Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Natascha
Hello stalkers!

We have a fix for most users affected by the pre-Ryzen AMD Inventory and Cutscene freezes. An interim patch was posted on Friday which seems to fix the issues for 95% of affected users. As this has been well received we shall also patch today for everybody on the 'Default' branch.

Expect a new patch on Wednesday with more fixes, details to be announced then.

We would suggest that those of you using the 'AMD_test' branch should return to the 'Default' branch when the Wednesday patch goes live.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank all you so much for your patience.

Thank you from Funcom and TBLC.

Hello Stalkers!

Thanks for the support so far and much ❤
You guys are really great, so many offers of help these last few days!

Unfortunately we aren't quite there yet with a fix for the freezes on older AMD Processors.

This issue is a root problem with the trifecta of the processor, engine and windows. We have fixed the issue with the game freezing during the cabin cut and the alt-tab issue and the game will no longer lock up completely in the inventory, however the audio stutter can manifest in the inventory.

So what we will do for the time being is give out this password for a beta branch we added *HKS73903BBSnwee3D*, at their own risk affected users can download this branch and play the game (saves and settings should all work). NOTE. Keep the volume sliders to Max.

We'd rather not put out a global patch until we are 100% happy with it otherwise we're forcing users to download a hefty patch to be followed by a second very soon.

We hope that will help at least some of you this weekend, a solid patch will be delivered early next week.

Thanks!

Hello Stalkers!

We imagine hunting for scraps and finding artifacts is a full time job but do you also spend time creating content or do you like to stream?

Then this opportunity might wet your appetite:
We are launching the MYZ Influencer Revenue share program!

How it works
Go to https://influencers.mutantyearzero.com/ and sign up with either your Twitch, Mixer, Twitter or YouTube account. Once you are logged in with one of the above, you can connect the additional ones.

After you’ve connected all your channels, you’ll see the programs that are available to you according to your followers/subscriber counts on the different channels.

How to earn revenue
Once you click “join program” you will see a details page. It tells you how much the revenue share is, when the program started and when it ends.

Under “Landing Page” you will see a Tracking link you can copy. This is your personal influencer link. Add this somewhere prominent on your channel page like in your panel section. It’s also a good idea to add it to your chat area as command or any other location you see fit. Whenever someone buys the game through your link, you’ll get a revenue share from that sale.

Note that the game version in your influencer link is only for the PC/Steam version.

"The odds are against us, yeah. But we're brave, we kick ass, and we don't have heads like moldy muffins!" - Farrow

She might look like a cute little heartbreaker, but she's no sweet little love maker.  Meet the foxy vixen, Farrow!

Farrow is one of the recruitable characters you'll encounter during your expeditions in The Zone.  When you find her, you may notice that while she's clearly a combat-ready Stalker, she ain't quite from around here; in fact, she's not even originally from the Ark!

Her true origins are a mystery - even to her.  All she knows is her name's Farrow, and she's a product of the Zone.  She thought her settlement was the only place left in the whole world...

Well, until she met you.

You'll initially discover Farrow in what people call the Metal Fields; there, you'll be greeted by a mob of Polis-Bots itching to dispense "justice".  Well probably anyway, if robots could feel.  Or itch.

Specializing in stealth and assassination, Farrow comes equipped with skills and gear that make her adept at quickly and quietly dispatching her foes.  Her signature ability, Silent Assassin, doubles her critical strike chance against enemies while she's hidden! This makes her particularly valuable for initiating combat out of stealth, such as when picking off stragglers.

Combine Silent Assassin with items and boosts that further increase crit chance for fantastic results:

Other choices allow Farrow to remain hidden while moving between cover, and later she can mutate to possess extreme mobility, able to leap great distances or effortlessly gain high ground advantages.

"Give up now an' I'll go easy on ya!"

Let's take a closer look at what Farrow's cookin' with:

FARROW'S MUTATIONS
NAME
DESCRIPTION
ICON
Circuit Breaker
You have the ability to instantly identify and disable critical functioning parts of a mechanical enemy. Once shot they will be disabled for 1 turn.
Sneak
The years of creeping around the Zone have paid off, your cat-like senses have made you supremely aware of your surroundings, giving you the ability to pass by others (mostly) unnoticed.
Silent Assassin
(Passive)
Like the dome-headed assassins of the past, you are able to do great damage whilst hidden from your target. That's as long as you hit... Man.
Gunslinger
Your hand-to-eye coordination is improved considerably, which gives you the ability to shoot multiple targets at once whilst using only 1 AP.
Corpse Eater
Your metabolism is now abnormally robust, as well as your jaws and teeth. You can eat any type of fresh raw meat to replenish your health. Gross but also strangely satisfying!
Moth Wings
You have the ability to grow wings on your back. This enables you to move vertically and hover in position. Giving you a tactical advantage over enemies beneath you. This also allows you to get to high places which would normally be out of reach.
Frog legs
With your powerful, frog-like leg muscles you can perform super-mutant leaps to cover great distances. Useful if you are cornered by your enemies!
Super Tendons
(Passive)
Your leg tendons have become mutated, making them thicker and stronger. You are now able to move or sprint to high places freely and without the use of a ladder.

Important gameplay note: You can only equip one Minor (Square), one Major (Hexagon), and one Passive (Circle) mutation at a time!

Now, Let's take a quick look at her passive stat mutations:

STAT BOOSTS
NAME
DESCRIPTION
ICON
Health Booster
By beefing-up the physical functions of your body you can permanently increase your maximum health by an additional 1/2/3 HP.
Critical Booster
Permanently increases the chance of inflicting critical damage by 10/20%.

Farrow is the only Stalker capable of increasing their innate critical strike rate. Stat boosts are ALWAYS ACTIVE as long as you've put points into them; you don't have to "equip" the bonuses like you would with other mutations.

As you can see, Farrow's all about leaving busted heads and broken hearts left in her wake.

How will you utilize Farrow?  We'd love to hear how she fits into your playstyle when Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches on December 4th.

Alright Stalkers, that's all for now.  We'll see you in the Zone real soon.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Jens Erik (Community Manager)

The most important thing to keep in mind about Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is that you can’t just run up to a group of enemies, take them on, and expect to come out of the encounter alive.

Doing this means you will be crushed. Over and over and over again. Instead you must learn to use stealth and plan your major attack in detail.

The tactical combat follows many of the rules from similar games (like XCOM) – you have two actions per round, shooting ends your turn, you can learn special abilities, you can overwatch etc – but there are many other factors you must keep in mind.

Read more about the tactics of MYZ: Road to Eden on our blog.
