Team17 Christmas livestream!
Join us live at 4pm GMT today for a Team17 Christmas Special livestream! We’ll be playing the Kevin’s Christmas Cracker update for Overcooked! 2 and The Escapists 2 ‘Snow Way Out’ update as well!
As you may know, The Game Awards are just around the corner and we’re extremely proud to announce that Overcooked! 2 has been nominated for Best Family Game!
As such, the development team at Ghost Town Games would appreciate your help. If you’ve enjoyed the frantic action of Overcooked! 2 and believe it deserves to win against some stiff competition, head over to The Game Awards’ website and cast your vote!
The voting system works whereby you can vote every 24 hours up until the event on December 6th, with sharing your vote on social media, via the website, increasing the weight of each vote you make. So if you want Overcooked! 2 to win, please share where you can.
We appreciate all of your continued support and most importantly, thank you.
Have you ever wondered what Overcooked! 2 looked like before it was fully cooked and ready to serve?
Today, to celebrate both ‘Blocktober’ and ‘Inktober’, we’d like to share some in-development footage and concept art with you!
First up, it’s the iconic Overcooked! 2 food truck! It started with some blocks, then we added our artistic touch, and hey presto! One shiny yellow main menu food truck!
What about that colourful world map that you drive your food truck round? Here’s some concept art created before it went into the game!
Did you know that your truck changes to take on the different terrain around the map? What’s your favourite part of the world map?
An important part of the prep for Overcooked! 2 was the story. The Onion King’s poor decision to raise The Unbread had to be drawn up and planned out on a storyboard before it could go into the game.
Here’s a snippet from the storyboard for that spooky opening cutscene featuring The Unbread!
And their final in-game form….
Last but not least, here’s a look at the concept for that crazy balloon level, which is one of the brand new dynamic kitchens in Overcooked! 2 that change on the fly!
That’s all for now. Let us know if you’d like to see more of the concept and development phase of Overcooked! 2 (including the brand new Surf ‘n’ Turf DLC) in the future!
If you haven't yet picked up Overcooked! 2, you can now save 20% on Steam - this weekend only! Overcooked! 2 is more of the Overcooked you know and love, but with added online multiplayer, new dynamic kitchens, lots of new chefs and the ability to throw ingredients. Throwing changes everything!
Just look at how excited the Onion King is about all of this - and the fact that you can now get it even cheaper for a limited time!
If you already own Overcooked! 2 but want to add some extra chefs to your roster, why not check out the Too Many Cooks pack, also 20% off this weekend!
You might have seen last week’s little teaser wondering how a beach, a pineapple and a water pistol fit into Overcooked! 2. Well, wonder no more, as today we’re excited to announce the very first piece of DLC for Overcooked! 2; Surf ‘n’ Turf!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb0ZdmmBUqU With 12 new campaign kitchens, three new chefs, two new Versus kitchens, a new hidden Kevin level, and new recipes for kebabs and smoothies, you’re pretty much guaranteed a great time at the beach! We’ve even added a water pistol that can be used not only to put out fires or push your fellow chefs around, but also to clean those dirty dishes!
Once you’ve played through and 3-starred all the kitchens, you’ll be able to jump into New Game+ and aim to 4-star Surf ‘n’ Turf as well, just like the main game. Oh, and we’ve also added brand new achievements for you to unlock.

We hope you’re all enjoying your time with Overcooked! 2 and want to thank you for your continued support as we keep improving the experience for beginner and veteran chefs alike. Rest assured that we’ve got a lot more coming to Overcooked! 2, and we can’t wait to share more news with you in the weeks and months to come.
Kevin is looking for some food .... And by food we mean, feedback for Overcooked! 2.
We're continuously improving Overcooked! 2 and would appreciate your feedback in our player survey. This gives you the opportunity to have your say on the future of Overcooked!
As part of the survey process, we like to reward survey participants with Team17 loot. At the end of the survey, there will be an option for you to enter a prize draw where you can be in with a chance to win one of three Team17 merch items!
The deadline to complete the survey is Tuesday, 2nd October at 17.00 BST. What type of questions are asked?
The main survey questions consist of 'Choose one option', or 'Tick all that apply' -type questions.
Each of the above types has an accompanying optional comment box.
Optional comment boxes Feel free to leave more feedback, or not. It's entirely up to you, but if there's something about the game you feel strongly about (positive or otherwise) you can use a comment box to tell us more. Otherwise, feel free to skip them.
Do you read the feedback we leave in the comment boxes?
We sure do! If you do decide to complete a comment box, be assured that we read every single comment. You have spent the time writing out your feedback, we will spend the time reading it, and taking notes.
What happens to the survey feedback I'm providing?
All data is stored and analysed on the Team17 Usability PCs. Data analyses will be passed on to the development team, and potentially used for game play improvements/changes. All your data remains anonymous, so if you decide to leave your email address for the prize draw, then this personal data is not passed on with the analyses. You can read the Team17 Privacy Policy HERE.
How long does the survey take to complete?
There are 32 questions in total. Most of them require you to check a box or boxes, with the rest of them being optional comment boxes. We're trying to be thorough by asking so many questions, but we also appreciate we might be taking up your precious time. Any help at all is appreciated.
I have more questions/the survey borked on me!
If you have any other questions or concerns about the survey, or the survey breaks/doesn't behave, please email and let us know - usability@team17.com
Thank you! We really appreciate you taking the time to complete our survey!
