Halloween is just around the corner, bringing with it some spectacularly spooky days in Taborea!
At this time of year, the barriers between the worlds of the living and the dead become blurred, allowing creatures to pass betwixt the two. Be prepared to meet ghosts, witches and crazed pumpkins, not to mention the undead, risen from their graves...

Trick OR treat? Why not have both! Trick those wild pumpkins, monsters and demons and you'll pick up some sweet treats:

• Between October 26th at 00:00 AM server local time and October 30th at 11:59 PM server local time you will gain +100% Experience from quests and mobs, +250% talent points from mobs, and a +100% boost in drop rates.
  
• Between October 31st at 00:05 AM server local time and November 4th at 11:59 PM server local time you will gain + 200% Experience from quests and mobs, +500% talent points from mobs, and a +200% boost in drop rates.

Please note that between the two phases of the boost event, there will be a few minutes when no boost is active.




Ghosts and demons will be trying to use this witching season to escape from the realm of the dead. In their attempts to contact you on this side of the void, you'll find some enticing items winging their way into your mailboxes over the coming days.

We have a surprise in store for you every day between October 26th and November 4th, and you can look forward to various useful items to help you on your adventures. If you have multiple characters on your account, the presents will land in the mailbox of the first character you log in with. Even if you miss a day during this period, it won't have any effect on the remaining presents.




The boundaries between the realm of the dead and the world of the living start to blur during the infamous Pumpkin Festival! Creepy figures sharpen their claws and descend upon Taborea to haunt the inhabitants and spread fear and chaos.

The spirits from the other side have cast spells on the creatures in certain regions. They’ve even possessed the bodies of various famous residents of Varanas City and are using them as envoys of the land of the dead. Do you have the courage necessary to take on these phantoms?

What do I need to do?

During the event between October 30th (08:00 AM) until November 6th (08:00 AM), it’ll be your task to round up your friends and allies or head out on the adventure alone. Visit these dangerous locations, defeat the monsters and exchange the coins you gather in loot for special prizes.

All monsters in the zones listed below will be carrying the special Coin of Earth (7 Days). Defeat them, collect the coins and visit the Central Plaza in Varanas City (Channel 1) – Owenstein, Hilary, Frank and Eve will be waiting for you there to exchange them for valuable rewards. When the Eye of Wisdom first came to Candara, the land was very underdeveloped. There was a great shortage of lumber, a farmer used a pumpkin to carve a mask like these and then when he put a candle inside, it seemed to come to life.

When the leaders at the Eye of Wisdom heard of this, they marked this day as a day of celebration so that the people could take a rest before the hard winter. Everyone put on these pumpkin masks and gathered to enjoy a friendly chat and some delicious pumpkin dishes. Later, children would put on these masks and dress up as monsters then visit their neighbor's houses to ask for candy.

First it was only the game of a few children, but over time a custom developed and now the day is set in the calendar as Pumpkin Festival. Children still dress as monsters and ask everyone for candy or try to scare them. And they shout: 'Trick or Treat!'

The Taborean Academy is once again opening its gates to all the youngsters of Taborea, who are willing to join the ranks of the adventurers! You will yet again face fearsome monsters and unknown dangers. But worry not, as experienced instructors from the Taborean Academy will be there to guide you!

Between October 5th 00:00 AM (server time) and October 7th 11:59 PM (server time), there will be an experience and talent point event! During this period, all experience gained from quests and combat will be increased by 100% while talent points gained from combat will be increased by 250%.

Once there was a traveling bard called Aylit. When passing through towns and villages he would tell his friends all kinds of interesting stories which happened on his journeys.
One day, he met Falbala, the beautiful but sad daughter of a nobleman. To make her smile, Aylit would often tell her some made-up stories, and he noticed that bit-by-bit they had an effect on the girl.
Encouraged by Falbala, he began to tell the people all kinds of stories, and they spread and became very popular. The story-lines and their conclusions became topics the people discussed in their leisure time.
The Phirius merchants trade collections of these stories and each year choose a special subject to start a fairy tale event. To enter the city during that time would mean to be in the same fairy tale dreamland together with everyone else.

The summer’s here! As well as basking in the beautiful weather in Taborea, we’re celebrating the dawn of a new era: Runes of Magic is now available on the world’s most popular gaming platform Steam!

In honor of the occasion, we’re kicking off two linked events which should interest stalwart veterans and fresh newcomers alike.

Both novices and experts alike sometimes need a little help on their adventures in Taborea. The three grand masters of experience, skills and treasure hunters will welcome all heroes who need a helping hand.

Visit the three grand masters between August 29th (after the maintenance) and September 11th (until 9:00 AM) on the Varanas Central Plaza (Channel 1) and enjoy some useful buffs whose effects last for two hours each day.


During the event from August 29th (9:00 AM server local time) to September 11th (9:00 AM server local time), rally your friends and guild mates together and defeat the bosses from the instances listed below. This will give you a chance to collect the hotly contested “Proofs of Myth”!

Just remember that each boss only carries a certain number of Proofs, irrespective of how many fighters defeat them.

Certain bosses in the following instances are carrying the reward with them:

• Sydaphex in the Hall of Survivors
• Sirloth in the Hall of the Demon Lord
• Hidden Box (of Horatio Tia) in Sardo Castle
• Jenny Giant in the Tomb of the Seven Heroes (Hard)

In addition to these instances, you’ll also find bosses in the Ancient Dreamland during the event which will reward you with an additional Coin of Petals (7 Days) for each boss defeated.

Head to the Varanas Central Plaza (Channel 1), where once per day Owenstein will exchange the coins found in the instance for more Proofs of Myth. Go and pay him a visit!
