Additionally we now have an Official Total Tank Simulator wiki. All the units, campaign missions, and faction information you could wish for, you can join the wiki and help update it here.
The team are currently working hard on the next update. Be sure to tune in next week for more details!
As mentioned last week, the team have been working hard on implementing some improvements from launch feedback last week. With our first bigger update which is live now!
Changes:
In addition to graphics quality settings, CPU performance settings that control the strain on the CPU have been added
The updated version should automatically determine the best default settings for both GPU and CPU performance levels. However, at any time it will be possible to switch those settings to something else. The CPU settings will control the following aspects of the game that have an impact on CPU usage:
Number of particle systems: spawning (explosions, trails, smokes, debris from buildings)
Number of particles in each running system (explosions, trails, smokes behind units etc.)
Explosion colouring the environment
Explosion deforming the terrain
Whether infantry ragdolls are enabled on death
How long do ragdolls last after death
How long do machine gun bullets travel
Limit accuracy of colliders around infantry bodies when viewed from a long distance
Reduce the number of sounds played and processed
Disable fly-by sounds
Spawning fewer trees on maps
Control the limit of units on lower settings.
Reset Button Added after game is over - to make it easier to restart in Sandbox.
As always thank you for your support in Total Tank Simulator - please check out our pinned posts on the Steam Discussions if you wish to provide further feedback or need assistance!
Thank you for all your support on launch yesterday, it’s been a very busy day for the team!
We’ve been reading all your feedback and suggestions and understand some users have been experiencing issues - rest assured our team is listening to all your feedback to make Total Tank Simulator as enjoyable as possible. With us working on optimization ASAP. Please read on for our upcoming plans:
TODAY
First of all the team is gathering as many log files as we can to identify if any errors or exceptions are happening during the game that could affect performance.
We’ve noticed some of you are posting issues in comments - please check the pinned ‘How to report issues and bugs’ thread herewhich now includes updated guidance on How to gather log files for Total Tank Simulator. This information will help us investigate any problems - which in turn makes the game the best experience for you!
We will also push a change later today that adjusts the number of units that can spawn in the battle in accordance with the quality settings chosen by the player.
NEXT WEEK CHANGES
We are working on getting an update out to you all early next week -
In addition to graphics quality settings, we will add CPU performance settings that control the strain on the CPU.
We also plan to look into gathered logs to determine if there are any errors or exceptions that could impact the performance.
Keep an eye out on our latest news feed for when this patch goes live.
UPDATED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
We have adjusted our system requirements from further testing and feedback, to more accurately represent minimal sufficient gameplay.
We understand there are areas within our game engine & game where we think we could improve performance by creating a customized solution that better suits our game instead of using a built-in general solution. This will be ongoing work from the team as the game progresses and we will be sure to update you all with any changes and improvements.
- Thank you again for all your support, we look forward to hearing your continued feedback and sharing upcoming plans with you. See you on the battlefield!

505 Games and Noobz From Poland are all set to release Total Tank Simulator on Steam for PC Wednesday, May 20. ːsteamhappyː
Total Tank Simulator is a passion project brought to life from Noobz from Poland and began as a small scale handcrafted demo released in 2016 which quickly drew the attention of players around the world!
Offering a unique way to experience some of the most pivotal moments in world history, Total Tank Simulator is a battle simulation game offering an explosive combination of a physics-based gameplay and historically accurate content (sort of).
The original experience has since evolved to a full launch packed with three exciting game modes and dozens of totally destructible maps through the lens of six nations, each with a unique campaign.
You will take on the role of a commander of one of six nations in each campaign, strategically deploying massive armies before watching the physics-based engine playout the battle with real-world accuracy. Setting itself apart from other titles, Total Tank Simulator encourages players to be a part of the action, allowing direct control of individual units – from tanks and planes to snipers, soldiers and more.
Hundreds of historical and classified units and weapons are carefully detailed with environments that are completely destructible from the Sahara Desert to the green fields of Europe and the snowy plains of Russian Taiga and beyond.
Three distinct gameplay modes will appeal to different players and will challenge players to be strategic and creative, including: Sandbox Mode, Shadow Mode and Campaign Mode each with six historical nations to play as.
After years of development shaped by your community feedback,
Total Tank Simulator will be available on the Steam for PC on Wednesday, May 20 for $19.99/€19,99/£16.49. ( local prices will be available ASAP )
But that's not all!
You can also save 10% off by purchasing Total Tank Simulator during the games launch week, a resulting reward of 505 Games’ wish list campaign:
50K wish lists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units will be available for each of the original factions
75K wish lists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units + Officer Units + 10% release discount (1 week)
150K wish lists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units + Officer Units + 25% release discount (1 week)
We can still achieve the final reward of 25% off if cleared prior to launch! Please share with your friends and get them to wishlist today.
As always thank you for your feedback, be sure to chat with us here or on our Discord, Twitter and Reddit.
Tank you Total Tank Simulator fans ( see what we did there...)
We would like to thank all the Commanders that participated on the recent preview run, and of course all our community for watching!
The strategic targets have been secured as we just reached 75K Wishlists on Steam. Effectively meaning Officer units will be present in game and there will be a 10% launch discount on Steam. Release date and price to be confirmed!
So what are Officers? Officers are a special unit that can be acquired and equipped with different vehicles. On the field it can provide offensive, defensive or movement bonuses to adjacent units.
- Each one provides different modificators to the surrounding units (they have an area of effect): damage they deal, damage they take or speed. - You can acquire (pay) officers and upgrade them through the campaign. - They can die. - They can be captures and you can bail them out (pay).
This has been a great campaign so far , but remember we can achieve a major victory if we reach 150K Wishlists that will grant a 25% discount on Steam! ;)
The team are working hard on the final version of the game and we can't wait to continue to share more with you!
As you might have seen in our previous news, we gave a bunch of content creators and community members super top secret access to an updated preview of Total Tank Simulator! The preview is over...for now however keep an eye out on our news for more information!

A lot has been happening behind the scenes for Noobz from Poland and 505 Games.
We are going through uncertain times globally and we ask you to, please be safe, and take care of yourself and others <3
We know that you want to know more about how the game is progressing and, specifically, would like to have release details. We rather not provide release information at this stage in case we are forced to reconsider it in the light of the current events.
But would like to reiterate that we are progressing as planned. ːsteamhappyː
In order to offer an advance on the game progress we have recently reached out to a selection of content creators and community members to join a private latest development preview of the game!
They will be showing their videos and comments over the next few days! We hope you enjoy!

We've put together a Frequently Asked Questions list to get you ready for TTS. We can't tell you a launch date *just* yet but our team are working hard for a 2020 release.
So here is the latest!
Should we expect Steam Workshop compatibility? A possibility in the future!
Will beta testers get a discount? There will be no particular discount for beta testers however we have our Wishlist Campaign to reward all our fans - we've already hit Tier 1.
Check out the following tiers and the discounts available:
• Tier 2: 75K wishlists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units + Officer Units + 10% release discount (1 week). • Tier 3 150K wishlists = Secret Weapons or Special Tactics units + Officer Units + 25% release discount (1 week
What languages does Total Tank Simulator support? US, UK, GER, FR, IT, SP, RU, POL, BR-PT, JAPANESE, KOREAN, SIMP and TRAD CHINESE. With some voiceover in US, UK, GER, FR, IT, RU, PO.
Will *certain weapon* be featured in the game? You’ll have to wait and find out - don’t worry we will be previewing a lot before release! But if there's anything in particular you want to see, let us know!
What nations will be featured? 6 Factions - UK,US,GERMANY,FRANCE,POLAND and USSR.
Will Total Tank Simulator be coming to other platforms/ MAC, LINUX? At this stage, the focus of the development is Windows only.
Will there be DLC’s after the initial release? A modern-era DLC has been mentioned on Steam. The plan is to bring some additional content post-launch!
It’s shape or form, delivery date or whether it will be paid or free is still TBD. Our decision is heavily dependant on the performance of the release and the feedback of the community.
Will there be navy battles in the future? Not in the current plans.
I’ve found a bug! Where is the best place for me to report this? The current build is very different from the last available demo. So far you can let us know on the Steam forum. When releasing the game we will point to specific channels.
Can I play the demo? We are going to be removing the demo soon from your libraries to get ready for release! Keep a look out for any events and footage to see the latest content.
Is Total Tank Simulator going to get a multiplayer mode? We have considered the possibility but for the planned release we will focus exclusively on single player.
How will the campaign be structured? Will it be structured similarly to the one teased in the latest Demo? In Campaign Mode, you will have the possibility of choosing one faction out of 6.
Each nation has a variable number of acts (some offensive, some defensive), Each act will have different battles and you will have some options in choosing different paths to the final victory, whether you want to fight every single battle of take the shortest route to the final confrontation.
The available battles will be under different conditions: your tech tree will be limited on the first stages and you will need to develop it between battles.
Sometimes you will be required to totally defeat the enemy, while on other occasions you will just need to survive an incoming number of enemy waves or, perhaps, destroy to protect specific units!
After each battle, you will be awarded resources according to your performance that will allow you to research new units and acquire forces for your next battle.
You can replay a battle that you lost but, most likely, you will have fewer resources left so you will need to plan very carefully to turn the tide of war.
How many units can we expect per nation? A lot, the number of units is variable per nation but in the game, there are up to 200 different units in-game!
