Hey Portians!

The end of the month is here and that means only one thing… New content for My Time At Portia!
The developers at Pathea have been working extra hard to get this content to you in time so that you all have something extra to play over the Easter break and have even included some extra features that weren’t even planned for this update!

Check out some of the biggest additions here or scroll down for the full change list!

LIVESTOCK & HORSE RIDING!

From today onwards you’ll be able to keep and look after your own animals, including sheep, chicken, ducks and cows! Look after them well and they’ll reward you with milk and eggs, and you’ll even be able to breed them! What’s more, we’ve also added horse riding to the game! Head to MacDonald’s farm and you’ll be able to enjoy a horse ride alone or with that special someone if you’ve been lucky enough to find a romantic partner.

PORTIA MUSEUM

Portia’s brand-new museum is nearly open for business! Starting with this update, there’s a new story mission to help build the museum. Once you’ve done that, you can then start adding your donations!

Any relics you’ve discovered can be donated here, to be displayed for future Portian generations to enjoy, and you’ll even get paid for your trouble!

The Portia Museum also believes in credit where it’s due, so if you’re the first resident to donate an item then your name will be listed as the donator when checking the relics at the Museum.

What wonders will you add to the exhibitions? Make sure to share your screenshots with us on Steam and on social media so we can see what you’ve found!

A NEW DUNGEON IN THE DESERT

Head out to Portia’s new desert area and you’ll find lots of new gameplay to discover. There’s a brand new dungeon to explore, with enemies to fight and relics to be found, as well as several new crafting quests!

STAR GAZING

We’ve made a few improvements to the relationship system in this update, including the option to kiss or hug your significant other anywhere in Portia.

Hey Portians!

We want to share some more information with you about what’s in our next update, landing later this month…

Animals

This update will add livestock to your game! Which means you’ll be able to keep chickens, ducks, cows and sheep. You’ll need to feed them to keep them happy and they will produce resources like milk and eggs, for example. Ensure that they are well fed, and you’ll be able to breed them! You’ll also be able to feed other creatures in Portia, but we’ll let you discover this for yourselves!

Portia Museum

In this story update, you’ll receive a new mission to help build the museum. Once complete, the museum will be used to display all of the relics found in Portia, along with the names of the people who donated them. And, yes, you will get paid for donating relics to the museum! The museum will have themed exhibitions and if you donate relevant relics in time, you will be rewarded.

There will also be a noticeboard inside the museum, where people can exchange their relic pieces. Bring your duplicate pieces here to swap for pieces you need!

All the relics displayed in the museum are different, and there is only one spot for each relic, which means the name of the donator is determined by who donated faster. Will it be you, or Higgins?

Relationships

We’re making some changes to the relationship side of things in My Time At Portia. We’re adding more interaction bubbles in this patch, and you won’t need to be on a date! You will be able to go up to your spouse on the street, and give them a hug and a kiss.

We’re also planning to add in reactions from other passers-by. So when you show affection to your spouse, they might roll their eyes or hide their face from embarrassment and run away!

What would you like to see?

That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more info!

After a month of reading through all the submissions (around 300), every word and every idea. We’ve come down to eight freelance writers that we’ll work with to help us expand the story and write all the character missions and dialogues. They are Mu Ren GQ., Lucy S., Aubrey A., Stephanie M., Louise S., Rhy, Chris M., and Lucy Ann J. Congrats!

To everyone who submitted, thank you all so much! There were so many interesting ideas and takes on the characters and the world. We’ll probably end up using some of the ideas, and we’ll be sure to contact the original writers for their permissions.
