Today we have another video that shows off and gives a deeper look at the world that Sable exists in. With this one, we take a look at masks and why they are an essential part of life and what it means to go on a Gliding as well as how to earn badges to get masks.
We have been working on a short series of videos that delve deep into the world of Sable and this one is about the Bikes of Midden. We hope you enjoy it.
Sable is taking part in The Indie Houses Direct which kicks off today and as part of that, we are reactivating the demo. So if you missed out on the first round of the demo, or if you want to play it again - now is the time! The demo will run until 7 September.
Please note no changes have been made to the demo - it is exactly the same as it was when it was first live.
Also, we have created some lovely Sable wallpapers for both your phone and your desktop. So, if you want to carry a piece of Sable with you - get your free wallpaper here: Sable Wallpapers we hope you enjoy them!
The Sable soundtrack is a very special part of Sable and Japanese Breakfast has created a magical accompaniment to the game which we are very excited for you all to hear. And while we have given you little glimpses of its wonder in our trailers - this is just a glimpse and there is lots more wonder to come.
Today we are happy to let you know that the lead single for the soundtrack ‘Glider’ is available to stream. All of your listening options can be found here: Glider stream links
The Sable soundtrack features instrumental and vocal music written by Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner. Re the soundtrack Japanese Breakfast said:
“I was so lucky Daniel Fineberg and Gregorios Kythreotis from Shedworks invited me onto this game so early on. I was immediately captivated by the world they’d built, a desert planet filled with mysterious natural and architectural wonders, and the story they’d imagined, one of a young girl coming of age through exploration. It was important to me that each biome in this world felt unique. I used woodwinds and vocal layering to make monumental ruins feel ancient and unknown, industrial samples and soft synths to make atomic ships feel cold and metallic, classical guitar and bright piano to make encampments feel cozy and familiar. I wanted the main themes to recall iconic works of Joe Hisaishi and Alan Menken, to fill the listener with the childlike wonder of someone on the precipice of a grand discovery."
The revealed track list is here:

We are so excited to have worked with Japanese Breakfast on the soundtrack. The heartfelt music fits Sable’s journey perfectly. Let us know what you think of Glider in the comments.
The countdown officially begins now! It is exactly one month from launch and we are very excited for you all to finally get to play the full game.
So much is going on behind the scenes, including some very exciting videos showing off some of the world of Sable and how it works (which we will be sharing very soon!).
And talking of lovely videos here is our latest trailer that we released earlier this summer. We hope you like it and that it gets you even more excited for the game.
We wanted to let you all know that we’ll be deactivating the Sable demo on Monday July 5 at 9am CEST, meaning it will no longer be discoverable or available to download and install from then.
However! If you’ve already downloaded and installed the demo you’ll be able to keep it in your catalogue. Which of course also means you can keep playing it, yay!
There’s a caveat to that: in order to keep it, you will need to make sure to update your installed Sable demo to the latest version before Monday. The update is available to apply right now.
To close; a note from Greg:
It's been amazing seeing the response to the demo, we're really happy that you got to have a better sense of what we're trying to do with Sable and hope you're looking forward to playing the full game! We have a lot to get on with now, thank you so much for all the feedback, bug reports and kind words. See you in September!
In celebration of the Steam Next Fest and the release of the Sable Demo, our Quality Producer Elisabeth will guide you through the beginning moments of Sable's journey.
We hope you enjoy the Sable demo - please stay tuned for the full release on September 23rd!
It’s been amazing and completely overwhelming seeing people play the demo, hearing your thoughts and getting feedback! The game is still a work in progress and we know there are some things that need ironing out for launch.
Having said that, we decided to push a hotfix for PC based on what we knew we could fix before Steam Next Fest ended. We have updated the following:
Added a 60 fps option
Camera sensitivity sliders now work in settings
Mouse cursor is restricted to game window
Fixed an issue that prevented players from exiting the cartographer’s shop menu. You should now be able to close it with Backspace on your keyboard, or the B button if you’re using a controller
The pause menu now shows the correct keyboard prompt to close the screen
We are aware that there are other issues to address and fix - the aim is to get these sorted by release of the full game. The more work we do on the demo, the less time we have to work on the full release so at some point we have to shift focus.
This doesn’t mean we aren’t still interested in feedback you have on the demo. If you encounter any bugs we would really appreciate it if you submitted them to Raw Fury using this link: https://rawfury.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1
A final note - if you get stuck in geometry, lose your bike or get lost, once you have visited the camp you can go into the map screen and fast travel to the camp from anywhere.
