Now through July 21st, complete in-game tasks within the time limit to unlock exclusive goodies!



Q: Do I have to complete the challenges on consecutive days?

Only the Xbox Live challenges can be completed *any* day before the end of the event!

This means that you will need to play at least five different days to complete all of the challenges.[/expand]

Q: Do I get to keep all of the event unlocks?
[expand type=showmore]All you need to do is log into your Xbox Live account before the end of the event to keep all of the profile icons and mods you unlock; it's as easy as that![/expand]
Q: What do I do if I accidentally unsubscribe from a special mod?
[expand type=showmore]No problem! All you need to do is click your Profile Icon on the main menu, select Event Mods (under Collection), and then check the unlocked event mod you want to enable![/expand]
Q: How do I change my profile icon?
[expand type=showmore]You can update your profile icon in your profile:

1. On the main menu, click the Profile Icon next to your name.
2. You should now be in the Profile Icons tab under Collections.
3. Select your favorite icon, then click the Select Icon button to lock in your choice.
4. You're done!

Today's hotfix fixes a bug to Regicide game mode, where the player was unable to Garrison their King in buildings. This bug has been fixed and Kings can now garrison in buildings again as expected.

After a month of action, the Battle of Africa 3 tournament is coming to an exciting end! Out of forty teams, only four remain to battle it out for a chance at the crown: Aftermath, GamerLegion, Suomi, and Los Machos.

Recently, Battle of Africa has become one of the biggest team game events in Age of Empires II. Its trademarks include a unique 3v3 format plus a diverse set of maps which often leads to unpredictable, strategy-driven gameplay.


The team was formed just before Battle of Africa 1. Consisting of some of the best players in the World, their goal was to challenge the dominance of the “TyRanTs” who had been reigning for the last few years. After a dominant performance in the group stage, the team lost the final to their rivals in Battle of Africa 1 but found their redemption in an grueling 5-4 win in the final of Battle of Africa 2. In the current edition of the tournament, the team looks to be in terrifying shape. Aftermath has not yet lost a single game.

The legendary team, formerly known as TyRanT and Team Secret won the first Battle of Africa tournament and lost in the final of the second edition. Now the squad is looking to reclaim their title and prove once more that they're the best team in the world. Similar to their main rivals, the team has been increasing the pace as the tournament progresses and looks to be in top shape.


When it comes to team games “the Finns” were always known for their great strategies and fantastic coordination. In the last several years the team has constantly found a spot in the top four, and many think it is now the time Suomi claims the biggest team games title.


The two Brazilians, dogao and miguel, are one of the most successful duos in Age of Empires II history. Nations Cup winners with Brazil, they have performed well together in different events over the years. When it comes to Battle of Africa tournaments, they are always looking for their best partner in crime. This year this is GamerLegion`s Slam. With their performance so far “Los Machos” look to have found the right formula.

With four very strong contenders remaining, this weekend will be action-packed! You can catch the Battle of Africa 3 semifinals and the grand final Saturday and Sunday live 15:00 GMT.
