Today's update brings a number of changes in preparation for the exit of Early Access, which is coming very soon!

The most important feature added is the increase of the level cap from 100 to 999. All experience previously obtained will count towards the new cap, so you may go up a number of levels at once if you reached level 100 some time ago.

On top of that, you now have a very slight chance of getting a gold nugget when harvesting items. This chance will increase along with the level of an item.

Gold nuggets can be exchanged in a new building, the Pawn Shop, for other currency and resources.

We've also done some changes to the way game data is stored. This should lead to slightly shorter load times. You shouldn't have any problem with that, but please let us know if you experience any issue.

New features:
  • New resource: Gold Nugget. There's a very small chance of getting a gold nugget when harvesting items.

New items:
  • Pawn Shop, a building where you can trade gold nuggets for money and resources.
  • Modern Cooker (can be placed instead of the standard cooker).
  • Modern Fridge
  • New roads: Stone Tiles, Slate trail, gold trail
  • Plenty of new recipes and paintings.

Gameplay changes:
  • Increased level cap to 999. All levels above 100 will require the same amount of experience to level up.

Improvements:
  • Changed the way game data is stored. This is an engineering improvement that will enable us to create new builds faster, and could improve loading times too.
  • Improved fish rendering performance, like we did with animals in an earlier update.
  • Improved tree rendering performance when having many trees of the same type together.
  • Changed a bit the way Farmhands work area preview is shown.
  • Recipes are properly sorted in the Select Recipe window.
  • Shop window should fit in screen in 5:4 aspect ratios (for old TFT screens).

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed Farmhand Shop preview now being blacked out if you had it locked.
  • Fixed House Shop window showing all items as new when visiting another farm.

Today we're releasing a hotfix patch addressing some minor issues that were introduced in yesterday's update.

Gameplay changes:
  • Farmhands can now be paid in advance, up to 4 times.

Bugfixes:
  • Should have fixed the lights staying on/off at wrong times.
  • Fixed goats' bottle milks being shown even when not ready to harvest.
  • Fixed floating donkeys.
  • Fixed wrong value displayed for medals in the recycle dialog if you had more than 1 farmhand.

Today's update brings a number of new items and some changes and improvements to farmhands, following community requests:

Today's Farm showcase: My best friend by papillon96


New items:
  • 3 New avatar faces
  • New trees: Yuzu tree and Tangerine tree
  • New fish: Clam, Oyster and Mussel

Improvements:
  • Improved rendering method for animals, it should improve performance when many of them are visible on screen.
  • A farmhand character is now shown on the Farmhand building preview
  • Buildings that have reached its placement limit (such as houses, points of interest, etc) will be shown as unavailable in the Shop.
  • Buildings can now be sorted by availability. Utility buildings (fuel stations, points of interest) will be shown first, and more expensive buildings will be also shown first.
  • Reduced controller vibration while moving with the tractor.
  • Farmhands will now have a small icon on the map.

Gameplay changes:
  • Farmhands: Now only online time is counted towards their contract length.
  • Farmhands: Upkeep price changed to 2 tickets every 2 hours.
  • Farmhands: Reduced farmhand price increase after the first one placed. The difference in medals will be refunded upon loading the farm.
  • Farmhands will now work a little faster (less delay between tasks).

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed shop window not opening in the plants category when interacting with plowed land.
  • Fixed "Controller Disconnected" window text having a wrong layout.
  • Fixed Avatar default hair color (was grey, should have been brown).
  • Should have fixed problem with trees sometimes being rendered with the "see-through" in the shop preview.
  • Fixed "[unknown]" username for non-friends on the Guestbook list. Note that people that signed prior to this update can still be shown this way until you reopen the window again.

Today we're releasing an update addressing some of the issues found in yesterday's one.

Gameplay changes:
  • Farmhands can now harvest from honeycombs.
  • Increased Farmhands range by 1 (which means a 40% working area increase).

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed farmhands not always harvesting Ponds.
  • Fixed farmhands not initializing properly when no save was present.
  • Fixed some minor farmhands networking issues.
  • Fixed the "New" icon being shown on locked items.
  • Fixed error when opening the Guestbook for the first time.

Is your farm getting too big to handle it all by yourself? Don't worry, farmhands come to the rescue!

Farmhands will take care of most items within their range, for a price of course.

We're also adding the Guestbook, a Decoration where visiting players can sign and leave a message for others to see.

With this update, we're entering the final phase of development and heading towards the full release. We will soon increase game price, and we're currently working on a "Supporters Pack" that will be given for free to people that helped development during Early Access, so now it's a good time to get the game!

New features:
  • Farmhands, workers that will take care of tiles around them for a daily payment. You can customize their body in the Customize section (other features will be randomized).
  • Guestbook, where visitors can sign and leave messages.

New items:
  • 3 new Tractor Antennae
  • New hair: Messy

Improvements:
  • Done a number of improvements that should speed up farm loading.
  • There's now a "Skip tutorial" button in the pause menu.
  • Event items now are labeled as such in the shop/customization window.

  • The character doesn't need to recover its speed after jumping a fence (so overall you'll walk faster over fences).

  • Fixed Pet particle issues when they teleport
  • Fixed camera rotation issues with the game paused.

  • "Recent Visitors" and "Custom Permissions" sections have been added to Farm Settings in the pause menu (only visible if someone did join your farm, or if you assigned custom permissions to someone), so you can favorite/change permissions/ban after a player has left.
  • Added Vietnamese language. Kudos to Nguyễn Thành Đạt for the translation (this was actually added in past week's update, but we forgot to mention it).
