We're thrilled to announce that we're setting up our Kingdom Eighties camp at an exciting new location - Steam Strategy Fest! Starting on August 28th at 7pm CEST and running until September 4th 7pm CEST, we'll be calling on you to help us protect our new camp from the ravenous Greed (they get more ferocious during events according to the legends!).

When we don’t have to defend the camp, we’ll be gathering around the campfire, sharing a few stories, lemonades and pizzas, listening to the atmospheric tunes from the game and enjoying the beauty of the neon lights. Perhaps we’ll even peek into the treasure chest and who knows what we’re going to find there📼



In the middle of our camp we’ll set up a screen where you’ll have a unique chance to see Survival Mixtapes streamed for the first time! Led by the wise master of the Kingdom games, the almighty Experience Producer Angelica Norgren, and a freshly crowned Camper in absolute love and obsession over the 80s, Sr. Community Manager Daria Driver. Whose skill will prove to be the best against unending waves of Greed? Which one will occur to be the successful strategy - experience or daringness? The Summer of Greed kicks off today, and it’s a blast from the past!

We are very happy to welcome our first standalone expansion today: Kingdom Eighties. Kingdom jumps forward in time, but back to our memories of summer camps, riding bikes, and sitting around in your pajamas in front of the TV on Saturday mornings,



There's much more than meets the eye, though! Kingdom Eighties is built on the same framework of Kingdom Two Crowns, but with lots of innovation to the gameplay: for the very first time, we have a linear story and cutscenes, along with followers with brand new AI, lightning updates, and many other things we'd like you to discover by yourself. Once upon a time, there was a monarch who set sail on a journey to find the mysterious Lost Islands. Many had attempted this journey before, but few had returned. The only thing known about the island was it had a lighthouse built by the ancients and its location never the same.The monarch was determined to discover the secrets of the Lost Islands. They gathered a small crew of the bravest and most skilled citizens and set sail on their journey.

They sailed through treacherous storms, but they never gave up. They searched every inch of the ocean, but the Lost Islands seemed to elude them.

However, at long last, they see them; looking through their telescope, they witness the fabled Lost Islands. They shimmer and shift with the rise and fall of the sun, and even though the unknown stirs a little fear in their soul, the excitement of the adventure galvanizes them onwards.

Alas, they were never heard from again, just like all the others before them...

• Lost Islands - A new challenge island is now available! Face a new, randomly generated challenge every day. But be swift, for each island will eventually be lost to time…
  
• Once you embark on an island, you'll have up to 72 hours to complete it
  
• Only one island can be saved & explored before completion
  
• Norse Lands setting is now available in all existing challenge islands

• Norse Lands: The Loki staff ability can no longer be used inside the cave
  
• Norse Lands: Getting defeated while transformed into Boar form no longer generates coins
  
• Plague Island: Citizens overtaken by the greed will now do less damage against walls and will have a longer cooldown between each hit

• The visual effect of lightning flashes during thunderstorms has been toned down
  
• Citizen houses no longer have extra torches upon loading a save
  
• Workers should no longer get stuck on catapults with oil barrels
  
• The merchant's donkey now responds properly to the gravity of the universe, and will no longer levitate upside down
  
• The dog will once again yelp for help when trapped under a log
  
• Fixed a bug that could cause strange behavior after the dog was freed from the cave

We're delighted to present the new Challenge Island in just a week!

That's right, Lost Islands, the new Challenge Island for Kingdom Two Crowns, will be released on all platforms on January 23rd.

Land, ho! Step onto lands on which time rules over everything.

You can look forward to the following:

• Once you embark on an island, you'll have up to 72 hours to complete it.
  
• If completed before the next day, you'll have to wait until the clock ticks 00:00 before a new one is generated.
  
• You can play this Challenge Island with any of the Kingdom Two Crowns settings.
  
• That's right; you can now additionally play new and older challenges with the Norse Lands setting!
  
• Lost Islands will support co-op.
  
• It'll be released on all platforms on which you can currently play Kingdom Two Crowns.
  
• Every day, a new island will be generated with certain random elements!
  
• It's a free update!

We also received word on the new challenge goals, but our letter got lost overboard and had to be fished out. We'll get it dried off and legible for next week!

Thank you to those who jumped over to our Discord and participated in our Big Kingdom Challenge 2022! It was a fantastic event, with many knowledgeable Monarchs making it to the finals. Our winner has now been crowned, and extra shinies were handed to the finalists. We'd love to rerun it in 2023 and hope to see you there.

For now, though, the new year's bells have not yet rung, and the holidays' festivities have only just begun. So let's take this quiet moment to answer some of your hot questions about our new upcoming Challenge Island - Lost Islands!

• What's the challenge on the island?
  Time…
  
• When will it be released?
  Lost Islands will be floating into your sights in late January!
  
• Will it be random which DLC we play with it can we choose?
  You can choose to play with any of the Kingdom Two Crowns DLC.
  
• The biggest and probably going to be the most asked one, will it support multiplayer?
  Lost Islands will support co-op. In fact… There may even be a co-op achievement to complete. 🤫
  
• Will the special characteristics of each island be generated randomly or scripted?
  Each new island will have certain aspects generated randomly, so pray to the RNG gods for good luck.
  
• Do you need to have all DLC's or just the base game?
  You can have none, all or something in between. :)
  
• Will we be able to go left on the new challenge island or can we only run right?
  Left and right!
  
• Will be released in all the platforms?
  All platforms that you can currently play Kingdom Two Crowns on, yes!
  
• It's going to be free or we need to buy it?
  It’s free!
  
• Will the islands change every 12 hours 24 hours , every week, ect
  There will be a new island every day, but we won’t be rushing you to complete it in 24 hours, but rather give you up to three days to wrap it up. If you complete the challenge sooner, you are of course free to take on the new challenge the very next day. We hope this will allow for a less stressful and fun experience.
  
• Will this challenge island be shuffling between all four settings (Europe/Shogun/Dead Lands/Norse Lands) or will it be like when starting a new save in which you must choose which setting to play on.
  You’ll choose which setting to play on.

A fun extra for y’all, with the release of Lost Islands, Norse Lands setting will be playable in all existing challenges so it’s a new way to play them.
