*EDIT*
Here is progress on the Triceratops TLC, with a shiny new pattern!
The game manual is now available to read. It should help get you started. It will be updated as more major updates come out. For now, it's a quick start guide on how to begin hunting in Wrath of the Goliaths: Dinosaurs!
Fixes: - Grenade spawning - AI tweaks - Ambient Dinosaurs alternate skins now load properly - Dreary Sono navigation fixed - Fixed bug where herbivores wouldn't know what to do when shot - Fixed bug where wandering would fail occasionally - Small bug fixes that were caused by the failed wander call - Tweaked reverb - Tweaked audio volumes - Fixed Parasaurolophus' double roar
Quality of life changes: - All animals now use a child material from a parent material. This should raise FPS and lower draw calls - Modified collision tags
How is it going hunters? A large update is finally here!
Added:
- HUD elements - Arrow to guide you back when you're OOB - NEW MAP "Dreary Sono", explore this large hunt area based on the beautiful deserts of Arizona. - Parasaurolophus is now back in as a huntable dinosaur, with several updates to it's animations as well as a new unique crest frill-less variant. Watch out for this fast and skittish herbivore! - Allosaurus is also back as a huntable dinosaur, smaller than it's more aggressive cousin, Saurophaganax, it still packs a mean bite. - Introduction tutorial, this is a quick run-down to help new users get a started and learn the basics of the game. From what dinosaurs are available, their vulnerable spots, to what is and how to use Perma. - Added flying reptiles, currently they are ambient hunts: Pteranodon, and Geosternbergia are currently able to be seen soaring the skies - Loading screen spinner - Added campsite objects (The camp is where you spawn in)
Fixes and tweaks:
- AI issues - Tweaked dinosaur speeds - Tweaked spawn rate - Tweaked spawn zones - Tweaked spawn amounts - Tweaked weapon map spawns - New spawn system. Bracketed into tiers, all areas will have a 'Trophy' hunt. These hunts are especially dangerous and large. Along with medium to small hunts, it is now easier to tell which hunt is available in each area. By selecting an area to hunt on, the hunt licenses will auto-update and refund any hunts that are unavailable, and will show the ones that are. - Tweaked weapon damage for the TR Shotgun - Tweaked fire speed for some weapons - Tweaked reload speed for some weapons - Fixed audio issue, constant roar sounds should no longer be an issue. Roars have been fixed to now all be based on distance. - Gunshots, running, and jumping are all actions that can scare hunts away or attract predators now. - Shooting dinosaurs now will cause them to react and either chase you or run away. - Perma values tweaked in the hunt shop - Perma rewards tweaked - Perma rewards from "illegal hunts" now will exponentially decrease until it hits 0 from additional "illegal hunts" - Loading screen fixed - Tweaked the fog, lighting and post process settings in Haystack Ridge - Fixed ambient animals not spawning with unique skins (I.e. Alternate, albino, melanistic skins)
Here are the list of hunts on each map:
Haystack Ridge:
- Saurophaganax - Trophy Hunt
- Stegosaurus
- Ceratosaurus
- Megalosaurus
Desert Map:
- Carcharodontosaurus - Trophy Hunt
- Allosaurus
- Parasaurolophus
- Stegosaurus
Looking forward:
Things we have planned that are underway:
- A brand new map, based on a swamp environment. - More dinosaurs to come back, and more to be added to existing maps. - A new dinosaur! - Bug fixes - AI changes - New unique animations - A new weapon - Lore objectives - Mission Mode
Since the day is almost over, and we had yet to have any fun.
We put a little special nod in for players looking for some nostalgic gameplay. Pressing 4 and 1, right after each other (Note that it may take a few attempts), you will enable a special mode!
You can keep up to date with us on our Discord, we promise we are friendly.
This update was much needed, reducing the game size to about 2GB from 12GB. We believe several loading issues have been resolved. We rebuilt the project from scratch, taking some assets from the previous builds, but other than that, the project was completely redone.
There is now a new map to hunt on, and although some features are temporarily removed, they will be back soon!
Changes and Additions
- Available hunts now have at least 2 new unique idle animations, and their roar animation - Added bagging ship, this ship will retrieve your hunts and zip them away - Added new pistol, the Void. A double burst shot pistol, this side arm has unlimited ammo and should be used to help ward off animals when you need to reload - Added death animations for Stegosaurus and Edaphosaurus - New Main menu UI - New Hunt menu UI - New logo for Wrath of the Goliaths: Dinosaurs - New Hunter model, audio, and animations for first person and third person - Updated in-game UI - Added inventory system - Updated the pause menu - Reworked the trophy bagging system - Added animation and interaction for when you bag the trophy - Reworked the AI system - Reworked the spawn system - Proper game instance settings, removed the old hunt variable system. This should alleviate major problems with loading levels - New weapon system is implemented, you can now drop weapons as they run out of ammunition, or pick up weapons you find while hunting - The ui will now shame you if you hunt an animal you don't have a license for, i.e. "Illegal hunt" if you didn't have a license, this also halves the total perma earned. - Brand new map, "Haystack Ridge", with new volumetric lighting set up. This map brings together both the island and valley maps from previous builds and takes their best aspects. - Added new audio for the weapons - Added new audio for dinosaurs
- Hunt failed/success UI - Retry Hunt after you finish your hunt whether you failed or succeeded - Fixed NVidia Ansel Plugin - Removed redundant and unused plugins - New landscape material
Removed:
- Every dinosaur except for the following: Carcharodontosaurus Ceratosaurus Stegosaurus T.Rex Megalosaurus Saurophaganax Dimetrodon Edaphosaurus Compsognathus
- Burst Rifle - XSniper - YSniper
- Weather System - Time of Day system - Majority of the achievements - Unlockables
- Maps:
- -Omitted Island- - The Valley
Now what was removed, will be back aside from the maps. We wanted to focus our attention back on the roots of the project and make sure not only that the game ran, but the concept of the game was completed. The rest is bug fixing and adding new stuff and bringing back what was removed. All the dinosaurs in previous updates will be back, the same for all the weapons but the Pistol. That side-arm is being retired in favor of The Void pistol. Unlockables and achievements will be back as well. We also removed some UI that felt like a bit of a tease. To combat that, we removed them, and as they are completed features, those UI options will come back.
We know we kept you waiting hunters, thank you so much for your patience and support!
The Pentaceratops is an upcoming hunt. We wanted to thank you all for the tremendous amount of support! This dinosaur was intended to be DLC as it was made by another artist than Manuel who has created all other creatures in Wrath of the Goliaths.
Included in this DLC pack is:
Pentaceratops
Common Pentaceratops Skin
Albino Pentaceratops Skin
Melanistic Pentaceratops Skin
A new ambient creature
We hope you look forward to hunting this ceratopsian!
We are excited to get this out as soon as we can. It isn't looking like too much longer is needed and we have many things to share that you can look forward to once the patch launches.

Majority involve small variables such as speed of certain animals, reload speed for some weapons, and fire rates.
Many more fixes and additions will come in the patch once it is ready, for now the majority of these are already implemented.
Here are the new logos for the game! There is a blue and red variant.
Lastly here is the Main Menu theme, composed by Jonathan Harris:
