Hey Stalkers! We want to thank everyone who participated in our recent fanart contest. We got some really amazing entries. :) You are all incredibly talented!! We will be contacting the winners about their prize. You can see them here as well as the names and backstories some of their creators have given them. If you are the artist behind any of these, feel free to reply to this thread or the one in the official forums! You can include your artstation or website link as well. Behold!
One Eyed Zoe
Truk
Created by Ryan. You can see their incredible gallery here
Here's a taste of it: During his travel through the wastes, Preem found a peculiar device - the Sony Walkman. A machine that spoke to him and weaved stories from nothingness. He kept it secret, listening it every night for comfort and scouring through junk on the regular for the metallic AA tubes that refilled its whispers.
Dux
Created by Henry
Peanut
This drawing and backstory was created by Björn. You can read her detailed backstory here which includes how she got her name. Here’s a great sample: In the open she used her sensitive hearing to localize others and realized she made a hell of a noise limping through the terrain. She learned that the hard way as someone spotted her and shot off a piece of her ear and tusk, barely making it out alive. She solved it by wearing a wooden shoe which has the right height to even out the length difference and thus making her basically soundless moving around.

Welcome Stalkers, to your new testing grounds!
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is expanding with the release of Stalker Trials. This separate challenge mode rolls out in a free update and will truly put your skills as a Mutant Stalker to the test.
All you need to do to access this new content is to patch the game to the latest version. Then you'll find the Stalker Trials in the main menu.
The game’s maps will be re-populated with different types of enemies to create new challenges for you and your chosen team. All characters, mutations and skills will be available at your fingertips, but you need to buy and upgrade any weapons and armor you think you’ll need.
Out in the Zone, Pripp the bartender will be waiting for you. He’s the brains behind the Stalker Trials, having set up the series of challenges for Dux, Bormin and the rest. As you fight your way through an area, Pripp will score you on your progress and performance, and you’ll be rewarded with extra points and multipliers by performing certain actions, like not taking damage, or killing an enemy with an Overwatch attack.
Your progress will be registered on leaderboards, and the weekly and all-time top players will have an NPC named after them for other players to take down.
Keep watching this space, as there is more to come down the line. We’re not quite ready to talk about it just yet, but we think you’ll like what we’ve got in the pipeline.

Greetings mutants and stalkers!
Today we are incredibly excited to announce that Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is expanding with the addition of Stalker Trials, a challenge mode that will truly put your skills to the test. We’re re-populating the game’s maps with different types of enemies to create new challenges for you and your chosen team of stalkers.
We’ll be rolling out the Stalker Trials on PC in a free update next week, on February 26th, so mark your calendars and get ready to gear up! Consoles will get this update at a later date.
Sneak and fight to impress Pripp
The Stalker Trials give you access to all characters, with all mutations and skills unlocked, but you will have to buy and upgrade your weapons and armor before heading out. Once you’re satisfied with your loadout you can journey into the Zone and link up with Pripp, the bartender. He’s the brains behind the Stalker Trials, and will score you on your progress as you fight your way through an area. Your rewards will be new items and equipment that you can either use on a new map, or sett at Iridia’s shop.
Your progress will be noted down on the in-game leaderboards and the weekly and all-time top Stalker will have an NPC named after them for other players to take down. Pripp will also reward you with extra points if you clear a map in certain ways, for example by not taking damage or not using explosives.

During the time since launch we’ve been working on fixing bugs and issues with the game. Several of those fixes will come out alongside the Stalker Trials, on February 26. We will also continue to roll out additional patches as needed.
Keep watching this space. We’ve got even more stuff coming down the line, but we’re not quite ready to talk about that just yet.

Personality goes a long way with games. Just an ounce of it can elevate a game from the crowd. And Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden has heaps of it.
This post-apocalyptic adventure is X-Com with a dash of stealth and exploration. It's based on a decades old tabletop game simply called Mutant which was itself rebooted into Mutant Year Zero a few years ago. It's very popular in Sweden, where the game's creators Bearded Ladies, hail from. While it provided the world Road to Eden would live in, this adaptation leans on one particularly potent characteristic of the tabletop game. One thing that just stands out immediately. The X-Com trappings are as solid a foundation as you can get but it's the world and the characters that held my attention. Because there's no getting round it, the first thing you're going to notice, the first thing everybody is gonna want to talk about with this game is the badass duck man.
We have been working very hard to fix as many issues as possible for this patch. However, we are still fighting with the pre-Ryzen AMD processor audio issues – this is what has delayed the release of 1.3.
We believe that we were able to improve this a great deal in the last patch and were hoping to remove all symptoms with the new patch. Unfortunately the issues are caused by something unrelated to the game itself. We will however continue to chip away at the issue as best we can.
As we want to make sure we get meaningful fixes out to as many of you as possible, we're pushing out the next patch to the main branch. If those of you with pre-Ryzen AMD processors still have issues, you can drop back to the ‘amd_test’ branch (password ‘HKS73903BBSnwee3D’) in the meantime. We will continue to work through reported issues and very soon we will move on to feedback/suggestions.
Thanks a lot for your patience and help! We love you guys! /Mark (TBLC)

Fix for cutscene and inventory freezes on certain Older AMD Processors.
Fix for crash on boot for certain save games.
'QA Has Suffered' Achievement should now unlock correctly.
Fix for user stuck in combat without enemies in the Castle of Light.
OTHER FIXES
Issues with heroes getting stuck in some covers.

Localized key binding text functional.

We have a fix for most users affected by the pre-Ryzen AMD Inventory and Cutscene freezes. An interim patch was posted on Friday which seems to fix the issues for 95% of affected users. As this has been well received we shall also patch today for everybody on the 'Default' branch.
Expect a new patch on Wednesday with more fixes, details to be announced then.
We would suggest that those of you using the 'AMD_test' branch should return to the 'Default' branch when the Wednesday patch goes live.
We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank all you so much for your patience.
