0.96.8 is live with some significant QoL changes to Creator Studio and weapon skin support. Starting with Creator Studio, editable Creator Studio scenarios have arrived! Note that previously made scenarios will default to not being editable until a creator turns this option on. For weapon skins, it’s now possible to select a skin to use in the Settings menu. This will apply the skin to future task plays when using the associated weapon.
New Features
Editable Creator Studio Scenarios
Creators can now set if their creations are allowed to be edited by other users or not when uploading a scenario from Creator Studio. Previously made scenarios are default to not being editable, creators can go to previously made scenarios to allow them to be edited by others. An editable scenario will have an Edit button when viewing scenarios from the training or workshop menus, Clicking Edit will load up the scenario in Creator Studio to make edits. Once a task is set to being editable, it cannot be changed back to not editable, this includes other users editing an editable task.
Skins Support
Available skins can now be viewed from a new tab in the Settings menu, selecting a skin for a weapon and saving will remember your selected skin for future task plays. Skins can now be changed mid-task play via the Settings menu and weapon loadout settings (including skin selection) will now be remembered between task plays
New Skins
Introducing Aimee, an Aim Lab-inspired anime character! Available now in the new Aimee 9mm/Shadow Bundle!
Fixed in Aim Lab
Search bar disappeared when re-entering the training tab
Escape menus had different language/spelling for the settings menu
Replays skipped over periods of no activity in some situations
When playing as a guest, the replay modal didn’t close by clicking the 'X' from the task results screen
The replay modal now properly shows if you used a weapon skin during a play
Clicking on Buy Now from the store didn’t open a browser link if Steam Overlay was disabled
Saving a playlist without a name removed all tasks from the playlist

0.96.7 is here and comes with some of the biggest new features since Creator Studio! First up, Replays are here! Aim Lab now captures task plays so that you can view and compare runs against yourself and other Aim Lab players. You’ll be able to speed up and slow down playback and see useful visualizations like your leading and trailing mouse path as well as the optimal mouse path to improve your aim! You can also now see your most recent scores for all tasks and quickly access additional data and replays from the Training menu. We’ve also fixed some of the more annoying bugs, such as leaderboards not saving what time frame you last viewed. We’ve laid out all of the details below!
New Features
Replays:
Replays are supported for majority of tasks. When you complete a play of a supported task from this patch onward, a replay will automatically be generated.
Replays will show a 1:1 playback of the position and behavior of targets, how the player aimed and moved, and the progression of their score during the play.
You can view replays at up to 1.5x speed or down to 0.1x speed.
Replays have additional analytics such as visualizing the path the crosshair moved and the most optimal path a player could have taken to a target. Additional analytics will be coming later.
Some recent plays before this patch may be partially supported. A task play that is partially supported may have missing features compared to a task play from this patch onward.
Play Viewer:
A new place to watch replays and compare task metrics against yourself as well as other Aim Lab players!
See how a specific run stacks up against your last run and personal best scores, or check out other player runs to see what they’re doing so you can improve.
Share your replays and play data with others by clicking the Share button to generate a link that you can send to others for them to view.
You can open the Play Viewer in a few different ways:
From the Recent Play Graphs in the Training menu.
After completing a run from the results screen by clicking on “View Replay” or pressing 'R'.
You can also view other player runs by clicking on the Compare icon button in any leaderboard row.
Recent Plays Graphs:
We wanted to surface your recent plays in a more accessible way, so we put a new graph in the Training menu!
When you have played a task before, instead of seeing the task preview, you will now see a graph of your scores from the last 50 plays for the task. You can swap to viewing the preview if you need a refresher.
Mouse over the plays to see a detailed score and date of the play, and click on the plays to pull up additional data on the play and watch the replay.
New Skins
We have 4 new skins hitting the store this patch! Featuring skins for the R4-C, SCAR, and 416-C, these skins are based on some fan-favorite pros!
Huskerrs R4-C:
Imperial Hal FN SCAR:

Addressing build sizes; Quality of Life updates & bug fixes
We've heard your frustrations about update size and frequency loud and clear, and have worked hard to make sure your Aim Lab experience is as frictionless and fun as possible. This update is meant to address the most frequent pain points we've heard from you, our players. It is a large update, but the reason for that is so we can make all future updates much smaller in size. We have investigated why our update size was so consistently large and believe we identified the core issue. From this patch onward you should experience significantly smaller and easier to download updates for Aim Lab.
We also took this opportunity to improve the overall quality of life with a variety of bug fixes and improvements across the board, which should lead you to having a smoother experience, lower RAM usage, and faster loading times. If you're using Aim Lab in any language other than English, you should also notice an overall improvement in the coverage and quality of our Localization. Optimization, UI, and Localization Improvements
Training Tab - We did some magic to the training tab, searching for items should now feel snappier and you shouldn't see any loading happen for most tasks and playlists. Leaderboards - Leaderboard loading times improved, and new scores will now appear on the leaderboards faster.
Lowering RAM usage - Aim Lab will now use less RAM, resulting in fewer stutters when loading or restarting a task; this will be most noticeable on lower-end machines, but it will also speed up restart time in tasks on all machines.
User Interface - Our UI scaled unpredictably with different aspect ratios, so we made it so that it will now have a 16:9 fixed aspect ratio, making it easily usable on all screens.
Localization - We are making an active effort to improve localization in-game, starting with the most visited screens. You should see fewer non-localized words on all the screens that you most commonly use.

Leaderboards
We’ve now implemented contextual leaderboards which lets you see exactly where you rank for each task you play. You can check out your placements from the scores tab, and after you’ve finished playing a task in the leaderboard tab - it also shows what percentile you fall into and how many total players there are! The training tab also now features leaderboards that reset weekly for each task, giving you the opportunity to claim a top spot!
