Evening humans, a new update hast arrived!

The status effect chances were regoddamn fucking ridiculous! The altar was most offended in their extreme accuracy and prevention! Players with high luck were practically immune to all negative status effects. I repeat, fucking immune!

*backflips onto a white nationalist and begins stabbing*

And not only that, they were also guaranteed to inflict low chance effects. We're talking shit that was only supposed to work 5-20% of the time, not god damn 90% of the time! Only the strongest of teh monstas had a chance to withstand these infinite stuns/paralysis! Many limbs were removed and lashes received in attonement of these programming sins. Praise be to teh blood!

*injects gallon of gasoline into arm*

The formula has been both fixed and adjusted! Luck now applies a percentage increase to the percentage increase, as well as a static increase to the former percentage increase, and god damn that sentence is hard to fucking understand. Even though it makes complete sense!

*stabs nearby acolyte with a sealed packet of twizzlers*

Health ratio is now also a component in the whole complicated as all fuck stat effect chance formula thing! so if something has 60% of its health, then its stat weight for inflicting a negative status chance is reduced by 40%! Why are these sentences so complicated?!

*slides into a house sized pile of burning lemons*

There are a bunch of other things! Like panic now having an animation, and health and spirit are more valued in battle psychology, and some other shit, but I don't give a fuck! I got things to stab!

New Features:
Slightly expanded explorable area in chapter one.
Most complacent enemies will now sometimes observe.

Balancing:
Halved total formula for status infliction/protection.
Doubled the weight of attack stat for status infliction.
Tripled the weight of magic stat for status infliction.
Doubled the weight of dexterity stat for status infliction.
Current health ratio now has weight in status infliction.
Halved the weight of luck in status infliction.
Doubled the weight of spirit for status protection.

v5.2.4 Books and Psychology

New Features:
Battle Psychology is now in. (status effects are currently hidden)
If one side is 50% weaker than the other, they will be fearful.
If one side is 75% weaker than the other, they will be terrified.
If one side is 400% stronger, they will instantly become complacent.
If one side is 200% stronger, they will moderately gain complacency.
If one side is slightly stronger, they will slowly gain complacency.
Fearful and terrified lower attack, accuracy, and spirit.
Terrified lowers magic.
Most terrified enemies are able to panic.
Fearful and terrified increases defense and agility.
Complacency lowers some stats by 10% and increases damage taken by 25%.
Complacency increases spirit by 20%.
Complacency is removed when hit.
Attack stat has twice the weight in battle psychology.
Defense stat has twice the weight in battle psychology.
Spirit stat has twice the weight in battle psychology.
Knowledge accumulation is now fully in.
Some dialogue is now affected by Knowledge and Charisma. (this is
currently a small amount with negligible rewards)
Knowledge now increases Violet's accuracy, evasion, and counter.
(at max knowledge these are only +5%)
Knowledge now secretly gives Violet some resistance to confusion.
(at max knowledge this is only 25% resistance)
Player's defense stat now helps against knock down and stun.
Almost all bookshelves can now be read throughout the game.
45 new books added.

Balancing:
Doubled the effects of current health for status protection.
Increased difficulty of Angel Harp boss.
Increased EXP from silver puppets.
Lowered Gold from silver puppets.

Misc:
Slightly expanded Ghost Road.

v5.2.1 Expanded Ghost Town

New Features:
Expanded size of Ghost Town.
Ghost Town graphics increased from level 8 to level 10.
3 customizable buildings added to ghost town. (first one is at level 4)
Began introducing knowledge and charisma system. (this currently has no
effect on the game, but its hidden accumulation is halfway implemented)

Balancing:
Readjusted ghost town construction rate. (slower growth at first, but faster
growth overall)
+1 economy per town level.
Soldiers now cost 1 economy each.
Increased status chance for most enemy skills.

Misc:
Fixed some talent points rewards not being rewarded.

Balancing:
Increased gold from late game chests by 10-20%.
Increased cost of demonic shards by 50%.
Blind now lowers accuracy by 50% instead of 25%.
Blind now lowers evasion by 25% instead of 10%.

Misc:
Teleport area is 3D again. (this may be reversed if random crashing returns)

Hidden debuff to party when Alex calls out a sick monster. (ten turns of
-10% evasion, but only occurs if the monster performed emesis)

new life to the combats! Life that involves the talking of things! But worry not my little fuel cells of meat and bone... it will not over flood your combat feed with excessive talking! Cause that shit is annoying as all fuck! This combat is quite dialed down, but be sure to let me know if it becomes annoying as all fuck!

New Features:
Alex now randomly calls out if enemies are injured, tired, or winding up
a physical attack. (more situations will arrive next update)
Hidden buff to party whenever Alex calls out a physical attack. (buff is 2 turns
of +25% physical evasion and +10% counter)

Balancing:
Enemies charging a side attack now take 10% more damage.
Enemies charging a side attack are now four times more likely to be
knocked down.
Enemies charging a side attack now have a +50% chance to inflict knockdown.
Enemies charging a high attack are now two times more likely to be

Evening mortals. I have come to bring you further details into the enlightenment of this minor yet grandiose update. Resources of enemies are now a concept, and the destruction of towns have returned. But worry not my little anxiety filled murdas, much time is still in your control, more than in previous incarnations. Only those who do not partake in the active playing of this expression will become victims of these heartless new procedures.

This system will be expanded upon in the coming time waves. Your actions upon the world of Wooden Ocean will become more consequential to the mundane tasks many RPG peers disregard as filler. Zones will be designated to each section in the game, and each will have its own pool of resources, resources that, if removed entirely, will result in no more ghosts in that particular area. Other changes will occur as well, such as new bosses, dungeons, or even NPCs when those zones are cleared out. Your ghost town's military presence will also begin to show up in the game, giving you access to temporary ghost soldiers if interacted with. Ghost soldiers that will reflect the strength of your science and military. But again my little murdas, these features are not in yet. Only the skeleton has been placed.

Since no sequel is being generated anytime soon, or perhaps any time ever, expect much more free content to arrive in the following months or even years. Frozen Ocean has been delayed once again due to instability issues, an entire restructure of it will have to take a place, and I have no drive to that at this time. My drive now drives me to making the Wooden Ocean more alive. Besides that drive, I also intend to further improve the towns of Lampless and Ghost Road, as well as expand on the procedural nature of the Infinite Hotel. Expect minor to significant improvements to these three areas in the months to come.

But I have talked enough. Go out there and kill some monstas. Good day humans.

v5.1 Enemy Resources

New Features:
Enemy Resources are now in. (all battle related activities outside of
arenas now reduces enemy resources, which is now how town attacks
are determined) (ghost encounters are worth 2 points, a repeat of that
encounter is worth 1 point, pentagrams and most quests/bosses are 10-25 points,
and every 50 points reduced is equal to 1% less enemy tech rate and about 2-3
hours worth of additional town protection)
Northern Mining camp can again be destroyed by enemy forces.
Yamen Farm can again be destroyed by enemy forces.
Southern Katis can now be destroyed by enemy forces.
If a town is attacked, it is now immediately destroyed. (but far more can
be done to prevent this from ever happening)

Balancing:
Improved healing spells for Fire, Ice, and Lightning.
Buffed and Renamned Healing Mud to Reconstruct.
Increased healing effect of Protective Mud by 20%.
Reduced defense bonus of Protective Mud from 35% to 10%.
Protective Mud now applies a secret 10% resistance to fire.
Protective Mud now applies a secret immunity to burn.
Renamed Protective Mud to Healing Mud.
Exhume now also applies Healing Mud.
Doubled healing effect of Cleanse.
Improved healing spells for Holy, Metal, and Carbon.
Holy resurrection spells now also apply Holy Armor.
Doubled gold rewards from Captain Reinz.
