A new update released. Thank you all for the support, ideas, and help with development. Also, our group call helps us to understand some of your concerns. You are the best community we can imagine.

The main changes are in the flight model. We Redesigned flight physics in airplane mode. Switching to the plane mode, automatically turning on the engine economy mode; increased the aerodynamic effect of the flaps, and other "plumage" of the ship. Also, we added features that you asked for a long time such as: Contacts button (N) - show the list of the current quests, Weather menu.

Another big part of the game that we change is refactoring of all wind, volcanos, weather effects, clouds and etc.. That should increase the FPS.

We reorganized the quest systems in order to make it compatible with the contact feature.

The visual part also changed. We changed the scarab model and an internal view of the rescue capsule. Plus some of the bases have been changed.

We reduced the energy consumption of AR mode and added new upgrades which reduce 10 times the energy consumption.

Game Event


The community of Frontier pilots filed a petition to allow pilots to customize their ships. After long discussions, the Head of Transport Committee signed a paper to allow Frontier Pilots to Customize their ships.
Also, he gave an order to the Raglor engineering department starts to work on the customization boxes and integrate it to each base on the planet. In this regard, 1.000.000 credits have been allocated by Raglor private investors.
Unfortunately, it's now enough. That why the Raglor engineering department asks the Frontier Community to deliver goods on the total amount of 500.000.000 credits. Once this amount will be reached the engineering department installs to each hangar customization boxes.

We will update the total amount each week.

Hello Pilots,
Yesterday we had a long group call with players in the discord. Thank you all for your participation. We will try to make it more often. They share their ideas and problems about the game. It was a very productive call.

We went through all steam topics and highlighted the most common questions. Here it is our answers:

VR
No we don't plan to add VR support in the release version (as part of DLC can be added)

Mouse control
No, it will never be added to the game.

Air Trafic
Yes, it will be in the last update before release

Animals
Yes, it will be in the last update before release

Customization
Yes, it will be in the next update

Flight model
the game has a system that uses the jets to cancel drift in plane mode. The mode changing also changes the way thrust is calculated."Auto-Angle of Attack" is a system that (if ON) 'remove' extra lift to make you fly straighter. Plane-mode landing considered an extra feature originally - we will try to clear the terrain around runways.

How Bank turns works:
  1. ship dragged sideways - the tail began to slow down the ship thanks to the airflow, relative to the rest of the plane
  2. the tail slows down and causes a turn to the side and the top
  3. the more we accelerated to the side, the higher the speed to the side - the more the tail brakes, the more we are turned to a side and top
  4. after some time, the tail, due to a U-turn, no longer turns us around (it already partially follows the wind)
  5. but we have inertia - the turn continues due to mass
  6. and when the tail stops us - it beats against a stream of air from the other side
  7. and we stop turning
  8. ship drags again to the side - we again accelerate to the side - and again the tail begins to turn the ship.
NOTE: the weight distribution of our ships is radically different from modern aircraft. Large weights are located at remote points from the center of mass: engines, which makes our aircraft much more inertial when turning for accelerating the turn and for braking.

Ski level
- As a part of the gameplay, we can not turn it off. We believe its the challenging part of the game.

CargoSpaceWay
We fixed the issue with Ski level, and now you can reach it easily.

AR energy consumption
We added a ship upgrade which reduces the consumption of the energy. Also, we reduced consumption by default.

Ships
Comparison of the ship in the game with the real aircraft. Scarab - it is a helicopter (use for a short distance and landing in the extreme terrain), OX - a mix of the plane and VTOL - mixed flight mechanics, Ballena - C-5 Galaxy mostly use for heavy cargoes and long distances)

Day/Night
We do have a short day/night transitions until we add lights on the bases and plane it will be that short.

Encyclopedia
Yes, we can make it on our web site, and post it right before release.

Tutorial
We have a help screen that explains all of the game controls. Please don't skip it, it will help you to understand the game. Regarding the classical tutorial, we don't want to make it the way - click this button and flight straight. The gameplay of the first island considered a tutorial. We can make explanatory topics about the flight model in the steam right before release.

Weather
Weather is randomly changing as it is in the real world. (you can have bad luck and get 2 storms in the row), but we made a wether indicator, it will help you to plan the route.

Map
We can not stop the game and allow the player to click "M" and watch the map. You have 2 indicators on the top of the screen for this purpose.

Track IR
No, we don't plan to add it to the release.

Ultrawide support
FPS support all of the screen sizes

New Ships
As a part of DLC.

Hotas
FPS support all kinds of joysticks - sometimes you would need to map it by your self.

Radio
We will change the radio topic and add voiced quests, system sounds, ship notifications and etc.

Base building
We do have 1 base which you can build (location - canyon)

Storylines
We already have 2 storylines and 100's of additional quests. To complete 2 storylines you would need 2 weeks of constant gaming, but additional quests make this game infinite.

X-box, Sony
We already applied for X-box and Sony developer's consols. And we will start to work on it after the steam release version.

Performance
with every update we increase the performance and fps. Please start a new profile before each update. (it can influence on the performance)

Multiplayer
After a long discussion with the team and checking unity opportunities in terms of multiplayer. We declined do not add to the release version. (but as part of DLC can be added)

The most important news for today, we sign up for Xbox and Sony PlayStation Account. Once they approve our application we will start to re-code the game. Most likely in 6-12 months, we will be presented in Sony and Microsoft stores.

Regarding the current development.
Our level designer attaching a new terrain plugin. You ll see the result of the storms on the terrain.



We also changed the destruction animation of the alien gun.

Our art designer works on the new transport concept. Guess how it will be used?




Also, we are working on the performance, glitches in the hangar, memory consumptions, and ship behavior. Furthermore, in a few weeks, you will see customization of the ships (for now it will be just 3 skins).

Yesterday one of the players brought up a bug that a lot of people talked about, but nobody could explain and show it. Thank you Ady M, for the video and explanation. (We accidentally turned on the inversion)

Also, we added and reassigned a few buttons on the keyboard:
  • Fixed traction shifted - from X to Caps Lock
  • Answers and optional choice in the ACTIVE MENU MODE - from 1,2 to R, T
  • 1,3 - Roll to the left, right
  • 2, X - pitch
  • Z, C - Strafe

As you demanded we changed the joystick control settings menu. Most of you asked to add a few modes because there are not enough buttons on joysticks.
So, we added 2 modes in each control section: Flight, Menu, Interface.
You can switch modes with the left or right trigger (LB,RB)
Also, we fixed some bugs with passengers and etc.

PLEASE click reset to default settings before setting up.

Thank you to all who participate in our discord conversation. We try to answer all of your questions and will make the following changes based on it.

Controls
After a discussion with players, we realized that we have a lot of players with joysticks who have mapping problems.
We have decided to add several new modes to the control schemes.
  • Flight (Basic, Mode1, Mode2)
  • Actions (Basic, Mode1, Mode2)
  • Mode Shifting
This will optimize the interaction with all ship systems.
The update will most likely be done today and we would need to test it with our players before public release.

Hello Pilots,
New HUGE update released. Thank you all for the support, ideas and help with development. You are the best community we can imagine.
Also, thank you to the people who helped us with testing.

As usual, we worked on every aspect of the game. Let's start with flight physics. After reviewing comments related to the ship behavior we find out the few problems.
Most of the players don't even know about auto-leveling switcher. Please press B if you would like to have a full simulator experience. (by default auto-leveling is turned off.) The maximum angle of the wing attack behavior changed.

Also, a lot of pilots complain about mission logs. We added a new button on the map menu - Contacts. It's like mission logs. Here you will contact passengers, communicate with them and follow the quest reports.

Animation has been updated as well in the hangar, on the bases. We added people around and made them move more realistic.

Another aspect which becomes better - effects. We change the rain effect, volcano and damage effects of the cargospaceway.

Our audio specialist made a great job with the sound. We normalize the sounds, updated system alerts, and effects of the engines.

In addition, we rewrote all of the quests in order to fit in the new contact panel. NOTE: you might need to start a new game and delete the previous progress because of the new system. All previous bugs with quests fixed.

Oh and one more thing. We made new clouds. It should look more realistic and consume less memory.
