded Shelters Update.
Our Expanded Shelters update is currently undergoing testing by our QA Team.
CO-OP Mode is still in the hands of our programmers & animators. Simple actions are properly animated (so no T-Pose βΉ) We are currently on time for our internal schedule for CO-OP!!
