Today we are excited to serve up a small but much requested update to your kitchens. You can now rebind your keys in the Steam version of the game. You can now chop, bake, and move with your own custom controls!

To rebind your controls:

• On the Main Menu select Settings
  
• Select Controls
  
• Select if you are player 1 or have split keyboard for 2 players.
  
• Then change your controls to what you want. (Some keys will not be available.)

If you encounter any issues, please let us know in the Report A Problem forum, so we can investigate!

We’ve cooked up a special treat for you, just in time for the weekend!
We’re excited to announce that the first content update for Overcooked! 2 is fresh out of the oven, and it includes New Game+!

Get ready to chop, mix, fry and bake your way to 4 Stars!

Here’s what’s on the menu:

• New Game + added (unlocks once all the story mode levels have been completed in Campaign)
  
• Added a couple of treats for players who complete New Game+
  
• Story mode: Chefs can now be changed through the pause menu when on the World Map
  
• Star boundaries for all levels are now displayed on the world map, loading screen, and the results screen
  
• Story mode: Levels now display a preview image on the World Map
  
• Updated description for “Dinner Party Posse” achievement text to specify Arcade mode.

With the release of PLANET ALPHA on 4th September 2018, Team17 will have released 100 games! Overcooked! 2 uses peer-to-peer networking so we suggest disabling VPNs whilst playing Overcooked! 2 online. This will ensure that the matchmaking system is able to pair you with local players to create a great online experience.

Hi chefs!

We've just updated Overcooked! 2 to include fixes for a couple of issues, that some of you have been experiencing, including chefs not unlocking for all players. Please find the patch notes below.

Patch notes:

• Fix for a softlock that occurred when loading into games
  
• Fix for clients not saving unlocked chefs in online games*
  
• Fix for lighting not displaying correctly in cutscenes and level 6-6

* Please note that this fix won't be available on OSX until tomorrow.

Some of the three-star chefs among you have told us you're looking for an even greater challenge, so we’re happy to tell you that we’re hard at work on a ‘New Game +’ mode. This will give you a reason to go back through all 45 levels and work to get 4 stars!

New Game+ will be coming soon and we'll be sharing more details as we get closer to its launch.

Hello Chefs!

We’re aiming to put out an update next week that will address some of the issues players have encountered, including a softlock crash and a bug which has caused the chef unlocks to only happen for the host of an online game. Fixing this softlock issue should also help with the players that have been having online disconnection issues as we believe this is linked to hosts experiencing softlocks.

We’ve also been tracking feedback about two issues:

Key rebinds: We’re seeing the demand loud and clear for the ability to change key bindings and we’ve begun work on implementing this into the game. It’s not going to happen immediately but it’s one of our top priorities and we’ll let you know when you can expect to see it in the game.

Player progress for campaign co-op: Due to the way save games currently work with each of the players joining a host, only the host of the online session retains progress so we’re looking into a redesign of the current system. Our aim is to make it so that all players will be able to share progress when playing as a group online. We’re already investigating the best route forward and will update the community as to when we expect to be able to integrate this into the game.

This Thursday: We’ve also teamed up with our friends at Yogscast for a special Overcooked! 2 event on Thursday 9th August. Running from 2pm – 5pm at Queen Square in Bristol, join Turps, Lewis, Sjin and the team for a live Overcooked! 2 challenge!

You’ll also get the chance to rub shoulders with royalty as the Onion King himself will be attending the event! And to add to the celebrations, we’ll be giving away a Nintendo Switch and two Team17 games to one lucky winner! All you have to do is snap a photo with the Onion King and share on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #Overcooked2 and #OnionKing any time on Thursday 9th August 2018– it’s that simple!

We’ll draw the winner on Monday 13th August and announce on Twitter that day.
