Sewers level design is complete, we're actually working on mission implementation and we'll have an ETA very soon, but meanwhile...

Join online sessions from main menu :drill_picklock:
Accessing a mission in order to use your tablet can be annoying if you just plan to join a friend session... Now your tablet can be reached at the start of the game and you we'll be able to join sessions without leaving main menu map.
While playing, you will also be able to change play mode (story/trial) without having to return to main map.



New weapons :gun_pistol:
Let's add some Russian and Israeli flavours:
- AK47, also known as the Kalashnikov, assault rifle equipped with 7.62×39mm rounds and 30 rounds magazines;
- MicroUzi, submachine gun equipped with .45 ACP rounds and extended 40 rounds magazines.



First boot wizard
We're adding more and more features and game options are quickly increasing. A new wizard will welcome new players and let them setup main games aspects.
You will be also able to interact/attach and use weapons and objects directly in main map.



New options :gas_jerrycan:
We also added a couple of advanced options:
- do you want to use another in game chat (eg. discord) while playing with your friends? now you can disable in game microphone!
- are you a gun-stock user? you can now disable input smoothing.

Sewers chapter development is going on, main level design is completed, we are going to polish it but meanwhile...

New body adjustment section in main menu
An entirely new section in options menu will let you:
- set virtual body vertical and horizontal offsets
- change body transparency (standard / semitransparent / hidden)
- change radio position (left/right shoulder or left/right hip)
You will be able to customize all your body: eg. totally hide it leaving only your hands visible or move holsters/pouches just in front of you.





Zeds sounds
Zeds are now chatty as they should be, their footsteps are louder when running and all their sounds are now correctly attenuated (e.g by walls)

Based on your feedback, we also released some tweaks and some important bug fixes - finally fixed a bug causing objects to fall through the floor occasionally!!.

Steam Cloud Saves
SURV1V3 savegames are now based on Steam Unique ID, so you can have multiple in game profiles on same pc.
We also implemented Steam Cloud saves: savegames are automatically replicated to the Steam servers after the game exits. If you change computers, the files are automatically downloaded to the new computer prior to the game launching.
Savegames are saved in base path subfolders, named with your steam unique id: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Survive/Saved/SaveGames/your steam id Old savegame will be automatically copied to the new savegame on first launch. No need to know it, but if you want to backup or move your savegames, you can find your Steam Id (steamID64) following this link https://steamidfinder.com/ (e.g. mine is 76561198201962052)

Steam Trading Cards
Steam Trading Cards are collectible cards you get by playing. By collecting the entire set of cards, you earn items that help you customize your profile and show off gameplay. You can learn more about trading cards here: http://steamcommunity.com/tradingcards/

Nightmare difficulty level
Face a new challenge: zombies are 15% tougher, 5% quicker, and 50% more vigilant than "No Future" difficulty level. A new set of achievements will prove your skills.

Prologue mission refactoring
We redesigned some graphics aspects and added a few zeds to give newbies a better welcome in Santa Carla.



New zombie sounds
New groans sounds: zeds have now different voices.

First of all, thanks for supporting SURV1V3. Community is growing fast and overall appreciation is greatly exceeding our original expectations.

So what we have here?

Big Bird, third and last Santa Carla trial
Have you ever dreamed of flying in a helicopter and of seeing Santa Carla from up high?
Don't want to spoil it, but we're sure you will love it.

PS: this is a little extreme and is not for the squeamish!
Please remember: if you are scared of heights, you can of course sit down and close your eyes 'till big bird has landed ;-)

Windows Mixed Reality support
WMR guys.... SURV1V3 is now fully compatible with your headsets.
Visual problems are solved and locomotion can be managed through thumbsticks (haptic feedbacks will be released in a future version).



Based on community feedback, we also released a number of new features, tweaks and bug fixes. Check full changelog below.

Starting from today we are fully committed on chapter 2 development.

- trials: new trial "Big Bird"
- system: porting to Windows Mixed Reality headsets
- controls: adding an option "assisted clip grip" (on by default) to automatically grab clips compatible with held weapon
Options can be changed in options panel > controls options > assisted clip grip > "on" / "realistic" options.
- weapons: player can attach up to 3 secondary weapon clips
- weapons: faster weapon reloading (removing delay, after dropping mag, before the weapon can accept a new mag)
- weapons: weapon fire burst mode is off (single fire) by default
- gameplay: fall damage is here
- sounds: overall sound spatialization tweaks (higher attenuation for zombie, lower attenuation for players voices)
- last garden trial: players can now exit garden area
- santa carla map: weapons will respawn at mission start location
- ai: zombies movement enhancements
- tablet: not-so-clear label "change mode" has been swapped for "back to menu"
- graphics: new low health effect (brighter + red tint)

Fixed bugs:
- gameplay: interior objects can now be gripped
- multiplayer: realistic weapons sound setting now affect all local players
- sounds: breathing sound stops after medication
- sounds: breathing sound stops when player dies
- gameplay: fixed exploit in Last Garden and Hell Street trials where you could move the boxes form the safe rooms across the doorway preventing Zeds from entering

- gameplay: "Hell Street" trial + 2 new achievements
- gameplay: increased locomotion jog/sprint stats
Jog speed increased by 15%, sprint speed increased by 7.5%, sprint duration increased by 200%.
- controls: adding options to move with trackpad/thumbstick ignoring controller yaw and using only HMD yaw
Set it in options panel > movements options > locomotion type > "Pad/Stick+HMD" option.
- controls: options to toggle standing/seated play area
Set seated play mode in options panel > movements options > playing position > "Sitting" option. You will be asked to set also sitting offset to match seated position with your vr body. While playing in seated mode, touch Vive trackpad in center area / press Rift stick in center position to toggle crouch.
- controls: release clips also with menu button (Vive) / B or Y button (Rift)
This features will let you release weapon magazine also with your non-dominant hand! Menu button (Vive) / B or Y button (Rift) can be used to: - release clip > quickly press button - toggle controller locomotion/weapon mode > hold for 1 second
- controls: to reduce motion sickness, default locomotion setting has been changed: player will start jog going full speed.
DEFAULT SETTING has been CHANGED. If you prefer old gradual acceleration mode, reset it in options panel > movements options > acceleration > "Realistic".
- weapons: explosive bullets area damage
Explosive bullets area damage has been implemented: you can now hit more than one zed with a single shoot.
- controls: weapon secondary grip auto-detach area has been increased by 50%
Many users were reporting non intended secondary grip loss, new setting is a lot more permissive.
- graphics: bullet hit decals
This is still in beta, many other bullet hole types will be added in the future.
- options: options menu contextual help
Added a lot of options so far, some contextual help may be required...

Fixed bugs:
- weapons: fixed underbarrel laser wrong aim offset
- weapons: fixed XM8 unrealistic bloom effect
- weapons: aiming with 2 handed weapons is smoother
- options: help menu now shows also HTC Vive controls
- multiplayer: duplicate sessions were sometimes listed in tablet
- gameplay: explosive barrels now generally need 1 hit to explode
- ai: zombies no more get stuck in "Last Garden" trial
