New patch release for Gloria Sinica: Han Xiong Wars 2.230

Greetings, there will be a major update coming soon in January, however a new save will be required after the release and the game will most likly crush upon loading your old saves, we are deeply sorry for the trouble.



Changes are as follow:

Bug Fixs
1-changed equipment weight, length and speed
2-removed the option of access local prices when accompanying "Brother" to Shishi School in Chengdu to avoid bugs
3-fixed the bug of troops yells cheering sounds when engage in melee fights
4-fixed the script of native mini map to avoid abnormal icon display when opening up mini map with backspace
5-fixed the bug of grouping horsearchers into infantry during siege battles
6-fixed the bug of attacking AI troops take too long to push up the wall during siege battles
7-fixed the bug of displaying wrong texts when failed to rescue any prisoner after rescue missions
8-fixed the occasional script error when launching ballistas
9-fixed the bug of starting dialouge of promotion after your general are defeated when playing as a soilder in an NPC party
10-fixed two bugs in the battle of Monan Battle to prevent the Right Wise King from being blocked by random troops which will freeze the story line
11-fixed the bug of having chances to have cycling dialogue with your general after winning the duel against him
12-fixed the camera postion when changing from the formation control system menu to native command menu
13-fixed the bug of showing custom troops in menu when forming them but with no members.

15-fixed the bug of player party freeze after finishing the tiger hunting quest, also block the quest from being triggered near water

21-removed the melee version of javelins from the market
22-fixed the bug of being able to grind contribution pnts when delievering 5 enemy generals to any cities
23-fixed the settings of high land effects, now they will never appear in regions with low sea levels
24-fixed the tournament settings for javelin throwers, now they will be equipped with a bamboo sword to prevent them from having no weapon after run out on ammunition
25-fixed the bug of unable to transfer troops in the first row of the supply party after the merchant leader was killed
26-fixed the bug of being able to command ally troops when playing as a soilder/officer under an NPC party
27-fixed the dressing of tarven keeper in Chanyuting
28-fixed the bug in pass blockage, player can now join the siege battle if the attackers are hostile and the defenders are friendly. New conditions of triggering blockage dialouge are also added to prevent bugs and other uncertainties
29-fixed the id number of player's party to avoid bugs that make players control other parties
30-Repaired the bug of sprint-HP bar's disappearing when pressing esc under the "Arena mode"
31-Solved the bug of being placed at the abnormal position when the player is raiding prison at a fortress or a pass


New features

-Starting options changes
--added more staring options:
Han: hillman, a han noble, decent family youth, jing-chu warrior
Nomad: Lofan horseman, Dingling horseman, Wuhuan horseman
Baiyue: qin decendent, minyue hunters
Yi: chu decendent, yelang hunters
West region: lolan noble, wusun horseman, yueshi archer, hellenic decendent
--enlarged the explored area around each starting location
--more hints when playing in free mode, such as how to recurit and guide to nearby bandit lair
--added 1 bandit lair near the starting loaction of each heritage option, there will also be a constant number of bandit around the lair for players to grind their in-game level
--enabled levying in all cities that have a positive (including 0) relation with player, the number of soilders you get goes up as the relationship goes, for Han dynasty you can only levy peasents. Regular troopes can be recruited in player owned cities. The recruiting price will be 8X of the unkeep in normal cities, 4X in player owned cities.
--bandit 1 & 2 in Yanquan will drop half amount of gold as they did before
--Salt Well will not disappear after the opening story, there will also be new dialogues with "Mother" and "Brother" after complete the main story line
--the horse in Yanquan are no longer mountable to avoid bugs

-officer ranking system and battle formations changes
--Added complete officer rank tree for all factions. All factions except Han can be played in free mode (traditional M&B style) under officer ranking system, Han will still force hte player to play under a NPC party and proceed the main story line
--As a Han citizen(all three heritage option except hillmen) you can still enlist in any barrack of any Han cities and play under the party of that city's governor
--when joining a NPC party as a soilder/officer, all the troops in player's party except NPCs will be disbanded
--changed damage bonus, the lower level you are when you play as a soilder/officer in a NPC party the more extra damage you deal
--when playing as a soilder/officer, you can choose not to return to your parenting army after finishing any mission, doing this will lower your relationship with your faction to -1 and also lower your realtionship with your general
--you can now get contribution pnts when fighting battles when you are on the break
--no more pop up notifications for promotions
--you can now learn battle formations when promoted to officer:
Garrison chief can learn wedge formation
Team chief can learn square formation
Leader of ten can learn basic attacking
--replenish player's health when triggering rescue missions and the battle of Monan, add ally icon to ally troops in resuce missions, guarding missions and the battle of Monan
--simplified the story line of the battle of Monan and added several new hints, the battle of Monan can only be trigger when playing as a han soilder/officer
--new dialouges with Dunzi in the battle of Monan if the player didn't choose Yanquan as starting option
--new options in barrack that allow players to spend contribution pnts for money, supply and books
--unlocked the cap of maximum 40 contribution pnts earned per battle after being promoted to officer
--players now no longer need to disband assigned troops in order to get promotions, the assgined troops will be automatically disbanded after promotions
--new rules of promotion, now you will more likely to be promoted to a rank that matches your own attributes (power draw to ranged, riding to cavalry etc.)
--when playing as an officer/general of Han, players will have a chance of getting guarding missions when Han owns all four passes: Juyong, Yanmen, Liaodong, Jilu
--cooldown of advance formation system at the beginning of the battle are nearly reduced to none, increase the maximum ordering distance, also increase the influence of player's stength, ironflesh and leadership on ordering distance
--changed the setting of "great battle" to 200+ troops fighting in the same battlefield(auto resolve does not count) with no other conditions. If there are multiple waves of battle or if player quit the battle or got knocked out, the rest of the battle will not count towards "great battle"
--Improved cavalry AI, now they can automatically dissolve their formations according to the situation and will try to primarily target enemy cavalries, war elephants and ranged units while avoiding polearm infantries

-common features
--lowered equipment weight penalties, equipment weight will no longer affect damage dealt by bows but will still affect accuarcy (the heavier the weight, the worse the accuracy)
--lowered the mortality rate caused by natural disasters
--added switches for natrual disasters, NPC fighting(default on) and teleportation(cheat,default off) in camp menu.
--increased horse speed and charging damage
--Dawan Horse & Blood-sweat Horse now have a chance to appear in the market of Dawan
--the battle size are now automatically adjusted base on the size of both parties
--players can now attack neutrual cities
--lowered HP of all the wild animals
--player's party morale are no longer affected by nationality
--adjusted the battle size of non siege battles a bit smaller
--greatly reduce the spawn rate of outlaws,they will now patrol near the rally point instead of waiting
--increased the stamina used for dashing

--you can now press F to reach the outside of the townwall near the ladder construction site in siege battles.
--temporarily blocked the Huns from releasing plague when they are nearly defeated
--sneaking into enemy passes and forts are no longer valid
--added local products to good merchants
--lowered the percentage of elephants in Yelang, Dian and Pyu armies

-quest lines and NPCs

--removed the cool down before NPCs start to appear in taverns, remove the influence of player's relationship with the city, luck, renown and the number of NPCs in player's party on the chance of encounter NPCs in taverns, the chances of encountering NPCs in taverns during day time is greatly increased.

--Overhualed quest line for "Zhong Li"
---more affinity gained after each 2 times visiting her
---lowered the attribute requirement for her to join
---reduced the cool down between triggering story events
---On the 3rd phase, increased the area and time of which Zhong Li might appear, added a new quest and guide
---reduced melee time for Zhong Li
---fixed a minor bug
---add the hint for task update.

--fixed the adventurer quest line, if the dialouge does not start at Find Holy Mountain, he can be recruited after all the adventurer quest have been finished

-Equipment & troop customization
--display the buying price and price per equipment during customization of each equipment
--removed the annoying forging sound in equipment customization menu
--enabled option for transport team to station inside non hostile cities, added 'order' option in transport team menu and city menu
--custom troop can now be replenished after reaching lv25
--lowered the attibute of NPCs promoted from custom troops
--the exp gained by custom troop is lowered to 3/5
--disabled equipment customization menu in player owned city after constructing arsenal

Artwork
-fixed the sea entrance of yeallow river on the campaign map that might block player and AI paties
-added a new steppe horse
-changed the texture of one of the steppe horse variants

-completed all the scenes for streets, castle, tavern, arena, prison, pass ,siege battles, great wall battles, river battles for each factions
