“When I joined the Kingdom team as a QA I was told to just play the game for the first couple of weeks to learn it. This liberty allowed me to figure out one of the known, but unreproducible issues. That was my first ticket in Jira and remains one of my favorite bugs to this day.😊 It was this peasant who moved like they were waterskiing. I called it "a slider".

It was challenging to reproduce and it took me about a week of playtesting to figure it out. Eventually, I exposed it!

The issue would happen when a floater would pick up a peasant and then when archers would kill the floater, the peasant would drop and remain frozen in this animation, sliding their way until they would pick up a tool and become an employed citizen.😊"Kristina, QA Manager

The development love story (and beautiful legacy) behind this Kingdom building title dates back all the way to 2015 when two developers, Thomas van den Berg and Marco Bancale, spent countless months pouring their passion, talent and love into unknown-at-the-time indie game of their own creation, carefully crafting and ultimately bringing you the very first Kingdom experience. Years later, in 2018 the developer Fury Studios and publisher Raw Fury launched the flagship title of the Kingdom franchise, Kingdom Two Crowns, that not only developed on the initial affection for the title, and amplified it further, but also honored the elegant heritage and pixel beauty making it an unforgettable and favorite experience for millions of players across the world.

1. The random islands in the Lost Islands challenge are now more random.
   
2. Linux: Addressed several controller issues that have prevented the Linux version of the game from being verified on Steam Deck.
   
   
   • IMPORTANT: With these fixes, we will re-submit the game to Steam Deck verification with the Linux build, which may cause players already playing the Proton-run version of Kingdom Two Crowns on Steam Deck to be unable to access their previous save data. The save data is not erased but will exist in a different directory, which is recoverable through the following process. In order for a smooth transition and to continue with your previous save data, we urge you to register to our PlayFab service in the pause menu and upload your saves as soon as possible, so that they can be re-downloaded again once the game has been updated with the Linux version.
     
   • If you have not registered to PlayFab and notice that your save data is no longer accessible by the game after our verification pass, you can still access your old saves by going to Library > Kingdom Two Crowns > Properties > Compatibility, check the box next to “Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool” and choose “Proton Experimental” in the drop-down menu. This should allow access to your old save data and give you another chance to transfer them via PlayFab.
