Cliff Empire - Lions Shade

Steam Workshop support (remaster version only) is already here.
The game's save system is very sensitive to the subscription order from Workshop, the list is filled in the order of subscriptions and has a limit of 27 additional slots. Changing the order in the list may damage your saves.

List of changes in both versions:
  • The minimum price for water, food and matter has been increased from 3 to 5.
  • Printed goods from specialized salon-shops stores can now also be delivered to the warehouse. But the building can also accumulate goods and it will be taken into account in the general consumption statistics.
  • Fixed a bug where the underground warehouse was still stolen by marauders.
  • Fixed a bug that stopped the construction of some large structures (especially dams)
  • Fixed a bug where slots were not restored after demolishing buildings in the orbital station in free build mode.
  • Interaction with Steam has been rewritten to support the Workshop.
  • Additional optimization performed.
  • Minor fixes in the interface.

Remaster version:
  • Introduced functionality to support Steam Workshop.
  • I have published three public buildings in Workshop.

Cards and badges are now available! A small update is also released…

In both versions:
  • Added indication of approaching a new event.
  • Added support for rendering multithreading. (more efficient use of CPU / GPU is especially noticeable for the remaster version)
  • Fixed a bug where lower level drones were still bringing uranium and debris to the portal / bridge / shuttle.

Remaster version:
  • The light from the fires is now working properly.
  • Manual lighting adjustment now has a sky brightness setting.
  • Fixed a bug where the backlight of the construction and lighting of buildings was not displayed under water.

Made small balance changes for the middle and late stages of the game.
The parameters of the residential skyscraper have been raised so that it can better compete with modular housing with 8 levels.
Also good news is that cards and badges will be available soon.

In both versions:
  • Added replacement function for modular buildings.
  • Growing fruit in one cycle increased from 15 to 17.
  • The capacity of residential skyscrapers increased from 250 to 270, aesthetics increased from 4 to 5.
  • The capacity of modular housing units has been reduced from 26 to 25, energy consumption has been increased from 4 to 5.
  • Fixed a bug when positioning buildings on wall-mounted wind turbines built on cliff extensions.
  • Fixed weather effects in screensavers.
  • Potentially fixed bug that caused asteroids to accumulate in orbit, which significantly slowed down the game.
  • The attack of looters in the normal mode is much weaker at the initial levels of development of the city, and depends better on the level of city growth.

Remaster version:
  • The maximum size of the interface in the settings is slightly reduced. (to avoid the interface going beyond the screen)
  • Depth of Field effect returned to settings. (disabled by default)
  • Tone of night windows fixed (was too blue)
  • Shadow quality improved. (as it turned out the best shadows quality was low resolution)
  • SSGI exposure to lighting is reduced by 25%, not so bright shadow side during the day.
  • The overall post processing has been slightly modified to make the image a bit cooler.
  • SSR now also reflects reflections on water and glass.
  • Minor graphics fixes.

  • Fixed weather effects.
  • Fires no longer occur when natural disasters are turned off.

Remaster version:
  • Fixed trading portal effects.
  • Fixed bug where Motion blur did not turn off.
  • Fixed bug when UI size settings were reset every time you run a game.

However, I decided not to make new graphics as a separate release or DLC, but make it as the main version, because it will be hard to support both versions in parallel...
At first it seemed that the framerate would be low, but still, the most hard effects can be disabled in settings and then everything seems to work quite quickly.
  • Completely updated graphics core, reconfigured lighting, effects.
  • Added a new TAA antialiasing method. Works poorly in dynamics, but for static scenes - the best.
  • Made a number of small optimizations...
  • 3D tv output support is gone.
  • You can choose remastered or classic game version when start.
  • Mods from older version will not work here. It must be resaved in HDRP.
