The thing is, none of those poor souls were bold enough or emotionally strong enough to stand up to the challenge. If they weren’t killed by the creations of The Great One, they ended up with a psychotic break and went straight to the mental hospital.



What I wanted to show you today are the sketches made by some of them. Their broken minds felt the need to get the horror of what they’d seen out of their system by materializing it in the form of drawings. Some of them were left at Green Creek, whereas others were brought to me by the relatives of the curious deceased.

I can’t say for sure, Mr. Investigator, that all of those sketches are grounded in reality, as they could be mere projections of twisted minds, but they could be as true as all of the rumors surrounding the hauntings. It could be that The Developer has summoned even deadlier creatures than the drawings would suggest. Nevertheless, be careful on your journey, as I am slowly starting to believe in your success.

There was once a human ritual which encouraged young woman to walk up stairs backwards while holding a candle in one hand and a mirror in the other. It is said that by doing so, they could see a glimpse of their future husband's face in the reflection. Alas, sometimes the woman saw the face of death in the mirror, and have died in the process, before they could ever meet their future love.

Bloody Mary herself had shared this fate and now, when you chant her name three times while looking into the mirror, she appears as a corpse or a ghost. She can be benign, but she can also be very deadly and seen covered in blood. Many humans who have tried to contact her ended up strangled or even soulless.



Perhaps the Great One didn't summon Bloody Mary to Green Creek, but as gruesome folklore, it has surely served as an inspiration for creating this otherworldly area full of wicked apparitions. Who knows, maybe one day he'll bring her there to haunt women that try to pass through that cursed place?

There have been rumors spreading around the city about the investigator who has been trying to document all the weird and abnormal things going on in Green Creek. And I’ve seen you a couple of times here before, buying some expensive cameras and whatnot. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that you’re the one on a mission to capture some evidence on the apparitions which haunt that place.



No, no, no - it doesn't bother me at all. Don’t misunderstand me - I envy your courage! I'm quite interested in all paranormal activities, but I'm not brave enough to go to Green Creek myself. You can call me a theorist. I read all the articles on unnatural phenomena I can get my hands on!

Oh, and you know what? Just thinking about your work totally reminds me of those "found footage" horror movies. You can find creepy villas, possessed houses and mansions full of specters, ghosts and the undead in many legends and tales of horror throughout the ages. Ah, of course, brave investigator, coming from the land of man, you are familiar with moving pictures and it's these records, converted from well-known chronicles, which have served to influence the Developer in his creations.



You may be familiar with the historical account of Poltergeist, from 1982. The concept for the overall atmosphere of Green Creek was based upon this story. You want to go deeper, you say? Indeed. You should try 13 Ghosts from 1960 or perhaps The Hunting of 1963, which has come from the creepy written chronicles of Shirley Jackson. The Amityville Horror may peak your interest, as it is quite a recent tale, or something newer like Ju-On: The Grudge. And lastly, Crimson Peak, a tale woven in an elaborate design, fares like a love letter to classic haunted mansion stories.

Have you ever heard about The Slenderman? That's one of the mythical apparitions that served as an inspiration for Mr. Ciastku's realm-bending creative process. It is said that there exists a very tall and slim being without a face who manifests in various places and stalks the weak. You can spot him in many historical photographs lurking in the background with his ominous blank face. Waiting. Traumatizing people. Especially children.



If you notice someone similar in presence or behaviour, just don't look at him. Slenderman despises anyone who stares at his featureless face and he begins to haunt that person. And as you can imagine – direct contact means death.

Oh, brave investigator! Do you remember my story about the mythical creator, the divine power, who made the Golden Creek as terryfing as it is? He is the one, in the books of old, called The Great One or MrCiastku. Aah, you do remember. There's one ancient writing I didn't mention in my tale for it is shrouded in secrecy. However, you have proven yourself worthy of hearing this story. Your mind is open and you have a heart full of determination so you are presented with the wisdom granted to very few.

You see, perceptive one, this is not the only creation of The Great One. Two previous attempts had been made to turn his dark visions into reality, though both of them were turned back into dust when they hadn't met his gloomy expectations. The first world he founded was confined to a large house with a weird, grotesque and child-likeinterior. They were like those moving pictures the little ones love to follow on the television boxes and such. The person he put in there for testing purposes was given the ability to craft materials and weapons. He also had the soul of a brave warrior and confronted the demons in battle.

He didn't like it, as he had found it too greatly disconnected from our reality and his wish was to merge the creation with this world - as it was from the beginning of time.

Therefore, the second attempt of creation was much more realistic, dark and haunting. The new test subject was stripped of his abillity to craft maaterials, but The Great One allowed him to carry the Ouija board around the house. The Developer decided to make it the home for a particularly haunting ghost of a deceased woman who was able to kill "at first sight", quite similarily to Slender Man.
