Airport CEO is translated using the online crowd translation tool Localizor, and as a result of all of your hard work we can now happily announce that we've over the past few months and weeks have enabled support for multiple new languages in Airport CEO. We now officially support Russian, Turkish, Czech, Dutch and Simplified Chinese (... and even Italian on an experimental basis). Here are a few questions you might have relating to these new languages...
How do I change language?
Launch into the game's main menu and go to the gameplay settings menu. Click on the preferred language's flag and accept the prompt by pressing "OK". The game will now reboot into your preferred language version.
Why is some text on the experimental branch not localized?
The experimental branch is our fast paced development branch where we primarily focus on implementing features and content. When new content is added, the text we produce for the interface is written in English and the translation of that text is automatically placed in a localization backlog. Once we've accumulated enough text, or once we deploy a new major update, the text in the backlog will be translated.
Why is some text on the default branch not localized?
The Alpha 34 update contains around 20% of the game's total amount of text, meaning that all of the new content added in this update has understandably not yet been fully translated. In most cases there's a few percent of each language that's not yet been translated, but as Airport CEO becomes more and more complete the text will eventually be fully translated.
Why is the word "[insert any word]" incorrectly translated?
Airport CEO consist of a lot of complex industry terminology. We would love your feedback on the language you've chosen in the game and you can send it directly to us via the bug reporting panel, or reach out to us via any of our social channels!
Can I help out translating?
Yes you can! Airport CEO is translated using Localizor and we'll always need your native language expert help on translating the texts of the game. Learn more about it here or head over immediately to Airport CEO on Localizor to get started!

Release notes - Airport CEO - Version Alpha 34.5-0
] - Job task backlog distribution now sorts by distance to allow for better balancing of employees and job tasks that are not located in the same zone area
] - Security check-point job tasks can in rare instances where a security officer cannot get to their original start position be reassigned to an incorrect new start position causing security check-point activation to deadlock
While Alpha 34 of course is compatible with Alpha 33 saves, we highly recommend that you start a new airport and experience the new progression system, and everything else, from a fresh save. The tutorial has been updated and should guide you along the steps necessary for making sure that you hit the ground running with research development.
How do I get busy with research and development?
Head over to the staff tab and hire some admins! Make sure you have a staff room with office desks and they will quickly embark to those desks to begin their work.
How does the new rating system impact me?
In multiple ways! The new rating display, found in the lower right corner of the UI, is packed with hover tool tips that’ll instruct you on what each score represents and what you need to do in order to improve that score.
What about all those minor changes you’ve made, how do I find them?
Go discover them! The change log is there to aid you in what is new, if you can’t find something or if something doesn’t activate or makes sense then please let us know.
As per usual we'll of course monitor the health of this deployment and be back with updates as necessary.
Hello everyone! We're finally back in full action after a few weeks of low productivity and it feels great to be back. Alpha 34 is currently being tested on the experimental branch with loads of new features and system to take note off and we're digging into the testing phase in this week's development blog Dev Blog 143: Back in business with Alpha 34 on the experimental branch.
Feels amazing to be back and starting off the decade with more ACEO development!
We're back just before Christmas with a little holiday update, consisting of a few important bug fixes but also a small, well perhaps not so small in size, Christmas present!
The Airbus A350-1000, flown by Olympus, is now available! If you have an existing contract with Olympus at your airport you will need to cancel and re-accept it in order to make sure that the 350 is included in Olympus's fleet generation.
As you can see, all aircraft are currently wearing little santa hats as part of the holiday spirit. If you do not want them you can disable it by pressing F10 opening the development panel and pressing the relevant button.
Alpha 33.50-0 brings an initial fix to the issue where passengers in some cases could not access rooms built on upper or lower floors, and also an initial round of fixes for the secure zone disappearance error. In this update we're also adding experimental support for Russian, Czech and Turkish! You can try it out by going into the gameplay panel and switching language by pressing the associated flag.
Lastly, we at Apoapsis Studios (Alexander, Olof and Fredrik) would like to thank you all for this year and hope to see you in the next one - we'll be taking a short holiday leave (although we'll most likely pop by the community now and then) but will be back in early January kicking off with the experimental release of Alpha 34 and a new round of features!
Merry Christmas and fly safe!
Here are the patch notes for the Alpha 33.50-0 update:

Bonjour/hola/olá CEO de/del/do l'aéroport/aeropuerto/aeroporto!
If you haven't noticed it already, Airport CEO now officially supports French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese! Although these languages have been supported as of a minor update for Alpha 33, we've held off with the official announcement to perform another round of quality assurance with the localized text out in the wild. We are as of today happy with the quality of the translations in their early access state and are therefor now ready to claim official support for these languages. Here are a few answers to a few questions you might have...

Then you've found a bug! Airport CEO consists of over 17500 words and in an early access state it's possible for something to slip through. Bug report it using the in-game panel and we'll get busy fixing it!

It's time for a small stabilization update for Alpha 33 with another round of important fixes. Specifically an issue you've reported a lot with passengers that do not show up in time for check-in when the airport is under heavy load has been fixed, along with a few other important solutions.
Here's the patch notes for Alpha 33.8-0:

As we wrote in yesterday's dev blog we've got another little Steam autumn sale surprise update for you. Alpha 33.7-47 brings a few fixes but most importantly introduces the Queen of the Skies to Airport CEO!
The 747 is flown exclusively by Swiftly and if you have an existing contract with Swiftly at your airport you will need to cancel and re-accept it in order to make sure that the 747 is included in Swiftly's fleet generation.
